Creating wood. Is the problem just the wasteland location?

I have yet to earn enough caps for a tent, so I don't really want to be trekking miles across the wasteland, just for a few pieces of wood.

In this tile I usually find a cave with trees in front of it very often. If you still aren't finding wood, you have bad luck.   :-\

Question:
How do I adjust the size of the picture on this forum?
I saw it be done in the Event's help guides, but of course there isn't a help guide topic on Forum formatting.

*edit2* Are the 'junk barrels' now obsolete? I have located 2 outside NCR that have the 'bottles' in front of it, as I saw described in another thread, but again, no hand icon. Are city map locations the only way to get some now?


Another question, for when I do have my character up and running...  Are their factions that will actually take a lower level character, or do I need to solo up to lvl21? I would certainly benefit from having other players around to ask dumb questions :)

City maps or traders if you're lucky.

Some factions do, some don't.
Depending on your behavior and skills, someone might ask you to join a faction.

Well, I have +1000 caps sitting in a bank now, thanks to crafting 10mm guns. San Fran seems to be a much nicer place to start - less thieves and all the scaveging materials close by.

I still need my 10 Brahmin hides and I need to go back to NCR to get them as far as I can tell. Since Brahmin encounters happen around there.

But ammo? In Fallout 2 the AP and JHP ammo were broke and acted the same iirc. I know the Restoration Pack and some other mods gave you the option to change that, but it was not popular, and/or wasn't considered working right either.

How does the FOnline ammo work?

Well if you're hunting SF caravans or things like that for PvE and if you are really sure you will find ONLY bluesuits/leather jacket in PvP, yes, it can change.

When equipped my 10mm pistol does not show its graphic in the bottom use item box, although it is fireable.  Is this a standard bug?

Also how do I Aimed Fire in Turn-based combat? There is no right-click function on the item box (as I am used to from FO2).

There are a few sectors close to SF where you can find brahmins.
1 is 6 sectors above SF, 1 is 2 sectors below Mariposa military base.
Check the Fallout Encounter Finder (http://www.nitue.net/fef/index.php).
Around NCR there are plenty of sectors to find brahmin, but also a higher chance to run into pk.
Buying them in NCR means watching out for pk, thieves and taggers.
If you have SF train station on your map, take the train to the Boneyard.
From there travel to the Hub.
There are 3 sectors around the Hub which also offer Brahmin encounters.

i have an issue.. i just recently planed on getting energy weapons profession level 1 but jefferson at navarro doesnt seem to aknowloge my stats and i dont get the option to buy the lessons..

i have: 9 int, 70 sience, 84 energy weapons.. i also have doc 3 and armorer 1 but theres no limit on professions is there?

please respond

3 + 1 = 4, and 4 is the maximum number of professions you can have. Sorry, you can't get energy expert, or any other profession.

There's a limit of 4 Profession levels.  so 3 + 1 or 2 + 2, or I guess 1 + 1 + 1 + 1.

There is no option to unlearn one.  As far as the Wiki says anyway.

I'm only level four. I have no problem crafting some .44 ammo with the possibility of selling it for 800 caps per 100. But, I really can't find any vendors that actually have caps on them - I've tried NCR, Junktown, The Hub. I could do with the caps so I can train my professions.

Are there any vendors that typically have plenty of caps and bad enough barter skill that I can sell my ammo for a standard price?

The three places that you mentioned are, of course, the three guarded towns, they are are going to have the most traffic. You'll need to go to unguarded towns if you really want to make some $$$.

Are Brahmin bugged atm?  When I was level 2 or 3 I killed plenty, just north of NCR, with a DE.44 pistol.

But for tor the last two evenings, and I am now level 6, I hit them with my new hand-crafted DE.44 and it always does 0 damage. Even crits to the eyes.  I do not have any problem with scorpions, little geckos, mole rats etc. 

*JHP ammo in both cases.

That thread you mention is a general chit-chat thread. Threads with multiple 100 pages aren't that comfortable to search through.

Yeah, I do have Finesse, and I did consider that.  But really, I farmed 10 Brahmin for my tent very early on without an issue, infact they were the first encounter I didn't run away from. It would be odd if this was the cause now.

Ugh, there are literally hundreds of things to try and work out.  My first character is probably already a mess but... I haven't found any tables/forumula for deciding on how much you need to spend on your chosen Gun skill.

In my case I have Finesse/One-Hander and Perception of 6. I intend to use the .223 pistol as my main weapon. Any idea how much I need to invest in Small Guns to allow for good targetted shots at 25-30y range?

Also, is there any good reason to push my Repair past 120% (for SmallGunsProf3) up to about 150%? Or are my points better spent elsewhere? I might need those points for Small Guns depending on the answer anyway..

Your going to want about 220, possibly a little more to get max-range eye shots. Experiment with your pistol as you level up, if you want exactly skill levels. Of course, if you plan to fight people in BA or metal armor, you're gonna have to raise what you would have had to meet the Armor Classes.

Don't bother raising it to 150%. It is either the minimum for profession, or 180%+.

specially since the .44 magnum JHP ammo is bugged when critting in the eyes, and the head, and any limbs asides the chest, even if you by any chance get an armour bypass critical it'll still do 0 damage, never got it, it is -80% damage, therefore, the critter has some form of magical ward on his eyes because torso hits and crits do normal damage, more or less, about 33% less than without finesse, so apparently, the small guns JHP ammo +DR doesn't count if you have finesse when doing torso shots...

In the Q&A #2 thread, several people stated that they do (as of 2-3 months ago), but apparently the HQ deposits are a bit tricky to locate within the mine map.

I'm embarrassed to ask this question, since I've been playing Fallout for 13 years, but it may be different in FOnline anyway: Can I save my Lv. 3 perk and use it once I hit level 5 (but before 6)? Or does it need to be used before I hit level 4?

I ask because Survivalist would actually be useful if I could activate it with Outdoorsman already over 100%.

I've swapped to exclusively using .44 FMJ ammo and the improvements are dramatic. Brahmin take damage as they should, and so do humans and a couple of other tougher things.  Knowing about the JHP bug is useful thanks.

It's still a mystery why I could kill Brahmin at an early level, but not a later level. But nevermind.

yeah, you can save up the perk until before you get your next one, if you want to save up several perks it aint gonna work. *whispers* balancing issues

Harold in Gecko doesn't want to trade with me, even though he is on the merchants list in the wiki. Is this because I fail a speech check, a CH check, a reputation check, or a level requirement?

Same question for getting the BoS quest and and being able to buy a VC day-pass.

APPARENTLY, they can only "accidentaly" mine hq ore and minerals at the gecko mine where there is normal and hq.

