Is there any way to simply let someone drug you without forcing the "somebody tried to drug you with something!" notice? I'm down with -4 HP and my buddy has weak healing powders, which of course has a -1 Perception effect as well so it counts as a bad drug.

There is dialoge in gunrunners at ralph to upgrade weapons, will this work in future? Or is it working when i got bigger reputation with them?

never saw 30k, its just to surpass other buyers in order to get a seller.

I know the merchant pricing lol, im talking about ptp.  the prices are rising considerably.

There is one buying ba for 20k each.

EMP is different from Electric, because it's totally other damage type.
Pulse do electric.
As I know everything except for robots is immune to EMP.
Mariposa? Or there're no robots anymore?

that occurs when you have high enough outdoorsman. dont know the exact number though.

Yes, without awareness it says wastelander.  With awareness, it will say the person's name in red.  Its got nothing to do with outdoorsman.

when u lockpick it you can drive without key, but that means that if u park in town some guy will just hop in it and drive away..

I already tried that, even with the key in hand he'll ask "where is the key? (meanie words)" as if the yellow key-shaped thingy your waving in his face doesn't exist  ;D.

That' the way I got: 2 scouts, 1 highwayman, 3 caravans , 1 buggy and 1 hummer. And I don't play a lot with my lockpicker :)

I  thought they changed that.  Are cars still encounter-able for 10 minutes after parking them?  I thought now you couldn't encounter them at all, unless the owner was there with it.

Ok sorry if i havent read all the tread and making duble post but i need to ask you about Gatling laser statistics.

Its really shit wepon if your target have Metal Armor or CA,BA,CAII.
So why dont you remove it from game like you did with Gauss Rifle, Polse Rifle, etc.
Ill tell you all Gatling laser's history in fallout 1. Its built specially versuss Mutants.
Remember the Church in Fallout 1? Wher the mutant guards the underground enteranse?
Metal armor and the other powerfull armors got high energy ressistanse becose of that part of story,
just that player whas able to kill that mutant, got the Gatling and kicked theyr badasses.
Maybe you just remove that wepon or change some of its states, Like making its plasm damage tipe?
Or make it veary destructive like one burst damages 30% or 20% of targets Armor wich is preatty good.

So waithing for your response.

I remember a gangmate of mine bringing 2 of those empty bottles to the base pre-wipe.  Not sure where it was from though.

highwayman trunk should hold ~250 kg , is second fastest vehicle. Just a bit slower than the buggy

It's faaaar slower than buggy (and even hummer) in all mountains zone, and a bit slower in medium zone. Maybe a bit faster on plains.

Can somebody explain me everything about encounting players? How does it works, what is a chance of encountering a player at the same place on world map (coz i tried with my friend in the same location and we cant encounter randomly) etc?

you need to have outdoorsman (with ~150% i already found some players..)  for this Vandal, you walk on world map and then it says for example: Your Encounter; Robbers, White_Eagle   if you are strong and want pvp you can enter and try to kill him... probably you meet him because he leveling  up or he just fail in encounter and he runing out.. if you think you can't do it in real time choose TB.

I got that dude, but i tried to encouter my friend at the same point and nothing happens... its like the chance is really really low, i have about 100% outdoorsman but it should be better chance of finding other players coz i feel like im playing alone on the server

You encountered:  Hidden Bunker (or old bunker, not sure, tis been forever, not a single special enc this era)




EDIT:  How long does it take for shops to restock?  Are the all stocks different timers?  etc questions related to shop stocking?

I know that the hp is randomized a bit, i believe the stats are also considering some when they level up get more hp than others (even if its the same type) which to me shows a difference of endurance, as to if its an aimed shot or not it depends they do some aimed shot but in my experience a lot more regular shots.

you can send caps to another account, but it must be bank acc in same city (you cant send casp from NCR to Hub)

Is it also possible to transfer the money to a secondary account, then Delete the original and make a new one with the same username? I wanted to keep the Name Kyon in game as my Main

Well, if you delete the primary (first) account then I think that everything belonging to him will be destroyed, yes the username too. So you can just make a new one with the username of the recently deleted character. The bankaccount that you create with that character will be completely new so you can just send money to him again.

Thats my take on it at least.

Throwing range for any weapon equal to ST*3, but it can't go higher than weapon's max range.
So throwing knife has 16 range.
16/3=5 and 1/3.
This means with 5 ST you'll throw it on 15 hexes and with 6 ST on 16 hexes. Having 7, 8, 9 and 10 ST won't make any change.

This bug has been around and typically occurs when you try to barter 2 or more times placing objects to trade but leaving the timer to run out. What you should do to fix this is exit both game and launcher.

What will happen, if you set dynamite on more than log out time (for example 6 minutes), leave it in your inventory and then log off?

It explode at the second you relog. Btw, timer is in IG minutes.

Hmm, pre-wipe I had lots dynamites on me, put them on different time, so my body would continue explode later, had demo expert perk, so time was exact.
I can remember put 10 minutes last dynamite, and it exploded in real life 10 minutes, atleast not in 10/20=0.5=30 seconds. Because I waited long time with my fast relogged main character to see explosion, it was much more than 30 seconds... and more than 1 minute and more than 5 minutes, I'm sure.

Edit: Also 5 seconds timer doesn't expire in 5/20=0.25 seconds...

1) How much luck affects combat and are there perks that luck is mandatory for combat ?
2) If my charisma would be lower than 3 could I trade with npcs in towns ?
3) How much professions you can learn at a time ?
4) Is science + repair good compared to first aid + doctor or any other variation of skills for crafting purposes ?
5) What professions are the most useful as a science+repair char based on your opinion ?
6) Is that a good choice to start a new character only by the fact i don't want to spend perks to rise special atributes to learn profesions at high levels ?
Because some profesions need 7 str and 7 agility for level 3 professions like small guns and armorer....i have only 6 str and 6 agility.
8) Could someone tell me the ideal character for science+repair + small guns character based on opinion ?
9) How can i share a tent with my friend ?
10) Am i dumb ?

1) luck 6 = better perks for combat
2) with ch1 u can trade only in Gecko (ghouls dont care about ch)
3) four levels (3lvl smal guns + 1 lvl doctor)
4) FA doc - usefull in combat.  science, rep for crafting
5) what you need you make
6) Use some drugs to add special (buffout for strengh, nuka cola for agility)
7/8      dont know

9) only if other player is with you when you creating tent
10) time will show

There are many more traders than that. See: Merchants (http://www.fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Merchants), and look at Requires column.

6) Yeah, you can use drugs to get professions. But it's best to just make a crafting alt (another character) for each profession, as the skills you need take away from your combat potential, which is the main part of 2238.

If you'r both idolized and start a fight guards won't defend you because the attacking person is idolized to.

