Stop killing them on every encounter and looting grenades from thier cold bloody bodies? They have thier NPCs only in encounters, so there's no way to trade/quest, also I don't think killing some faction will boost reputation with them, so the only way is to wait and don't kill them.

Actually i didn't killed them, just the mercenary and Press gang scum, but thanks for the answer.
I guess i was taking their loot. (No warning shouts, though)

You can go naked and use First Aid on them, hopefully being able to reach them before they kill you. It will give you 1-5 reputation points for each time you FA them. Then repeat process in next life/run away and repeat.

Edit: Oh, this would only work if they were already injured from fighting someone else. Do it with a friend that will hurt them first, or find a "_____ vs Hubologist" encounter.

It always been in perk list.
I cannot know, if devs changed something more (or it just bug)

Few different lockers sorted by weapon "classes" contain grenades, misc. items,  and their respective weapons/ammo from tier 2-3.