I think this is very dumb. I tried it and I get very very few resources that I actually need. Can this be fixed? Like being able to choose which rock you want he slaves to kill?

It seems like I get fewer encounters (whether automatic or avoidable) with 150%+ Outdoorsman than on a character with low Outdoorsman. It can be 2-3 minutes between finding something occasionally, just killing scorpions, molerats and the like. Of course, my first character got encounters every five seconds, seems like.

Is there a better way to get encounters than wandering the world map? Or is there perhaps some other factor I'm unaware of?

Why do you allow SF Caravans to have 15 gaurds?  Me and my mercs were literally Insta killed, I'm not exaggerating.

No screens because like i said, insta kill, impossible to screen all.

In the few days I've been playing, I've learned this: Pretty much everyone (on their barter alts, anyway) keeps large quantities of poor-quality ammunition and weapons on hand. Almost as soon as NPCs regenerate their caps, players sell the crap and get caps for it. Basically, you have to be extremely lucky with your timing. Within 1-15 minutes (depending on location), the caps will be gone.

You'll have better luck in out-of-the-way places like San Francisco or an unguarded town, but even San Francisco is cleaned out on caps most of the time, in my experience. In an unguarded town, 90% of the time you'll be killed and have your items taken, so even if there are caps available at traders there, there's an excellent chance you'll lose them before (or right after) you get them.

As for making caps from players, no one buys poor-quality ammunition or weapons. They'll only buy ammo and weapons that require HQ ores and minerals, and to get these, you'll have to risk mining at an unguarded mine... or join a gang... or strike a deal with an existing gang for "protection," perhaps, so they won't kill you when you mine at a dangerous location.

Fortunately, other than cars, mines and bases, you really only need caps for professions and train tickets (AFAIK). Even so, I find this system of caps distribution incredibly random and aggravating.

Instead of regenerating 10,000-30,000 caps every few hours (or whatever it is now), I personally believe it should be something like 1,000 caps every few minutes.

I don't know if it already implemented, but making time when NPCs regenerate thier caps random each time from one minute to some hours will be good. So you'll need to camp at a trader if you want be the first and the only one who will get all thier caps.

Lockpick with a key in your hand, if the lockpick is success, it will become the key of your car.

First, long time ago, I was thinking that Finesse has no drawback if you bypass an armor,
then someone said that's not true. I believed him when saw how "great" my damage is even if I bypass.
But developer said it negates DR, so it should be true.

Edit:
Even after reading that Finesse has no drawbacks if you bypassing armor, I still don't like to shoot in the eyes, but arms and legs, because even with armor bypass my damage isn't so good, as simple crit without finesse.
If you played whole time with finesse chracter, and then create non-finesse sniper, you'll start to think that your 3-4th level sniper will own everyone after watching it's damage.
So, as for me, Finesse is a crippler only trait.

T-Ray duplicates all keys
We used him to duplicate the yellow keycard from the bunker base.
Duplicates show up as normal keys, but they work fine.

you roll a result on the critical hit table, with better crits you get +20 to your (1d100 roll, >115= instakill for eye/head shots not sure about this though, I'm jsut taking wild guesses...), with the current critical tables from what I've gathered this season, otherwise I'm oblivious to the critical tables...

Traits: Small Frame, Finesse

Tagged skills: Small guns, Unarmed* (or whatever you want really, the unarmed is good for playing alone, useful vs humanoid enemies who don't have decent armour and a gun), First Aid/Doctor.

*if you do take unarmed, take it up to 102% ASAP, It will save you gallons of money and ammo in the end.
Note, this build makes the favourite low tier pistols do 0 damage in aimed shots (.44 Magnum JHP), so the deagle and the magnum revolver will be useless if you use the JHP ammo.

Perks:
3. Whatever you want
6. More criticals
9. Better criticals
12 Lifegiver
15. More criticals/lifegiver**
18. More Criticals
21. Brof/more crits**/Living anatomy***

**If you do take the second lifegiver you should take more criticals now

Note 2: this is a pure critical build with a 95% chance of a critical hit in the eyes

Tjis is pretty much the build of Tacitus, except that I messed it up so I could wear my Power Armour with him, so I chose as my 15th level perk Pack Rat, I don't regret it though, because the HPA loks so damn awesome.

Just in case you didn't notice - the picture in your signature is a) much wider in the vertical way then in horizontal way (which is bad for forums signatures and should be common sense that it's a bad idea in the first place) and b) too big, thus it gets auto-fitted to the forum, resulting in a ridicolous looking picture you now have, Michel. ;)

I use Photobucket too and have for years, but Imageshack has two advantages over Photobucket: 1.) It's quick, no need to mess around with logging in or albums; and 2.) it accepts MUCH larger image sizes.

Anything over 1,000 px wide or so and Photobucket will resize it. Not so with Imageshack, you can upload huge pictures there if you want.

If you played whole time with finesse chracter, and then create non-finesse sniper, you'll start to think that your 3-4th level sniper will own everyone after watching it's damage.
So, as for me, Finesse is a crippler only trait.

My first character took Finesse and my general damage was incredibly low. I'm just laughing now I'm playing my second character without Finesse - the damage is so much more reliable. I just don't think 10% crit is worth the huge negative.

If you're going to cripple hands, and you're not alone, then you don't need do damage, and 10 LK + x3 more critical isn't enough for crit % to arms often, Finesse helps you to shoot arms with critical shots. Also really good thing that you don't care what weapon you use, every weapon cripples the same regardless of ammo and damage, the best weapon is laser pistol (or magneto laser pistol), because it's the lowest AP consumer with the larger shooting range. Even if you haven't score cripple, with better criticals perk it's almost always will be atleast weapon drop, and of couse it's very annoying. Especially with current bug, when it'll be great mistake to pick up droped weapon or your client will crash.

I don't understand why Finesse hurts your damage output as a sniper. I believe Lexx (or some developer) stated that if you score a critical hit, the target's DR bonus from Finesse is also ignored. If 95% of your eye shots are critical hits (at higher character levels), what's the downside? For damage, aim for the eyes; for crippling, aim for the arms. True, on a roll of 1-20 you won't bypass armor, but with Better Criticals you'll always roll 21 or higher. Then again, maybe the crit table is different in FOnline.

I've also heard people state that, with Finesse, you'll do "0 damage" on Radscorpions with .44 JHP weapons. How is that possible? I do an average of 20 damage per shot with a .44 Magnum on Radscorpions. The DR penalty from Finesse is only 30. That's different from DT; DR reduces damage by a percentage. So I should do an average of 14 damage to Radscorpions with .44 JHP (on a non-crit) with that weapon. If it's 0 when people test it, then it needs to be bugged.