EDIT: Fu**ing idol killers , im writing every nick down who has ever stolen from me or attacked me in a town , the last thing they will see is a H&K Claws in the face.

also vainmortal, you should use something more... fonlinetistic, something like a minigun, a rockinglauncher or a AK-112 expmag. you know most good weapons in other fallouts are useless here, also you wont kill every of your enemies, because maybe the 95% of the players registrered are bad people, thats the reason for people like me, who kill everything on sight, (after of a little question), because is hard to know if is a pk or not, its hard to take vendetta here, deadh is too surrealistic

also its posible to put animated .gif in avatar? i put one and it not works

I made a clean reinstall of the Windows today and formated entire Hard Disk and now when I try to use the Launcher I get this.

It depends on many things... with 300% Repair, there are some weapons that are one break-count away from being Beyond Repair, and that really helps. But for things that are just "Little Broken" 200% is usually sufficient for maximum chance of success.

Science... it's pretty much useless since you can't get High Quality materials, but the more you have, the more materials you can get. So.. 300% again would be the max.

With Small Guns, it would be mostly dependent on your Perception. If you are using Scoped or Long Range weapons like a Scoped Hunting Rifle or Sniper Rifle, then it is even more dependent on your Perception. he means you cant get high quality material out of the weapon despite skill level and the higher your skill you may be able to extract more parts junk or otherwise.

gather 4 hq ore, now you will have a 27minute timer and have to wait till it says 20min to gather again. ;D

Most likely for Stonewall perk, or for jet (so you'll have 6-2=4 ST). But really SG don't need 6 ST.

Well i gathered information and decided to play with a good overall character that isn't useless in a firefight and can provide himself with guns and ammo and some low armor,  pretty much balanced you could say that. I just wanted to know other people opinion , because i want to know what difficulties my character may face during the long gameplay(this will be my first 21lvl character actually found this game 5 days ago).

Sure a BG crafter is a worthy thing, but Avenger Miniguns you can loot from Enclave, so no real need to craft them.
S Big Gun crafter prof.1 can craft flamer, prof. 2 can craft Improved flamer, and prof.3 can craft both flamers aswell.
To get the BG prof. 3 you need 6 strength (can be boosted with buffout) and 7 agility (can be boosted with nuka cola).

Where can i find A still then ? the closest city to ncr that has a still is junktown and the direction for the still is a mystery can't find a still.

In Junktown, there is a still near the top of the map, inside the gates.
wiki material i ran all the city every house couldnt find it. any way does ncr have one ? at least wiki says the city doesnt have....

never mind found a still in the hub

they taged you and follow you to tent they dont find it per say after they kill you and take what they want they dont see it any more . no one can find your tent but you and if you make it with other people them to.

EDIT: Vandal they will be able to shoot , but if their str drops below the requirement of the weapon str they will be just less accurate.

Seems your mercs are fine so don't worry about them , get some radaway and be happy :)

Does fast shoot work with big guns ? Because i have fast shoot and a flamer in the hands and its still 7 ap to burst?

Actually i just went one more time to glow with mercs and they died after 2 3 mins but i used radx on them x2 times per each merc so they should have 95% resistance and they just died after 2 mins... this is so lame and crap

You got how the perk work, but it's technically impossible to hit 18 out of 30 bullets with a minigun. Max bullets you can hit on your primary target is 10.

Well, rectificaion: if you are at point blank (1hex of your target) you can hit the 30 bullets (with very big IRL luck ;p) , if not max is 10.

I'll try it out with my bg burster 300% and x2 BRD in about 10-15 hexes.

Don't forget the ammo mod in your calculation anyway. For the avenger the max if not point blank is 14

Because i want to play something like this
2xaction boy
1xbonus ranged damage
bonus rate of fire
2xlifegiver
awareness

Need only cigs and nuka cola = 12 AP 2x bursts with any big weapon :)

Is it okay to play without toughness or stonewall perks ? Or would it be to extreme(Fragile) on 200~ hps in 21 lvl ?

Because i want to play something like this
2xaction boy
1xbonus ranged damage
bonus rate of fire
2xlifegiver
awareness

Need only cigs and nuka cola = 12 AP 2x bursts with any big weapon :)
if you are playing a bger i wouls say yes because everyone trys to kill the bger first most of the time because of stonewall (dont get knocked down by snipers as much)
and toughess (may not seem like big bonus but still very good) the bger can take those hits and get healed and not die.
my choice for you would be no awareness and drop the action boys and take jet insede it`s easy to get and no wasted perks on action boys. take toughness times 2 and stone wall and you will have a 2 times burster tank.

I can't drop awareness anymore will not be perfect but still awareness is good for tactical play( Especially in turned based ).

Something wonderful came in to my mind reading your post , now thats why i like to discuss.

Now here this if i take toughness 2x i have to use jet to get those two extra AP , BUT jet drops damage resistance by 15% ( destroys toughness bonus and goes into minus ) + jet gets you addicted + jet causes my str to drop by 2 ( forces me to pick up weapon handling or another drug buffout or psycho(witch lowers perception)) ,

If wiki is right on what jet does then action boy.... no drugs needed + no addiction + doesn't force you to pick up another drug or perk to hold your weapon + your damage res doesn't go into minus , but dont have stonewall(thats kind of bad) or 2x bonus ranged damage(only 1x)

But in both ways my damage res is nullified so maybe il not be a tank :)

Conclusion Jet sucks (or not) still kind of blurry whats better , maybe this will be useful to someone.

The 1000 XP Deathclaws can be found in random caves. It doesn't matter which cave, it's a random chance it will have one, but cave encounters usually can be found in moutain-type areas.

But, Centaurs vs Floaters are the best kind of encounter for leveling fast for bursting weapons. There is a good place East (-->) of Adytum, and in various places in Great Basin (desert area ranging from south of Redding to West of Lost Hills Bunker).

Cars you have just recently, since the last update, put in random-encounter map should be "safe" - as it was pre-update. (Of course, players can still rarely encounter your car, for the 10-15 minute duration, whatever it is)

this may have been answered already but i am having trouble making my first tent.

i go to a random encounter zone that has nothing except maybe a weed or 2. i put the brahmin hides down and use my science on them and it says that i don't have enough, but i have ten and my science skill is 60 so what did i do wrong?

with Laser Pistol:

Objective: Mole Rat 35HP
-112% EW
-8 Perception
-Range 20

Formula: (weapon skill)+([Per-2]*8%)-(4*Range)
(112%)+([8-2]/*8]-(4*20)
112+48-80=80
80% chance to hit, tough it shows 72% in pant.
also Molerat have 6AC, but it means 74% and i think it dont be add in pant indicator

line of sight is free what i do wrong? or wikia is wrong?

Probably critters were changed, may be molerats became more evil and now have 8 AG so 8 AC, so you have on 2% less than it should be. I can't remember how many hexes they are walking, because fighting them in TB was session ago, so can't remember how much AP they have.
It's easy to check. Just go into TB, and check %to hit with bare hands, if you have not high %unarmed. Then just see difference of %to hit and %skill, and you'll see thier AC.
Or, you can watch how many hexes they walk in TB and see thier AP, so you'll know ~number of AG +/- 1.
After that, when you'll see that they have not 8 AC, you may say that formula is wrong and it'll be a bug!


Edit:
Tested, molerat has 6 AC.
Then formula isn't right, or you have on 2% more skill.
Or there's something else that not mentioned in formula that deduct 2%.

Well.. it's tested long time ago, and it works normally. You really have -60% to hit in the eyes, -40% in the head, same -30% to arms/groind and -20% to legs.
Btw, someone should modify wiki and write that unarmed/melee aimed penalties are halved.*

*Or not... can't remember if it's in FOnline too, atleast it was in F1/2.

now server is off, so i test it later. also the Fonline Character Creator from Opera shows diferent Crit Chances...

but the Formula for Chance to Hit still WRONG

About critical actually it's (60%+4*LK)/100*On that critical chance shown on wiki+Critical chance in character sheet.

Hi,

 I've read the article about game masters and their role in the wiki (http://www.fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Game_Masters), but despite the many detailed information found here and there I would like to ask this question: What are the instruments of a GM to make the game experience rich?

For example: could a GM take up the form of a simple NPC (no name tag which would expose the GM to the players) and walk into a town with a foolish story? Lets say... Im a pretty slave gal' called Bonnie and Mordino's men are after me to take me' life... HELEELELEPEPPP! Then an NPC from the Mordino family appears on the scene and dialog continues... players can help either side without penalties like being shot by guarded town's guards or so...

Or NPC trader (a GM) wanders into another player's random encounter and offers the player a nearly brand new car (wreck) for just 1000 caps...

Or a sorry ass ghoul toddles into town and starts to molestate a town guard... just to bring some change to the game experience. Many months ago I've seen a case when super muties attacked NCR. Did the wastes got much safer now or what happened?

Or a postman wanders into town from the wastes saying that he's speed buggy ran out of gas while he wanted to deliver a holodisk to San Fran... and he asks a player if he or she could escort the postman to san fran for a small reward or something...

Or a gangster wanders into town half dead and asks for a drop of water not to die from thirst. Players can decide if they help the grunt or let him die in vain. A social dilemma to be good or evil is always good to have in role playing wastes...

Really... there are endless possibilities if GMs has the proper tools and instruments in the game to do such things... so again, my question is, what are the GMs really capable of in the game?

No offense to anyone... I'm just curious as I found nothing about this topic. Only a forum topic where the question was not answered and GMs got pissed up.

Events, that's my part :P

Scenarios as you describe them happen really often; as far as I know every GM does set up some little scenes like this from time to time. They have the tools to make it possible.

However, most of the time some players ruin it.

These examples are all taken of my (and others' I suppose) experience as Game Master. Most often, when you try to do something similar to the situations you describes, players react in this way. It happened to me dozens of time when I tried to set up some nice little stories.
Of course, sometimes it goes really smooth, and both you and the players are happy. But that's yet too much rare.

When I had ~90% EW without MC perks yet, I was killing poor critters with critical hits in torso too with 1 shot from laser pistol, but it wasn't every 3rd, it was like 1 of 4 shots not critical, and it lasted for one day, some guy also posted in the same day that all hostile NPCs always crit'ing him in encounters in torso with pistols so he's dying almost instantly. But looks like it was simply an odd day, because dev checked crits, said everything is ok and then closed that thread.

It works. I haven't tested it thoroughly though.
It only works on items which the merchant has no interest in, like drugs with Sha Enin.
It will also work on traders like FLC people and the ones you can rent a hotel room from.
Best stuff is available at traders with fixed prices, so I wouldn't put points in the skill or create a high charisma alt for it.

i believe a small red circle indicates a distress signal and i wouldnt advise visiting if you were on radio channel 0.

For some reason I am at The Hub losing rep and getting "you have caused trouble and will no longer be defended by guards" message. I have no clue what is causing this because I am not attacking anyone, trying to pickpocket, or pick locks. Does using sneak somehow cause this?

That really causes rep loss and loss of guarding? How long do you have to block before you start losing rep and guarding? There's no way I was blocking for more than a second or two because I move as soon as I see the message(s). Is the loss of guarding permanent or just temporary?

No, it'll save breaking counts, price will be low and it'll deteriorate faster, even if description will say 0% det and without repairs.

Also don't be surprised if you upgrade and try to sell it straight away, the vendor might show you the full price but you wont be able to sell it (haven't tried this in a while so it might have been fixed).

There should be a dialogue option in which he tells you the price of each vehicle to which you then select the appropriate vehicle with the amount of caps that he has told you it is currently worth.

I have Assault rifle (http://www.fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Assault_rifle) with AP 4 for Single Shot and AP 6 for Burst, with is the same value for Burst as without this Trait. i think you do, at least when you lose, the % to hit is a little lower, but it changes in much different values than for ranged weapons. And if you have 1 pe and you get blinded, its same, you do get like -10-30% to hit but at least i still have 95% all the time :>

There're no % from perception, with my unarmed skill I could say players' AG by checking %to hit and it was right number and that character had 6 PE and had +0% to hit with this PE, I don't think 10 or 1 PE will give something else but +0% again...

Blinding affects all to hit, it gives -20% to hit base and -16% per hex between you and target instead of 4%. Melee/Unarmed ignores all range, even spear on 2nd hex has the same %to hit as at 1st hex, but -20% still applies.

Many people do that, but there is still risk involved : Once you park in the wasteland, wastelanders who travel on the same square have a chance to encounter it for around 10 mins (no official input on the exact time, but experience tells us its around 10 min or less); So if they find your key, they can take your car and leave. After 10 mins, the car map is basically a tent :)

Put your car 1 square away from the location you want to visit and you'll be fine. The most dangerous place i think is the corners of city maps.

A great thing to have is some parking tents at several spots on the map, for example near your most
travelled cities. With some gangmates and enough hides u guys can have a save parking lot everywhere.

Many people do that, but there is still risk involved : Once you park in the wasteland, wastelanders who travel on the same square have a chance to encounter it for around 10 mins (no official input on the exact time, but experience tells us its around 10 min or less); So if they find your key, they can take your car and leave. After 10 mins, the car map is basically a tent :)

Keep in mind also, that if you let the car stay for a week, it will disappear.

When I try to type the ~deleteself command and the password my char doesen't delete and I waited 1 week.Yes I get the message that says that after I log off it will be deleted.Any GM can help me delete my characters?