It's possible 0 damage if target has atleast 20% reduction, or 10-15% reduction and some damage treshold.

50% from mag JHP ammo + 30% Finesse = 80%

So you deal 20% of damage.

Natural armor of critters usually 20% may be a bit less.

It means magnum JHP ammo + Finesse = weapon of sadist who likes to cripple limbs without killing target.

Oh right, I forgot about that.

.44 JHP gives a 3x damage bonus along with the 50% DR. So you're looking at 36-54 base damage (average of 45), modified by 50% DR from the ammo, +30% from Finesse. On Radscorpions, that would do an average of 9 damage on a non-crit. On enemies with 20% natural DR or more, yeah, it would be 0 damage.

But if you score a crit, their natural DR and the DR from Finesse is canceled, so you should still do more than 0 damage, if you're critting. Not sure if the ammo's DR bonus is also canceled (probably not).

Final answer: Use 14mm AP or .223 FMJ to level a Finesse character at first.  ;)

Hum, bypass each time with better critical is in very old crit table, actual, there is a lot less bypass: they still happen, but not always/often.
Also, it's even less bypass in head, and the most frequent shot is in the head.
Actually, with finesse, you will do really low damage, particulary on armoured target or with JHP ammo, but even with AP.

Ah. Well, if they've altered the Fallout 2 crit tables so that bypass doesn't happen all (or most) of the time... then as others have said, I suppose Finesse is crippler-only.

As originally written, with Better Criticals you would always bypass armor. I did notice that the devs raised instakill criticals from 101+ to 115+.

Well I noticed today that both bypasses and knockout have been improved (happen more often). And well, i have to cry: SNIPER OP!
Man, in the fight today, sniper have the same DPS than me with my avenger, and i spend most of my time lying on the ground watching my HP decreasing and the red AP bar don't move.
Knockout is the worst critical you can eat with instant...

as far as I've played it, it plays out like that, but then again, it makes up for the permanent 0 damage limb attacks, so yeah, that ammo is quite bugged. Hipefully a dev will look through the ammo once again, because the armour bypass crits shouldn't do 0 damage, ever, I'd say it's pretty fucked up, now to dust off my copy of arcanum and play it once again, FOnline has gotten a bit bland, for now at least... Bloody .44JHP slugs, ruin a weapon I've wanted to use with my crippler...

My own questions:

If you have Lockpick 300%, will Expanded Lockpicks add an extra 50% to that (for purposes of crafting strong locks and etc.) or is it basically capped at 300%? How about Repair and Super Tool Kit, same principle?

Also, does adding more Outdoorsman beyond 150% increase speed any further, or just the rate of previewing encounters?

I've been looking around on the forums for a while now trying to get some info on the approximate spawn points for various bases.

In particular, the Gas Station. It's purchased in Redding, does that mean that in general it will be located around Redding? Or could we end up as far away as north of Modoc/Klamath/VC? In that same vein, would it be equally likely to get something as far south as Gordon's/New Reno/San Fran?

Anyone care to share their experience with the base spawn locations?

EDIT: And if anyone has any definite info on #'s of containers in any of the bases, that'd be useful too. The wiki is quite hit-and-miss for base info.

Market price + value of equipment. Market price falls when no one buys the merc and rises a little (globally) with each hiring.

Like I said, it's because the Wiki article's base price includes the weapon for all mercs except that one:

Well, i used Fraps to make some little films. In fact i think its so far one of the better programs to record ingame stuff. But you need to set it on record in full resolution and highest frame rate available (recording in half size of the original resolution causes ugly looking films). The recorded film looks really good but of course its the raw-file and too big to upload it anywhere. So here comes the nasty part of it. You need to convert it into some common file format and codec. I use Any Video Converter and tried several options there.

You could have a look at those films here:

1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWF6JSK_IiU --> not that good imo but still ok. You can read most of the text and the all in all look seems ok.
2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNZlHHq5h3Y --> better quality in the end. Text looks similar to first one but its a real hard issue to have it look better and not to screw up the file size at the same time.

Both videos are coded as wmv if i remember right. I got the best results with those so far. The videos were captured in highest available game resolution (1280 x 1040).

Yeah, I discovered that the only door leading to Metzger is clogged with militia. Might be a coincidence, but since they're standing in such a neat line, I doubt it.

I can't finish the briefcase quest, nor talk to Metzger to become a slaver and get Slavers rep that way for Small Gunsmith 3. Is it possible to get Slaver rep by killing critters?

Somehow it seems like actually killing those militia might piss someone off, so yeah.

What are the current available faction names? I tried to purchase a base with my mates (there were 3 of us), we did everything by the book but we got stuck on naming our gang/faction. I used the "say"- function and typed out every single name on this list (http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=1623.0), but it kept rejecting me and refused to sell me a base.

No, only unarmed attacks, however I'm not sure about knuckles and power fists... but regular unarmed attacks works. Also I think with all legs and arms broken attack must be called "Bite".

Only base stats affect Perks you get, so if you normally have 7+ AG (without drugs), you should still be able to get the Perk.

Does FOnline make a size check on critter.dat? (like detecting corrupt file)

And is there always a separate .DAT file necessary for new critters? Or is it possible to make a directory architecture for frame files, similar to interface directories?

Anyone know the amount of Doc needed to get about 50% success rate on Weakening at level 21? Yeah I know the 95%-100% success rate is level x 10 = skill needed, so 210, so does that mean about 105 Doctor would be me a 50% success rate, or would I need more or less?

Last time i checked, the .x-files are also packed in .DATs, which represent a packed directory structure. But does it need to be packed and moreover, can they be replaced?

That would be interesting to know, since i'm working on it.

Nope, it will affect your skill. With your scenario, you would suffer a -20% in your weapon skill.

Yes, better idea would be if you would just invest some more points in your Energy Weapons skill, which would negate your ST check.

Is there any way to raise Repair outside of leveling? If I have to raise my repair by reaching another level (I just leveled up, it's 1 SP away from armorer 2!), I think I might just kick this character to the curb.

Of couse not, I think it only checks your .exe for version, or something else for version. So client says to you that your version is too old and then it requires update, or else it won't start game.
You can even remove factionXX.dat from your FOnline folder, it'll say to run updater, but you still can play without it.

Last time i used modified critter.dat, FOnline.exe said that said file couldn't be found. I imported the modified female bluesuit FRMs with DAT Explorer back then.

Well people can play with different .dat files because they have different Fallout versions, first I had russian version so I used rus master and critter, but there was something lack, now I use full eng master/critter version, bth worked fine before and now, so I don't know what wrong can be.