Were you perhaps standing on a map where you can't logout (like Hinkley). Try again on the WM or in some town. If not, server restart might have helped.

I've got two character with PE 7. One didn't even once appear close to enemies, and that character is alraedy level 21. The other has appeared 2 times in a row very close to the enemies, as if it had PE 1, but it had 7.

Actually you can appear in 1 hex infront of evil NCR army or mad marauders or annoying ghouls or suicidal bazooka mutants even with 10 PE, just bad encounter map placements, I think devs will fix it after some time.

I think some of maps ignores your PE at all, some not, atleast that's what I saw someone posted on forum somewhere long time ago.

i note some time ago that if you find a encounter with 2 or more enemies (like robers and robbers or fire geckos,centaurs and aliens) in certain maps you will respawn in the middle of one group of enemies,no matter your perception.
also i see that you dont respawn far of your enemies with high per, only far of the CENTER so you can be unluky and respawn in the middle of some group of critters with the same per, but maybe im wrong with this last one.

Mentats can do a miracle and increase your CH. That's why if you're no merc-leader or taxi, you should have 1 CH and not more, or else it'll be a waste.

1) You can pick up knives back, but if there're some NPCs on encounter, they're looting dead bodies of other NPCs including everything on hex of that body, so if you have your knife(/ves) on that hex, NPCs will loot it.
2) Yes, Heave Ho adds 2 ST for range, 3+2=5, 5*3=15, so you'll throw items up to 15 hexes.

x2 Action boy = 2 perk slots.
Jet = 0 perk slots, but reduces ST on 2.
Buffout = pain in ass.
Psycho = +1 ST, so only -1 ST from Jet.
That would look like a waste, but it'll be less waste to take x2 Heave Ho perks, 1 instead of Action boy, and second Action boy simply remove and take other perk. This way you may have:
S1 P6 E8 C1 I6 A9 L10   (-2 ST, +2 EN from your build).
1 ST +x2 Heave Ho = 5 ST for throwing, but you'll have -2 ST for weapon check = -40% to hit.
If you'll leave SPECIAL the same, you'll have only -20% to hit under Psycho (-2+1=-1 ST; 3-1=2 ST), but then nothing will be changed with perk slots and build will require Jet. Damned throwing requires too much perks, if your ST isn't high already, it means throwing+Jet isn't reasonable, if only you aren't going to spent more skill points on Throwing skill to negate ST lack penalty for weapon handling, because taking this perk is a waste, because it won't function on max, because you need only on 2 ST more, but also it'll work like +40% to hit perk.
If you have opportunity to become buffout-junkie, then it's of couse easier to make build:
S2 P6 E6 C1 I6 A10 L10
under Jet+Nuka+Psycho+Cigs+Buffout:
S3 P5 E9 C1 I6 A10 L10
Saves 2 perk slots! But requires this drug cocktail. But you can take 2nd LG or x2 MC or anything else.
You can always get drugs in this game in future, but you can't get perks in future. So reasonable always will be druggy build.

thx to you a lot. But it's too hard to start play such chars without drugs, and i dont have a faction or friends which can give it to me. Also i dont like 100500 another chars to supply this one with resourses, i like to play only using 1 account. Is it real to lvlup this build without help, and will it be better in pVp than my HtH build?

Then use your build in your post here, nuka and cigs isn't a problem, you'll need to get Psycho somehow, btw if you're really plan to use Psycho, then take 2 ST instead of 3, because Psycho will give you +1 ST. In PvP of couse throwers will be better than unarmed.

Well, last time I played for SG.. was long time ago, prolly they fixed alot encounters, but you could easy obtain alot smgs and 10mm ammo near Boneyard by encountering Regulators, who has low HP, usually dying from 1-2 eye shots or 1 smg burst and got 1 smg and ~100 10mm ammo on them, so even if you're really bad shooter, you can burst them and lose 10 ammo and earn ~100 +smg.
Throwing knives = loot from Yakuzas near New Reno, but if you're 1st level bluesuiter with low combat skills, they will kill you... ^_^ you need to get some lvls 1st.

Edit:
From other topic I see that you have 17th level HtH, use him to get throwing knives from Yakuza by punching thier eyes to death, you can even try to do the same with Regulators.
Then go with your newly created character somewhere in low visitable unguarded/poorly guarded place, wait, relog on your HtH back, go there too, drop items behind some barrel or wall or other object, leave, wait, relog on new char and pick up knives/smgs/whatever, also earn 10 hides with your HtH and drop hides there too, so you'll stash all items in newly created tent.

Strange, last time I killed them (few monthes after this wipe, can't remember, long time ago) it was 80-120 ammo, yes sometimes low, but not often. They also have radios, which you can sell to 1 CH trader at Adytum so Boneyard is powerbuild-haven. ;p

What type of ammo do you need? There're alot ways how to loot it, no need to use boring crafting.

Edit:
Bluesuit, 244 HP, deteriorated 10mm SMG, Real-Time, berserker run in point blank to nearest NPC and burst, repeat it untill noone will be on encounter, then loot. If you're lucky enough on crits, you can even solo muties, but if you won't kill minigun mutie with 1 burst at begin, he'll kill you ^_^ or get encounter muties vs something and burst winners while they're fighting with other team, or you can even try to do things in TB, but TB is long and boring and requires TB build.

I had hybrid sniper/burster build at begin of this session, but I liked only burster part of this build, because its funnier, was PvPing in Hinkley, just hold room in which your team is, if someone rushes in, he'll probably die on crit burst instantly, if your team shoots someone in other room and they shooting back, run in and burst nearest, if there're too many people, run back after, or else continue untill they are all dead, etc. SG bursters are fun in Hinkley. I suggest to make 21% or 16% crit build with x2 BRD one-hander based on p90 and 10mm smg, you may also try to use AR without one-hander, but p90 better. AR is an excellent weapon for hybrid builds, but anyway with a time you'll choose only one part, the only good thing in hybrid, is to scare snipers by rushing them with p90 and do hit-and-run from minigunner shooting his eyes, but later I chosen to always burst, even vs miniguners, we just run to each other and trying to be hit not on 1st hex and then fast step to him and burst, SG bursters are also good in... guarded towns, because they're always know how to have fun there.
So SG-burster = fun, easy to obtain weapon and ammo, good in Hinkley, because p90 > mini, and enemy snipers will always think bad about you after some games with the same people and try to kill you 1st when see and start to panic and run away if they know that you're somewhere near.

p90 > AR in bursting, but AR > p90 in economic way, it's easier to obtain AR. Also AR was excellent weapon with Idolized NCR, where you could sit in bushes and shoot and noone would see you, I don't know where it can be used now, so I think it's better to make one-hander burster with 12 AP for 3 bursts with p90/10mm smg, than 10 AP for 2 bursts with AR. Also you'll have no ST check penalty with 1 ST + WH. Make Jet-Nuka-(Cig-Pscyho optional) build, will have 244 HP, 3 bursts.

if only you're planning to get doc3 prof so you can even supply yourself with Psycho, but then, I think, you can also use Buffout, because you may craft it yourself, then you can decrease IN to 7 (you need 9 IN for doc3 prof, 7+mentats=9), then you can even live on mentats and talk to all NPCs! Because you'll craft it yourself with your main and only character.
Making 7 IN, you can get 10 AG, with Buffout+Jet+Psycho it'll turn into 2 ST and you'll have -40% to hit (One Hander trait will negate -20%), if you won't take WH perk, so +1 perk slot and -20% to hit.
This way you'll be a crafter who will have 244 hp, do 3 bursts in a row with one perk left to take, of couse it's More Critical, to double critical chance from 6% to 11%.
Or you can use your build, but 8 IN... don't know.