Does the Ranger Perk really gives a chance to find "special' encounters and do they exist at all? Or is it better to take the survivalist perk for 25 outdoorsman instead of 15%?
Also, which perk is best taken at lvl 6: Educated, Survivalist, Ranger or Swift Learner? Or any other perk is better?

Not swift learner, it's useless in the long-run, educated is okay, if you need high skill points, Survivalist is best taken when you already have your Outdoorsman above 120 and beyond that, because it doesn't take the increased skill points needed into account.

Depending on your build, there are other great Perks like More Criticals, Toughness, etc, but out of the 4 perks you listed, I would go with Survivalist if you already have high skill, or educated.

You just need to log in atleast once per 30 days, or else it'll disappear. There's no any warnings.

Damn it.

4 ST means you're going pistols, so take One Hander trait instead of damend Finesse.
Or make 5 ST and again don't take Finesse.
Or take Finesse and then lower LK to 6, and shoot hands whole your life, because with finesse you'll never be happy with this "damage", but +10% crit will affect hand critical good, because LK plays minor role there, so 8 or 6 LK won't change anything and you better spend these 2 points on EN.
If not one-hander and not finesse, then you can take good natured to boost doc+fa.
Also if you don't have 10 AG, you can take kamikaze trait, so your drawback will be lower, +5 sequence really does nothing if you're not going TB, but I don't like +6 bonus to AC ;p  I prefer +0 or +10.
So small frame+good natured and 5 ST
or small frame+one hander and 4 ST
or small frame+finesse and 6 LK, and forget about head/eye shots.

Do slaves work in private mines? If so, other players not stealing from your slaves could be an advantage of owning a mine.

They do and did it already pre-wipe. But the problem is: why should you spend 75K caps to get 65K out of it? That would make absolutely no sense, since the mines have depleting ressources.

No one can get to your tent unless:
- they were close to you when you created it in which case they always see it on the map
- they're in your team when you go to your tent. When they leave they can't see it on the worldmap
- they have tagged you to follow you without you noticing it. When they leave they can't see it on the worldmap

I wanted to ask if this line from wiki is accurate. It's about NPC-driven factions and reputation.

Automatically make other players losing BoS/VC/... reputation (-50 per hit) when those players hurt or try to hurt the Initiate player.

And if it is then is it anyhow disabled when I am at Hinkley's arena or any ("FFA") event?

Either that's incorrect or there's a bug in the game.
My alt with 41 FA has a 7 minutes cooldown, an alt with 14% has 25 minutes.

It obviously doesnt show the seconds but it still rounds the 5 down to a 4.

I know you need atleast 7 strength to worry about crafting the level 3 stuff.

I just want to know how much str I would need if I bought all my big guns or if a faction mate made them for me :)

The amount of strength you need for the Profession isn't related to the amount of Strength you need to handle the weapons correctly.

You need 6 Strength to be able to access the dialog to get BG 3 Profession, but the Avenger Minigun and Improved Flamer require 7 Strength to use.

If you have less than 7 Strength when using the weapon, it makes it so you have -20% skill points when it comes to the accuracy of your weapon, and an small increased chance to critically miss.

Worked for 4 hours straight collecting 32 pieces of high quality iron ore.
The minute I enter the world map to make the trip back to the tent I find that the dark places on the map are not illuminating appropriately.
So I log out and back in. First attempt I was told to contact system admin because my character was still logged in. Second attempt I logged in, dead.

All that time wasted!
Can anyone tell me what can be done?

it's half of that I believe (3), but I could be wrong, bad idea to take FM in any case, you're better off taking good natured or small frame really... two of the most useful traits ingame at the moment...

from what I've gathered the formula for the healing rate is EN/2+X=HR where X=2 or X=0

The higher your Armor Class (AC) is, the more % in your enemies attack skill are needed to land a hit.

Meh. 5 ammo capacity. Compare it with Plasma pistol? 32 Ammo capacity(ext cap), and 15-35 damage with cheap SEC.

.223 have -20 DR and -20 AC but still you do about the same damage, just a little bigger range. Oh and you have to reload every turn if you would go a gunslinger. Pfft.

Screw it im making an energy gunslinger. Wonder if i ever get a pulse pistol hehe.

As far as I have noticed there are none. But perhaps you have luck 1, someone around have trait jinxed, the improved flamer was too much deteriorated (or crafted from already broken flamer) or you just passed chance one in a billion.

And I have question as well. About this improved flamer: What does perk flameboy do? It is not listed on wiki with other weapon perks.

No jinxed, it was made from a 0 det flamer and was a 0 det improved flamer and there was no jinxed chars and my luck is 6. Flameboy just changes which animations are used when you kill.

I want some general wipe-accurate (since things were obviously changed) info on cars.

If you park one, can anyone see it on the map now?
If you run out of gas, can anyone see it on the map now?

Does a car replace your outdoor skill? If so, how much does a car have?
Does a car take a follower/mercenary slot?
Other than slots (seats) and maximum fuel capacity what is the difference between each car? What is so good about the Highwayman that makes it cost that much more than a Hummer?

Can you get back in a car and drive off in an encounter?
If you get in an encounter and accidentally leave the encounter via exit grid can you go back and get your car??

One more little question.
You say you can rejoin the encounter and grab your car again if someone else hasn't already.
If other players cannot see your car on the map how can they encounter it and drive off in it?

Of couse it adding to total damage, over all DRs and DTs.
So you'll always deal atleast 5 damage, even if armor absorbed whole damage.

You getting some XP if heal your or someone's broken limb/damaged eye.
If you heal weakness, you don't get any XP.

As you heard they getting 21st level in 5 hours on cents.
I got 21st level on mutated moles in 9 hours, playing 3 hours per day for 3 days.
Moles are better for economy, you need only 1-2 bullets to kill one and get 300 XP if you're able to do aimed shots.
Cents probably a choice for BGers with flamers, because I don't know what crit effects they have for snipers.
Death claws... high HP, fast, what for? I think if you're going to spend alot bullets on mobs to get XP, then go for cents, if not, then moles.

Deathclaws populrity for pexing is from the degressive XP era, where it was the final mob to give some xp when you were close to 21. But well, it's suraly far better to pexe at centaurs/mutated molerat now.

Vendor at Adytum trades with ugly mutants, but he buys only ammo and guns for normal prices, and probably armor, atleast he sells armor.

I really don't think so. I checked all the mineral-description spots. Two of them are HQ minerals, and three of them are Uranium Ore.  imo, they should make one of the Uranium spots into a regular minerals spot.

The Gecko one is missing an HQ minerals spot.