Tag outdoorsman if only you have SS, also 231 SG without doing aimed shots is... strange, I don't think you need so much.
About ToHit%:
Btw, I don't know if it was said somewhere, and how much time it was like that, but I noticed in only yesterday: 1st 4 hexes counted as 1 and you have the same % to hit as in point blank, like in Fallout Tactics and may be Fallout1/2, can't remember.

So, One-Hander = ST lack, so ignore both.
P90C = (PE-2)*8 = 4*8 = +32% to hit with you PE.
Max bursting range is 25 hexes, so 25-4=21. 21*4 = -84% to hit.
BA = +20 AC, 10 AG = +10 AC = -30% to hit, -35% if target is CAmk2.
Always 95% to hit = -95%.
32-84-35-95 = -182% to hit with 0% SG skill, so you need to have 182% SG skill and you'll have 95% to hit uncalled shot on 25 hexes to target in CAmk2 and 10 AG.
231% SG is too much, make it if only you're going to do aimed shots, but with 6 LK and with no Better Criticals perk it's not so good idea.
Also outdoorsman sux, it won't help you in combat.

Edit:
Jet kills CH, everytime when you'll be "flying" you won't be able to move on WM with merc/dog so he'll be stuck to one location.
You can make 150% FA and 110% Doc and get Doc3 prof and craft yourself superstims, buffout, mentats and psycho, so high IN can be used if you don't know where to put those points, or simply put them into PE.

Unless you get the choice by have a successfull outdoorsman role, no, there is no way to switch up the combat modes ingame.

You already have 2 NPC followers (or 3 if you have Magnetic Personality) somewhere. That's the max number of followers you can have with 5 Charisma.

If you lost one of your NPC followers, get all of the followers you currently have in one map, and use  " ~disbandparty away_team ". That will get rid of any NPC followers not on the same map as you.

Edit: Or, as Lexx said, you have 3 intelligence or less.

Should fix that very nicely....  I used to have 400-600 ping daily (Which is basically lag, the higher it goes) and now I have only 200-300.  It fixs many basic registry errors... well theres no point in listing it all because it has everything and its free.  Although there is an "upgrade" version(Which you have to pay for), the free version works perfectly well.  There have also been reviews and videos for it you may want to check out if your skeptical.

 :P Oh well, now that's a bit lulzy. The NPC didn't understood what the PC was referring to, maybe words were lacking, maybe words directed toward the dogs, instead.

Go into FOconfig2238.exe and check "Always run"

Or, always press Shift every time you run.

Double click hasn't worked since they installed always run fix.

I joined bos and am currently being shot up by the ncr. Searching told me that the wiki is outdated and changes were made to cut down on idolized abuse, but if someone could point me to where i can ind what those changes actually were thatd be great.

Aslo whilst im here, my first charcater kept suffering fom total level loss on logoff. Having spent days dragging my level 4 behind from hub to broken hillls to get some hq components just to find i lost my levels and profession to use said components was pretty demoralising. I made a new character who seems to be free from the logoff curse, is it possible to transfer the ore etc from one acc to the other or will that result in a banhammer to the face?

Wiki is outdated on that part because the rep was lowered to make it so people couldn't become Idolized in NCR. I think the drop is -400. Everything else hasn't change though, I don't think. NCR will stop shooting you once your rep goes back to -200 in a few days.

You can transfer your items as long as you aren't on both of your charcters at the same time. Hide your stuff somewhere very good behind a wall or something, and then switch to your other character to pick it up. Best way if you lone.

NCR will stop shooting you once your rep goes back to -200 in a few days.

It is usually at -299 they stop shooting you but if left alone rep will go up to -200 (or down if it sounds better to you)

For crafted guns which weren't repaired to many times 150% should enough.
But guns from encounters have random number of repairs already and so are harder to fix.

Nope, whatever you had is lost. Welcome to the wasteland.

I suppose the only chance of you stumbling on it is if somebody else is in the encounter still and you manage to enter it in time but that is a few ifs too many.

Just stand one hex from other player hold LMB on his character and choose the icon that you haven't seen before (two arrows with contrary directions and the $ between them). Watch out thieves, if you're going to trade in public area. It rather takes time to close that window and move, so the thief has much time to try steal something from you. You can also trade on the world map. In that case you should proceed the some actions on the name of the person (by default it is on the list of followers on the world map) that you want to trade with.

First off don't double post like you did above, secondly it depends on where you live in relation of where the server is and although universities usually have good internet connections the problem is so many people use it at the same time.

so i was planning on on leveling up energy weps and energy crafting, but is that useless against armor without being able to aim?
I thought maybe fast shot would work on burst but I guess not.
I guess fast shot is pisising me off and finnesse is pissing me off so now i'm wondering if I should go anywhere with this char or start over.
(any suggestions appreciated)

To me, finesse and fast shot sound like a contradiction. I would suggest a EW fast shot (plasma pistol maybe) but though effective, that would be only PvE, in Turn based. It would be a good first char to build up an economy, move around and have fun. With a good group you could probbly play RT with a plasma rifle, if you have high enough AP.

So maybe you can level this char you have up to the point where he can craft most energy weapons ? Then make a new one more effective for farming, and eventually have a look at pvp. Overall play as you feel like playing, man.

Indeed, the whole point of finesse is to cripple, with fast shot it's pretty terrible, massive lack of criticals and only aiming at a torso with finesse is truly fail.

it is pretty common to have different characters, they are named "alts". That offers a lot of possibilities of "interactions". You won't be banned for that, but it becomes illegal when you :

-fast relog (somehow bypass the 10 minutes wait between to relogs)

-dual log- multi log (using proxy, log in 2 or more characters at the same time)

that would be the "wipe". Every once in a while (a few months), the server is cleaned from every characters, every items etc. A fresh start needed to implement new features. They are sometimes announced.

The time between 2 wipes is an "era", and right now we are playing the longest era yet;

there is no set date to the next wipe.

if u see "aim for eyes" u have to use usual attacks , not aimed. If u shall use not aimed attacks then will work autoaim.

i guess u didn't got what i'm talking about.
Base chance to hit(in torso) - (the fine to attack any part of body)= your chance to hit in different part of body

for example - you have 95% for using a not-aimed attack (no aimed = attack in tors), and you want to attack in eyes. The fine from eye-attacks = 60%, so the basic chance to hit in eyes will be 35%/ But this nimber can be also 95%, if u have a high skill of your weapon.

Not without your "permission". Other players can tag you and follow you to the world map. Sometimes new players don't see that they are being followed, and when they go to their tent, their follower kills them.

A reason for mercs in tents/bases is to kill these people that try to follow you. And there is no other way for another player to stumble upon your tent unless you made it with them, which would be obvious if you did.

For now you can buy base only from scammers other players who will give you ownership to it for caps/items. As I know there will be no avaible names anymore until wipe.

Alt-menu option for dealing with bad Merc AI.

Click your merc while holding down (Left) Alt key, and you'll see Stop All Actions. Usually used to make your merc stop attacking something, make it stop mining, or stop being "busy".

thought i explained it  :-\ well here it is again. first you press alt and click your mouse on a spot that is neither player or npc, you should get a menu pop up. with this menu you can make your followers move to a the spot you opened the menu or there is "stop all actions" or "switch to manual/auto move". if you select stop all actions and they are still unresponsive then simply use a combination of move to and stop all actions.

1. it is possible you have key bidings - there is an option DEFAULT - just bind it and use it if you want to back to normal aim mode

2. No it won't diseapear unless somebody will kill / eat it :P

sweet so apparently if you join the brotherhood ncr hates you.  :-[ is there anyway to make them not hate you? (this is like counterintuitive to me, because the brotherhood base is inside ncr. anyboyd else think this doesn't make sense? i get, maybe, being suspicious, but kill-on-sight seems excessive no?)

As far as i know both male and female trappers can be lvld up to lvl 21. if they increase in skill i dont know.

For unarmed weapons, like Power Fists or Brass Knuckles, yes. But for just being "unarmed" without any weapon, no.

(Only unarmed weapons get the +20 boost)

i have a char who has bacis PE 9 and LUCK at 6 points, STR at 5 ( weapon req 5 st)
She also have ~230% in SG
and i have to admint that she almoust NEVER miss ( even when cosidering weapon with 50% det) - it is about 5/100 cases
she also has 3 x more critical perk.
She has about 70% to hit creitical in eyes - the chance to have critical when shoting at head is almoust same ( about 60-65% - from my observation)


Here is my another char:
She has 6 PE and LUCK at 10 points, STR at 2 + weapon handling ( weapon req 5 st)
She also have 237% in SG
and she often miss her target( even when considering new weapon with0-5% det) -  it is about 15/100 of shots
she also has 1 x more criticat perk and FINESSE trait
She has about 80% to hit critical in eyes - the chance to have critical when shoting at head much lower ( about 50% - from my observation)

And here is a question - why second char have much more misses than previous one?

PE 6. Try to take the "Sharpshooter" perk, it will help you a lot.

at first, to say such a s**t try to shoot at someone  ~1000 times to prove this =\ it's just a bad random, nothing more.
you will OFTEN miss with 237 sg skill  from the long distanses because of 6 pe, damn. Try to read the description of stats.
sniper cant be with 6 pe, because the fine from the long distance will be huge

Are you sure to have 95% tohit when aiming at eyes? I don't think you've got enough PE and skill for that. Which explain why you miss more often.

i am 100% sure... Situation is so funny that i have often "miss" when my enemy is unconscious on a grund and i am shoting to him without marking body part - just normal shot... often i have miss.. one time even 2 miss one by one.... (often i mean about  15% chance for it).


AND... i was playing both characters from 1 lvl to 21... i have given more than 1000 shots.. and see that what i had described.

i Had been wondering at sniper for pistols ( not rifles). And as we know 14mm pistol has 24 hexes range..... so i thought that 6 PE will be enough... Now it seems it is not enough when determining hit chance ( even if  i have 95% to hit in a final it is much lower number).

For the 14mm, I just calculated it: you need 254 skill to have 95% ToHit in eyes at 24 hex range with 6PE. You clearly don't have enough skill, it is why you miss more often.

Incase if you're a leader:
1) Kick all characters from there, but 1 player (whom you want to sell base)
2) Then leave gang, so leadership will go to most famous or whatever, if there will be only 1 player left, obviously he'll get that leadership.
3) Say to him to leave some mercs, because those kicked players will still see the base until they die inside this location.
4) Say to kicked players to come together and with mercs too, ALOOOT mercs to kill mercs of that guy whom you just sold that base.
5) Have alot fun at fighting in your old base!

For normal business ignore 4 and 5.

1) Let him invite you to his base.
2) Say to him to make you leader of his base and promise that you'll give him caps or whatever.
3) Then let him kick everyone there, or become leader somehow and kick everyone from there, so only you will be a member of this gang, everyone else kicked.
4a) Say "Oh noes, sorry, I have no caps, good bye, hahaha".
4b) Give him your caps and be sure your base is secure or has nothing to steal.

Of couse you can't be sure, it's like trade items without barter window, he drops item, you drop item and then you're running to items and picking it up, of couse you can bluff your partner there by droping 1 cap and he may bluff you by droping something you don't need, so it's just you trust base seller or not.

They must be killed in the actual base. That's why mercs are great for guarding a base.

Ok, so the seller kicks everyone from the base / faction, makes me only member and kicks himself, effectively making me the leader.

But everyone who just got kicked can still see the location of the base, and must physically die on the map for it to be removed from their worldmap?

Yes, they must physically die on the base map. But it isn't that hard if you just make a merc alt and put 4 or 5 mercs down to guard. The more mercs, the better protected.

(Set them to kill non-members)

If you don't have enough money you can collect ghoul slaves and give them scoped hunting rifles, I guess.

Its simply, you need to have Your own daypass in your inventory. If you lose it, you will have to buy new. You can enter inside the city since 8:00 AM till evning.

if you found that daypass not bought it so no surprise. You need to buy your own daypass to enter. Alsyou you can be in town only from 8 AM to 8 PM. Also you cant have gun in your hand inside city. Whats more, some areas are restricted (vc council for example) to enter not only to daypass holders, but to vault city citizens as well, maybe you entered in one of those.

Car prices vary. Base prices are on the wiki (http://www.fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Cars).
Real prices are higher
Best thing you can do is go to T-Ray in New Reno's garage unarmed and carrying nothing as PK like that spot.
Talk to T-Ray about buying a car and he will show you the prices.
When you buy a car it will appear behind you in the garage.