In the dead end on on the right where you have 2 HQ ore spots and a minerals spot next to each other, there's an HQ minerals spot a little lower.
It's in the corner, straight right of that wooden fence.
I can circle it when I get home, but that's in another 8 hours.

Hello, 2 questions:

Gliching
[edit] solved the gliching by following this http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=6888.0 ..but the second issue however, with the tiny box windowed mode, has yet to be solved.

1) When Im moving about ingame all these glichy artifacts appear on the tiles. When I stop moving, some of them dissapear, I start moving again and theres everywhere again. Image below. Really annoying.

Small Windowed Mode

2) The really small windowed mode just isnt doing it for me, how do I change it to my normal unwindowed res? My resolutions 16:9 (indeed sexy) would be happy if I could achieve something close to that rather then tiny box window.

System details:

Playing game on Windows 7 64.
With 1gig 4670 gpu installed it did this(glitchy tile artifacts), and when I uninstalled an sold said gpu today, it still glitches like before.

2. I tend to go with 230%, but 220% will probably be enough for the PRs range

Probably, just mess with .dat files, I'm sure that you can change one sprite pack on another, but 3D to 2D... probably possible too.

Is here anyone who completed quest for Iguana Pete from Hub and is willing to help me?

I am stuck at the point where I have to find Pete's son to south from a place beginning with "New"
I had no luck finding him in New Reno (and Golgotha) and New California Republic (and NCR train station and Military camp).

Yes, and Armorer 3 too (7 ST required). Drugs work for professions, but not for perks.

I have some questions regarding the Brotherhood of Steel. I just joined the BoS faction and talked to the paladin in the gym and he gave me the quest to find ten radscorpion tails. The problem is, when I returned to him with the ten tails I was only able to tell him that I hadn't finished the quest. Is this a bug, or did I forget to bring something? I believe he asked me to bring him ten radscorpion tails but I may be wrong and the damn assignment isn't visible in the Pip-Boy either. Also, is it normal for the other "Brothers" to completely ignore me? So far the dude in the gym and Jenna have been the only people I have been able to talk to. Do I need a higher charisma (my CH is only 4) or speech skill? Maybe I'll try with mentats...

Yes, Solar says you should be able to see the car encounter after death.

Who / how do I get in touch with a GM to help correct a mercenary issue...

I was out working on leveling up one of my 2 supermuties and left an encounter and he disappeared.
The super mutie was a rocket supermutie. He started at 340 hp but when he disappeared he had 394 hp (I think thats level 9)
I don't know if this helps but I believe his name was Colin.

I miss my supermutie :( This happened once before and he managed to stumble back to the base on his own... This time I waited and he never got back to the base.

Question:
Lockpicking cars after wipe changed or I'm too lucky?

I lockpicked buggy twice with only 25% lockpick, I think that guy at NCR mad on me, actually I just wanted to try... and... I lockpicked his car, I was happy 1st and though it's just good luck, but when I got encounter I failed lockpicking, then waiting for CD and succeed again, so I have success chance 2/3 with only 25% lockpick skill.
So parking cars in NCR = worst idea ever, because 1st level alt in bluesuit who's standing at NCR and don't know what to do may come to your car and.. steal it.

Go in your inventory, take the "goggles" mouse arrow, click on the Assault rifle, hold it and hover over the "unload ammo" button. Now take the "finger mouse arrow" take the ammo you want to load in and hover it over the assault rifle.

I have 6 agility, 7 intelligence and 8 perception. Just did it to 18 level and I can't take bonus rate of fire perk, even if I take one nuka cola (+1 to agility). Is that a bug or drugs really aren't helping when it's going about taking perks?

And second thing - i make a couple desert eagle exp magazine pistols but i can't sell'em. McRae and Harry in VC always telling me that 'your offer is not good enough', even if i'm giving a desert eagle (550$) instead of stuff worth even less (500$ and less). Is that a bug?

1. Drugs have never allowed you to help take perks.
2. Hmm, not sure about this, I think that they don't accept upgraded weapons with a break count of 1 and up, so technically your upgraded weapon should be upgraded from a fresh base weapon, but I could be wrong, and the devs just removed the ability to sell upgraded weapons to merchants...

Drugs only help for proffessions and quests... ie taking mentats for intelligence to get medic and charisma to get a quest (or lie succesfully to the quest in Boneyard in the library).

And my question now...

Does Jet still work with addiction or does it go away like in the rest of the drugs? The Wiki has not been changed and as I dont want to end up with an uncurable character I dont want to try it yet as the penalties for addiction are pretty harsh.

Also...

I found a cave (and died in it) with 3 Deathclaws...

Now that in itself is not an issue but the issue was they had 303 hp and kicked my ass real good as I was used to the Deathclaws in warehouse and around boneyard with their measly 50hp and the 250 xp they give. I checked the wiki and there a couple of Death Claws entries but none of them have 303 hp *the highest has 250*.

So what was this DeathClaws PK squad?

From what I have read here o forum, jet has 100% chance to make you addicted. Addiction is permanent and this -1 AP penalty too. -1AP is cumulative (so after you take few jets you end with 0 AP - reported bug and I have no idea if this has been fixed)

Deathclaws...
That is normal. Probably just some high-leveled ones (every critter in cave is high-leveled as far as I know). Those 3D big deathclaws are quite tought and fast (you can run - with 12AP min. ;D).
Or were they called "tought deatclaws"? Because that is even more deadly.

I think it's the same % like regular encounter.

What happens if you loose your car key
Well you don't need it really.. atleast 25% lockpick is enough to use your (or someone's) car. So even if you'll lose keys, don't worry, just use lockpick.

you sure about that? I saw a bunch of people complaining that cars aren't lockpickble anymore so if you lose the key that's it.

Atleast buggy is, I stole it in NCR with only 1st level and non tagged lockpick, and then lockpicked it again, and again, and again, yes I fail sometimes, but its rare. I don't know about other cars.

Not anymore. latest update makes you remove the lock after a successful lockpicking.

Btw. does Luck stat influences my Critical Table? I mean now how often I crit, but will more luck give me more chance for critical special effects and damage multipliers?

As far I know, your luck don't do anything for the effect of the crit on your ennemy, but target luck is used for test to determine effect of crit hit (for example, luck affect chance of being blinded, but only the luck of the target)

WTF? The same thing just happend again with Rangers vs some rats, as after they killed the rats, they killed me, why am I being killed for no reason?