The addiction is permanent only, if you're addicted to jet. The addiction to other drugs doesn't last more than 30 minutes, mostly and there is a lower chance to get addicted in that case.

In that case it would be cool if there were only a set amount of certain items; say, 10 power armors in the game, and the only way to get one would be to pk another player, or something like that.

Power Armor's and Gauss Rifle's are Special Items, they became a reward for Winning in an Event (Depends on the Event).
It became harder to get a Power Armor, and i guess it will become more harder than it already is. Just keep try to get the Brotherhood Armor, That should be fine enough.  ;)

You still can Get one with PK'ing or Buy one from other players.

Maybe there could be some really difficult quest, for, say, the brotherhood or enclave, thats maybe only available once a day or week or so, and the power armor were unable to be repaired, and broke down slightly more easily.

I'm saying there would only be 1 total available per day-ish, so having alts would have no effect on it.  Maybe like a gladiator-style tournament where the last man standing gets the prize for example.

I think there has got to be a sweet spot between having cool items being so rare that people only keep them in there tent to show off, and so common that level 1 characters are running around with them.

It's more than it just being fun, it's a huge part of the game for me.  One of my favorite parts of fallout 1 and 2 was getting the power armor and basically tripling in size and looking totally badass.  It's just sad that this game doesn't have that and I don't really see a reason.

Don't ignore ST bonus, it works like weapon handling because of +3 ST, so it's not only like BA but also free perk. But if PA will be so rare, it will be strange to make builds for it ^_^

If bursts are the same as single shot in torso, then it's possible to KO, I once punched guy in NCR to let him grab BA from exit grid, I had low unarmed skill and low % to hit, but I had better criticals perks, 10 LK and x3 MC, got critical hit and knocked him out, so he couldn't grab it... so it's possible to knock out in torso.

Also, how does "Better Criticals" affect bursts?

Yeah, what's the point to use an uber rare item in fight if it is worst than a regular item? The only interest to use such thing is if it gives advantages. If not, it's only a waste.

Its not the title of the reputation, the negative points are the value that makes you a KOS target. Don't know the exact number but it gets worse with ever negative reputation. First with Antipathy they tell you to put your weapon away in random encounters, then youre KOS in random encounters and with "hated" or "villified" youre KOS in towns.

Only more likely to drop the gun but that's still a rare thing when you got alot of SG skill.  150+

-also u can use a buffout, psycho(but psycho isnt a good idea for snipers), and u can take a WH perk (+3 to str, when cheking a str penalty)

- critical chance will be the same. No any penalties for critical hit tables, checked a lot of times by my hTh char.(there no any difference between 160 or 300 hth skill)
-and yes, there is some negative effect (but low sg skill doesnt affect it somehow/). If you have low str, you will have more critical failures. I mean, if your weapon requires 5 str and you have less than 5

sniper works with all guns including those you mentioned. Dunno about sneak

2) No, you don't even need high sneak to be invisible. I don't know how it works, but 100% is more than enough to be like ghost.

Sometimes guards don`t trigger on "blacklisted" items, it is random. I was running with Jet in hands towards 3 or 4 Cops and they ignored me, even managed to reach Gunther inside, when finally red warning text appeared.

My guess is that you probably lagged, and text appeared too late. Delay before guards actually start shooting was about 3 seconds for me.

Yeah it works like that and sniper perk really kills all fun in game, you'll just do ratatata and kill everyone with 1 burst as I said, already tried it.

You'll find it boring after wipe out NCR or other town.

This works for all ranged weapons. So, every weapon mode except melee/unarmed. So, yes. It will work with throwing.

Your max AP affect your AP regen, so like more AG=more AP, more AG=faster regen yes.
Prove it? I won't make a video. Just create a AG1 char with bruiser and a 10AG char, then see how much time it take to regen... IIRC it's 4s to get your full AP (starting from 0), no matter your total number.

The thief can successfully steal your item, but the red text in the text box says that the guards have spotted him. It coincides with the "It looks like __ is interested in your possessions". A guard can still spot a thief even if they were able to steal the item.

RadAway still uses old old drug mechanics. I think the addiction timeout only decreases when your character is actually online.

It's an old urban legend, you only have to wait the beginning of addiction malus, and thren you can logout, and it will go away.

i read on interplay mmorpg project FAQ - death in game is death of character, and player have strong system for self defence (avoid death). i bet its genious idea for mmorpg, that based on cash. so this can make high/very low cash income for interplay... but! fonline can use some mechanics for help low lvl players to avoid death and to other players too...
idea with complete death for character/make character dead ghost or -hp+very strong hurt system or etc can change gameplay just to better for most players ( i bet and i see here is alot hardcore high int high iq gamers, game can become from -like for me its very good game, and best for my opinion mmorpg(played alot mmorpg before)- to better (better include alot parts like gameplay and simple hardcore big quantiny of in-game life changes lines).

in fo2 and fo1 players have just death screen if they die.

Can you sneak in tb combat? and if not how does visibilty work. I was just facing a player who walked away from me and as soon as he got past 16 hexes he dissapeared. I have 8 Pe (44hex vision range) and it was daytime.

well if the player was sneaking before combat initiated and did not perform any activity that would remove sneak then it should be active i guess. otherwise you cannot turn it back on during tb combat.

It was a bug. I was addicted to radAway before server shutdown. When gm's restored last data, my addiction become bugged and jet-like. But now all is ok. Thx for attention, and sorry for my bad english)

Ghost doesn't increase your sneal skill, it simply adds +30 to formula to your sneak, that's why you can take it even with 300 sneak. Any other perk, that really increases skill(s), will never increase it >300.

When i buy militia, it always has very bad weapon (unarmed, spear, etc.), but when a guy from another faction buys it, it almost always comes with miniguns, RL's , even gauss pistols. What it depends on? speech skill? Charisma? Who has certain info about it? Dont tell me that it's only the matter of luck, i've tried a lot and every time is the same.

Depends on the amount of caps the bank has at the moment you want to withdraw. For example: Player A visits FLC in HUB and deposits 11k caps. (If the cash pool of the bank was at zero before they now have 11k caps in it.) After this player B comes around and wants to withdraw some caps from his account. He might have like 100k caps on his account but now he only can withdraw those 11k caps player A deposited before.

I don't know if it's working on FOnline 2238, but you can try this file:

It is master&critter dat version without scripts from F2, etc... (if you try to use it you have to remove from FOnline.cfg these lines about master and critter and add on first line of DataFiles.cfg "fallout.dat" as I remember)

Both are appropriate. From your legal copy of the game you should take only two files: master.dat and critter.dat.

You need fallout 2 in order to play, When you have fallout 2 installed run Fonline then when it is asking for the right files you will need to set a path to both Critter.dat and Master.dat then after you do that you should be able to play.