I have question about proxy.
I want to connect throuhg proxy server. When I don't change anything in FOconfig.exe then in loading screen I see message
"Connecting to server"
"it was not possible to connect to the server"

When I set same proxy parameters as I have in my web browser (proxy adress, port, login and password)
I got message:
"Connecting to server"
"connect established, authentication.."
And after a while still nothing is really happening

I am still stuck on the first screen which loads when you turn the game on (th one with login and password).

Am I doing something wrong? I have a feeling that this proxy is completely fucked up but I am not sure.

On that note, I dont understand why my Rep with NCR is going down.  I am only level 2 hanging around Shady sands. I havent tried to steal, loot or anything else, havent attacked any NCR people, in fact I actually trade with them as much as I can.  But yet I see that my Rep with them went down to like -170 at one point, although now its at least up to -90 or so.

Also I am not a member of any faction,  I am just wondering whats going on, because I just started and maybe I am missing something, I dont want to get kicked out of shady sands and have no where else to go.

Buy one in Hub library, for about 850 caps. The Library is located in the Downtown market area, above the gun shop.

When you get the 1st level on a profession they give you a book for free (included in the 1.5k caps you pay for the profession I guess) so you dont have to buy it.

Also I suggest logging out OUTSIDE a city in the world map (not even in an encounter spot) as it take 3 minutes for your character to disappear and further more it even tells people you are logging by displaying your name with an off tag eg: The Mistress (off). It is the best time for a thief to have fun with you and rob you blind or even kill you.

Also things like books or loads of bullets and other expensive stuff (the 1.5k caps you need for the profession for example) you can keep in your left or right hand rather than backpack to avoid losing them from a thief.

When an NPC asks for money they take it off your hand as well, it doesnt need to be in inventory like when bartering. (usefull for using the bank, buying train tickets etc).

Ok, here is my final questions for a while:  I do have a tent, which I built up near NCR, but I recently joined a group with a base near Junk, and so I dont really want to hang around up near my Tent anymore.

Can I build another tent? Will it replace the old one? Is it possible?

Also, I don't want everyone to think that I am just lazy and asking you all questions without trying to find any of the answers for myself, I have asked these questions to several people in the game but no there seems to have any answers.

Try 2 squares north and 2 squares west from Vault 13.
But don't say that you find some evil players there, because you're not alone love moles.
Hunt them in RT, in bluesuit with anything that can do single aimed shots, run and shoot if there're more than 2 chasing you, when 2 or less left stand still and simply shoot thier eyes, if you have FA tagged, then it's even better, so you'll use FA CD all the time as additional XP.
Use mauser or smg, farm it from raiders or regulators, smg preferable, because regulators have more ammo, 2-3 minutes farming regulators = 1k 10mm ammo + some smgs.
You'll get from 2nd to 21st level with ready ammo and weapon in like 6 hours.

You need the right profession level (http://www.fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Profession:_Armorer) to craft armors, with exception of the leather jacket which requires some outdoorsman (think it's 40).

14mm and .223 pistol got it too, maybe some other.
It just divide your target's DT by 5 (when you score a bypass, DR ignored (so finesse don't count) and DT/5). Don't affect finesse. Like toughness give +2DT, it affect it by reducing the general DT.

Yes, i want to craft armor and get profession level 1. But is it possible to raise my repair skill just with the tool? So that i don't need to spend skill points?

Tool when hold in hand raises repair only for items repaired at that time. You can't get a profession by holding tool in your hand.

So TC cities with militia are basically broken because I can't even enter them without dying. I can uderstand being killed by a player but I don't even have a time to react when 50 NPCs attack me, jeeeeez.

No difference, except on Old Shovel, Swing costs one more AP, but still, no difference.

And since he didn't read the whole question, they also can only mine normal materials in NCR atm.  As far as guarded mines go.  Also should you take them to NCR as well as Gecko don't leave them alone too long, or at all.

WELL....  if you manage to find a "normal" not hq mineral deposit there then yes, i guess it is posibly for a slave to mine hq in BH but it will also mine, iron and mineral (normal).  so unless u have like 3+ slaves the risk isnt really worth the time consumed.

For realy good thieves yes its possible but rarely attempted.

My thief build has 67 carry weight and can steal 22 minerals or 19 ores in 1 attempt.
It does have the pickpocket perk and has 300 steal.

PE makes it easier to spot a thief stealing.
Still even when a thief failed, they might have taken something.

Well I once stuffed my slave with 200 minerals and 100 iron ore and some junk. ;D But I don't know what the maximum carry weight is. He was capable of walking but not running.
And it is really risky to travel like that. ;)

1. Me and 2 of my friends made 3 tents for all of us. My friends quit FO. Or at least they aren't logging in and I don't know if they are comming back. So I'm wonderring are those 2 tents that were made by them going to disappear in 4 weeks? Or will they remain because I'm using them quite often?

2. My char has 4 charisma I could lead 2 PC with me but I can only get 1 NPC merc due to CHA formula. What's the Charisma formula for leading PCs? Or I can lead as many as I want?

3. If my car gets 95% or 99% det. And If I have a low repair skill. Is there a chance to get the car unrepairable like other items?

4. I knolw that tents can't be foud, but can a base be found? If not then wat's the point in having guards at a base?

for PC it's  Charisma - 1

base can't be found ! guards are meant against followers and former base members you want to die in your base so that they won't see base anymore. (and for show off)

1st how do catch a slave and bramhin?
I understand that a slave should be unconscious and that a rope is required for both.
But I dont really understand what to do.

2nd At the bank I found a option at the bank:
Send to other account... or something like that.
What does it mean?
1: Does it mean I can wire money to a bank in another city.
or
2: Does it mean I can wire money to another person.
In both cases how does it work?

3rd Is there a way in wich I can use two accounts at the same time without needing a 2nd computer?

Ghouls are the ones that survived the radiation, that's why they are so weak. Yeah they are supposed to have more resistance to it but they still should die in Glow.

Children in Klamath entrance will have different dialogs (nothing quest related). "Slaves" encounters are hostile, no matter what (childkiller perk or not). Other than that, it does nothing.

I don't know for sure, but that ghoul using name "Generic Ghoul" and he got 75% Small Guns, but really you should try it ownself.

Edit: In irc i heard that generic ghoul can use two handed rifles and spears.

My reputation for NCR has become antipathy, but I can't remember doing anything bad. Well, except once I tried stealing from a mutant in the bar one time
 and dying immediately afterward. But I think the next time I was in town, I wasn't in antipathy. The only other thing I can think of that may lower my rep is that I accidentally stood in entrances to the brahmin pins for a while, but never long enough for a guard to attack.

I've just made a character recently and here are about all the other things I remember doing so far:

-Shoveling
-Doing the quests for picking up cigs and giving someone money the bartender chick owed
-Dying a couple times in random encounters >.<
-The only thing I killed so far was ONE radscorpion
-Shopping at the dwarf's gun shop

Those are the most important things to note that I've done I think, any small things I might have overlooked?

Okay, thanks :)  Just making sure it wasn't a bug or anything. I think that happened to me a couple times so I'll watch it when I'm opening the gates (that's when it usually happens to me)

As I know even 1 CH may share a tent with others, so party limit doesn't affect it.
So, the range of "Tag" is 5 hexes.
It means 92 hexes can be filled in the range within one person and 5 hexes range in all directions.
So I think a tent can be shared with 93 players.

Edit: Actually it's 10 hexes... so.. well I think all players which are online can have 1 shared tent.

when u are addicted u have 1- ap points, when u take jets ur stats go normal then add the affect of drug

i would really like to get jet addiction off

if there istn a way there shoudl be!!! thats just fucked up being addicted for ever.. gm should have been very explicit in changelog

one of the things this group lack is revealing information.. ive read everything on this forum and even still there are many things i have to do to learn to never do again.. well im fucked i guess but at least for the future label the danger of jet correctly please, thank you

Introduce Jet Andtidote with 10-20% success on use, made from many jets and tone of brahmin shit in special location only like New Reno Stables, where will be hostile-gangsters-NPCs shooting everyone on sight, so you need to get a party of friends, then PvE, and then deliver alot brahmin shit and jet to special workbrench and bring a doc who will make it.

BoS patrols, Enclave, SF caravan. SF caravan will have only LSW and non-BG weapons. BoS patrols will have 100% BG weapons, because they use only minis and bazookas.

If you do, then you're dual/mutli-logger! Because a guy who you wanted to use your account should be online. Of couse you can ask your friend to log in for him...

you can transfer cash between accounts if I'm not mistaken, all you need is to write down the acount number of the character in question and simply move cash across accounts...

Minimum ST requirement means that with this ST you will shoot without any penalty. If you don't have recommended ST for your weapon you will get a 20% penalty to your skill level for this kind of weapon. Example: your ST is 6, your Big Guns skill is 180%. Required ST for rocket launcher is 7, so you get a 20% penalty to your Big Guns skill. 180% - 20% = 160%.

For faction names when buying bases I simple mark name on wiki or thread, press CTRL-C then swap to Fonline and press CTRL-P to paste text into the "say" box.

Quick Pockets perk take less AP, if you change weapon from you pack or you wear armor in battle.

1) Take action boy.
2) Use Jet!
3) ~deleteself and make a build with 9 AP, or 7 AG and BRoF.

Getting annoyed by all the encounters I figured it be time to raise outdoorsman a bit. Was wondering by how much though.

Wiki says there's a max of 95% chance to avoid, lot of character builds I see on this forum have either 100% or 120%.

So what's the difference between 95%, 100% and 120%, besides giving a little more speed ofcourse?
Why bring it to 100% if 95% is already max encounter avoiding?
Is 120% really that noticable more faster than 100%?

The 95% dont mean the skillpoints, it means the chance to avoid every encounter. with the highest outdoorsman you have a chance of 95% to avoid encounters. If you have 100 points in outdoorsman, you will see coordinates of the worldmap squares you are.

Hi, I wanna become Vault City citizen. First I thought I'll do the quest but then I changed my mind and thought I'll get in through repair skill. I got it to 120% (as mentioned on the wiki) and ditched the citizenship quest. Now I talk to the guard, say the town needs my expertise but the guard says that there's nothing to do right now. Is there something I can do with this? I can't even take the quest now...

The youtube video you are referring to is the pre-wipe madness stuff. The game isn't usually like that. Chances are, a GM is not going to want to deal with the problems of players whining after they get "bored" with their skin after a couple days, due to lack of running and animations.

I have some questions about unarmed fight. I hope it is not too complex for this forum section.

- How does strength influence "weapon"(unarmed and power fist or rock) damage? (if you can say it in numbers)

- What is the correct formula for damage? I have found some formulas for guns but not for close combat.
 Maybe for example one for Haymaker and one for power fist. (without criticals, what about DT, DR modification)

- Does one-hander works for unarmed and "unarmed weapons"?

- Is it even possible (or worth) to use unarmed/melee fighter against critters in real-time?

Hmm.. i never tested it, but i think it only work SG and energy weapons that got one-handed.
But never can be sure.

Yes healing powder does, weak healing powder doesn't because it causes -1 perception. (they don't allow you to use that on other players because some people used jet on others...lol

1. You should get tent.
2. You can build tent in wasteland. you need 10 brahmin hides and you must go to empty "encounter" and use science skill to 10 brahmin hides. car is too expensive for you.
3. Search near of brahmin pens guy named "Dirty herbsman" and talk about i shoveled some shit... etc and you got money.
4. You can raise that timelimit in shop by raise Barter skill.

Well, I'm not so sure you'll like these answers, but here we go.
1 - The only way to prevent this is to not die.  Or go hunting with a buddy who can gather your shit if you die and he doesn't.

2 - http://www.fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Tent
    http://www.fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Car

3 - http://www.fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Shit_shoveling  (Make sure to equip the shovel, right click on it a few times, and do the 'use on' action, don't pick up the turds.  Then talk to the herdsman for your caps.)

4 - This is to prevent you from hogging the merchant, so other players can use it.  You should be quick anyway, due to thieves.  Use the filters at the bottom of the barter window when trading.  If you are still bothered by it, increase your barter skill.  It increases the time allotted to spend in trade, and I think it increases the normal chat window time a little bit too.

EDIT:  I saw that this was answered while I was typing mine, but I think mine is more informative so I still posted it.

you have to put before u die then when u die you go there and the stuff you left in your crate or on the ground will still be there ready for you to take. :)

Have another char with 95 outdoorsman and Ranger perk.

Is it merely placebo I can choose to avoid encounters more on the later char?

What happens when one is travelling with his mercenaries, a sudden fail and you get killed by friendly fire of your mercs? Is it possible to get at least the mercs back?  :'( They have killed the damn rats after finishing me off.

My gang mates get a lightning each time they pass that area although they can't enter it, it works just as a fake encounter. I don't get the lightning at all.

It seems like with any NPC faction you join the Unity will hate you.  Is there anyway to improve your reputation with the unity other than waiting 20 days for it to decrease in 200?

Kill slavers, its +10 per kill for most factions and they don't even get hostile. You can burst them from point blank to end the combat before they get a chance to fight back.
It will lower your rep with raiders but I don't know how much.