So according to this info, you should try to get position behind the target during the night (10 PM - 08 AM) and try to steal with high STEAL skill (at least 200%) and "Pickpocket" perk.

Also he asked about exact formula, not phrase: you need "high" steal skill, because "high" steal skill gives "more" chances to steal! Really!
But I don't know exact formula is public. +it'll be hard to get exact % that you'll be spoted or not, because it's unknown if each guard+victim are rolling PE check against steal skill of thief +if range between thief and guard matters +facing of guard matters +victim's PE helps guards or not, etc. There will be really many variables about spoting thief, but stealing item itself should be easy formula, because there will be only victim's PE, thief's steal skill, number of items you want to steal, (weight of item(s) and facing angle of thief and victim, if you don't have perk).

Hey people, I'm new to this server so I got couple of questions.

1. Can you make a group or something similar so you can chat with people (friends) who aren't near you ?
2. Do you join existing player faction in game or on forums ?
3. Is there a point in trying to loot stuff around as I noticed all the lockers and such are empty ?
4. Is it better to shovel for money for beginner or trying to do quests around ?
5. I noticed some players don't speak english I presume its not mandatory ? (And it also adds up to the confusion of wastelands which I find cool if that is the case)

1. You can tag people to follow them on world map. They need to have X+1 CH, where X is number of players following them to be able to move on map.
2. Joining faction itself in game, but you can go to gang section forum and try to find it 1st, because trying to find a PC faction in game will be.. a bit problematic.
3. There's no item spawn in lockers/chests.
4. Loot from dead NPCs and sell. Or craft BBs/other ammo and sell. Or craft healing powders and sell. Shoveling shit is a waste of time.
5. You can speak whatever language you want because, obviously, it's not forbidden, so what's the problem?

Reputation lose for bursting innocent people in guarded town increased? +you're losing reputation when killing innocent bluesuiters in respawn point?
I had ~ -1300 rep with NCR.
Then I said to one guy in metal armor in NCR to give me his armor, but he offended me by saying bad words with sexual content so I had to burst him.
I respawned with ~ -1500 rep with NCR.
Then I was so angry that I killed the same guy again in respawn location in a tent by kicking his eye, and guess what? Now I have ~ -1650 rep with NCR!
Or may be he was in NCR faction somehow? I saw somewhere in the forum in bug section post from Bob that when you're joining BoS in some location you're considered as NCR faction?
Here is it:
NCR \ Brotherhood guard [68167850]
-Accepts 5mm ap , in order to join
  -Player receives negative reputations (BOS -300 | enclave -500 | unity -1000 | )
  -Player is considered member of New California Republic , rank 1
  -Player is unable to enter bunker, receives in msgbox 'need key'

If that's so, then all thieves must join this faction! Just imagine when you steal something and those poor attackers will lose 100-150 rep with NCR with each attack on you! You can even specially provoke them do it 24/7 just keep your own reputation >-1500 and fail steal something and let them attack you!

No skill penalty.
Each bullet has the same % to hit as 1st.
So if you have 95%, each bullet will roll 1d100,
If one bullet will roll 1-5 it'll miss and every next bullet will miss as chain breaks.
There're different chains for different targets if your bursts hits more than 1 target.
Also critical chance is for whole burst, not per bullet, if 1st bullet rolls critical, then every other bullet will do critical damage, if not, then whole burst not critical.

Great!  ;D, I have now gone and done exactly what I shouldnt have done.. I locked myself out of the computer, by only having "Friends" added, and not any other full members.

This means I cant use computer to reclaim control, and the base will eventually delete it self in 30 days, due to the computer not being used?

Nope even if you just friend there as long as you use the terminal it won't disappear even though you can't add and remove people now you can still use the base. If there is any member though the one with the highest rank and rep should be chosen as the new leader if others added as friend then to gain terminal rights you need the help of a gm

He will not give me the dialogue to talk about SF. My pip says it is done and talk to doc andrew, but there is no dialogue option to say I found out more info for him. Gave it a couple of real days and tried again but still no. Is there something I am doing wrong? (forgive me if this is simple, I am pretty new)

I actually rolled a new character and did this quest yesterday. It worked fine for me as well, my ordering was: VC (I reported this right to him before taking the train anywhere else), SF, Boneyard, NCR.

Well, it is possible, the jet will disappear, but with no effect if the guy is healthy, and will kill him if he is unconscious, without giving him addiction or effect in both case.

1. whats the max capacity of the items you can fit in the crate in your tent and how its calculated?

2. can i get more containers in my tent or i'm limited only to that crate i get in start?

3. is there any way to cure addictions? let say mentats addiction for example

4. is it posible to reverse pick pocket/to plant an item in some1s inventory?

1 and 2 - I don't know its capacity, all I know is that it's very low. Instead you can put items on the ground around your tent. The whole tent map isn't accessible by anyone but you.
3. You have to wait them out.

I tried to do the medical investigation for doc andrew in VC. I went to all the TSs, investigated, and hiked back to VC. I told Doc about all train stations, except San Francisco. He will not give me the dialogue to talk about SF. My pip says it is done and talk to doc andrew, but there is no dialogue option to say I found out more info for him. Gave it a couple of real days and tried again but still no. Is there something I am doing wrong? (forgive me if this is simple, I am pretty new)

still can't tell him. no idea why. dangit

Can you buy a base in the game, or you have to buy it from another player? Seems like mixed responses when I search for info on base buying. I haven't tried in game yet, but it seems futile to save all those caps if I can't buy one in game (I have been sticking with the trust no one mentality so far). Any advice on how to buy a base in game before I go wandering around the wasteland with thousands of caps in my hand? much appreciated.

Theorically you are supposed to buy your base from NPCs, but in fact, like there is no more faction name available, you have no choice but to buy from players.

Question about weapons which have an ability to damage more than one target (grenade, flamer, rocket-luncher). Does perk living anatomy give additional damage to all targets or to primary one only? And the same question about critical hits - does critical effect apply to all targets?

All targets if I remember correctly. Not sure though.

No, critical can happen only to your primary target.

I am relatively new, just about to get level 10. I am sick of getting ripped off by TKs. was thinking about joining a player based faction, but do I have to be like a mine slave forever? how long will it take me to gain rep. I wanna be kind of a nice guy (anti pk, anti tk), are there factions that are more "the good guys"? I have met other nice people.

also is it unethical to have alt chars? Does it just depend on how you use them? I see people complain about alt chars and abusing reputation, but it seems that is the point, if you wanna play the game from a different angle, no?

I don't see how it wouldn't work. NPCs do have a certain amount of PE too, and the calculations are done with the usual calculation, which is the same with players. I've tested this myself in encounters, against mercenaries and slaves, and I can say that it indeed does work.

No. Drugs don't work for perks.