What exactly do you mean?  Like, where will GMs spawn reinforcements if they catch wind?  I mean, officially, no place is off limits, but guarded towns (especially VC and NCR) are difficult to attack and places like gunrunners have had troops spawned to help.  I think that's mostly because it's an exploitable area, with the bridges and things.

You have to wait until the guards have completely stopped looting, heading back into their positions. If they say "Leave this stuff!" to you, you better start running.  ;)

the wiki on banks looks fine to me, if you thought opening an account up in NCR and trying to access the money stored from say hub or sf then you should know now that they aren't linked and you need to open up an account at each respective bank you want to store money at.

Maximum level needed for avoiding 95% of all types of encounters is 180% Outdoorsman. For speed purposes, 300% would be the best, but anything over 180/181 is really unneeded unless the only thing you want is a "taxi" speed build.

There is no limit AFAIK. If you have CH1, you can take Mentats, buy a cow, buy a cart, take it to tent, repeat.

But locations do have limits.

What do you mean? Outdoorsman doesn't apply when you use cars (and caravan counts as car).

Most of them get banned for trolling, flaming or very aggressive behavior towards other people, or by breaking one of the other rules (http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=8.0) that we have on the forum.

It's only in terms of random encounter frequency. When you have 28 Outdoor and use a car, you might have a frequence of random encounters, which  a traveller with 100 Outdoor normally have.

So i would reduce random encounters by using the caravan, like with a car?

Perhaps the pieces in the corner of the Necropolis square do.

you can keep acquiring exp but you won't gain a level, perks and skillpoints past level 21.

Btw is there a skillcheck to joining the brotherhood of steel? i managed to join without having to fetch them anything  ;D.
I have 4 CH which i would have otherwise taken mentats and went to lost hills bunker to take the joining quest but now i don't have to.

Stop killing them on every encounter and looting grenades from thier cold bloody bodies? They have thier NPCs only in encounters, so there's no way to trade/quest, also I don't think killing some faction will boost reputation with them, so the only way is to wait and don't kill them.

You can go naked and use First Aid on them, hopefully being able to reach them before they kill you. It will give you 1-5 reputation points for each time you FA them. Then repeat process in next life/run away and repeat.

Edit: Oh, this would only work if they were already injured from fighting someone else. Do it with a friend that will hurt them first, or find a "_____ vs Hubologist" encounter.

Actually yes you can, if some high ranking member of the base adds you as a friend in the terminal database. Once it's the done, the next time you enter the base you will receive a message that looks like this : "You now know the way to this location". This way you get access to base without actually joining the faction !

You will lose location when you die in the base, so dont do anything stupid.

Chill out surf jeese, even in the questions thread?

Anyways, i don't recommend any of them to be honest, theres not once i don't encounter someone in those mines this wipe, I don't know what it is but i'm always in a fight for my life lol.  BUT, oddly enough, I recommend BH.  Simply because its a bigger mine/maze to lose someone in one and there seems to be "BIT" fewer people there...  but be prepared with a smg up in your other pocket.  ;D

You cannot call anything with any kind of danger safe in any way.  Hard to explain.  If you see somebody and they pull a knife and stab you and there is no one to save you like a gaurd, it cannot be safe.  Thus there is no safer mine, but there can be a "less dangerous" mine. :P

Safety is precautions taken by one or more people to ensure that if something goes wrong it is dealt with accordingly with as little damage from it as possible.

Like a lock on a door, just in case some murder or robber tries to break in.  Or the police.

lost hills you cant because when u go in that room to leave they shot you but i will go to the one in sf if there is one and will quit thanks. :)

Beware of the BoS gaurd btw, the SF gaurds will kill him but he might git ya before they do :[].

Nothing stopping you from using lost hills one, just go in empty and get out by replication. Not telling you to do it but just giving you the available options.

dude san fran one worked and have you ever tryed to leave via lost hills one the second u enter the faction computer room u get owned by gating laser by the two guards. thanks for telling me about sf one  :).

It is not capped at 300%. It also adds to "Ghost" perk too, giving max 390% sneak... that is, if it is working correctly. What I say is how it should work, even if it is bugged.

what? if you mean at night then you will see yourself glow but others won't unless you have roentgen rum or gamma gulp equiped in either item slot. other than that please elaborate...

He is not able to get location of your tent. The only way to make it that he can see it, is to build it again with your friend in the same encounter and he has to tag you before, then you can build the tent, that will be visible for every person, that is in that encounter with you and tagged you.

Not sure i understand what you are asking, what charisma does your character have?
Better yet why not check this (http://www.fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Followers). Depending on what charisma you have will be how many players and npcs you can have following you.

I didn't say it affected PE. I said it affected PE just for terms of finding sneakers. It doesn't add anything to your FoV. People say that the Stealth Boy is not working properly, which would just be a bug. Motion sensor might not be working either, but that is how it should work.

(Someone would need to compare using the Motion Sensor on someone that is sneaking and compare it at same distance/direction when the motion sensor is not being used.)

Per bullet,

Lets say I shoot someone with a 10mm smg, if all bullets hit, Bonus ranged damaged will cause an extra 20 damage.

If i shot with a avenger and all bullets hit, Bonus ranged damage adds an extra 80 damage.

But if you mean buy, yes, you can buy them at the end of the main street in Broken Hills. As of right now, the Rocket Launcher mercs are about 70k each.

Okay, so Psycho is : +15% DR, +1 Str, +1 En, -2 Pe

After 30 minutes, these stats will go back to what you had before you took the drug.
      -  Unless you get Addicted to the drug, which makes your Action Points go down by 1 for one real-life hour.

I don't really care about the 6 vs. 8 slots, but the fuel efficiency, the trunk size and deterioration rate I do care about.
As I already experienced it's easy to fill a Hummer's trunk, I guess I won't be getting a Highwayman.
Or at least not for serious usage, perhaps later for fun and FO2 nostalgia.

Depends on the terrain. Highwayman greatly loses speed at mountainy terrains, while Hummer still keeps its original speed (or loses some speed, not much).

as far as i know it doesnt matter. but if i were you i would make an account in Hub or SF, cause:

Redding is safe when PeaceKeepers are defending it (in theory, cause i dont belive that CS would let any bluesuit in)
Same in BH
NCR is full of reputation exploiters, suicide bombers and other kamikaze nutz ;p

I got problems with buying a old bunker base, i got money and 3 players following me and the wally is saying that i need all my members to be following me in my group otherwise they wont count as followers wtf is this some sort of bug?

When i got mine, I upgraded from a Depot.  So... if all else fails, buy a cave then send your leader to talk to him, and have the others stand guard.
Also, and this is likely your problem, when the seller says that thing, thats where you enter in the gang name.  It's likely that you are entering in a name thats taken.
