1. HQ ores and mins.
There should be a HQ parts vender somewhere in the wastes(But they should be exspensive). 8/10 times people will die going to BH or Redding to mine and for a measly 4 mins or ores.
2. Cheaters.
To all people who use the aimed shot scipt should be banned for life, if u cant play normally dont play at all.
3. Crafting.
As someone already mentioned about Leather Armor needing plets and not 1 hide despite it being made from brahmin hide. if this is a balancing thing, there is the rest of the game to balance, no need to fuck crafting up for evryone else.

So I did search about it a little and... YES... hack like this do exist 100%... google is full of FOnline headshot script, FOnline aim bot, WPE pro with scripts for FOnline and even... forums made to discuse about hacking FOnlne ! - real time battle has been owned by hack.

I have encountered all of those issues you mentioned myself, and, if I might say so, am also more than discontent with the problems they produce.
Regarding point #1:
This is a highly interesting idea Ox-Skull, I thought of something like this, too, but I am afraid that there would soon be all normally mining powergamers present at the trader's, purchasing from them as well until they run out of stock... -.- What do you think about that?
Regarding point #2:
Absolutely positively approved! (and as Frosti just confirmed, there's a highly annoying programme that can be found all over the net...)

I also saw the post you refer to. I totally agree to the fact that it's somewhat illogical what the description says. But instead of condemning the developers' (admittedly great) work on balancing issues, we should encourage them to simply change the leather armors' description in the proto.msg files from what they are now to something like "...out of finely tanned and meticulously stitched together highly durable golden gecko pelts..."
As also my common sense tells me (from fighting golden geckoes HtH ^^) that those lizards' skin is a whole lot more resistant than a brahmin's hide ;)
After all I would like to thank you for giving a stumbling block for me to finally contribute something to improve our beloved Beta.

Best solution i can think of is to rework the interface... Aimed shooting is tedious in RT anyway.
How? New button, that brings up the aimed shot menu. Without having a target. This menu lets you choose a default aimed shot body part. Selecting aimed shot will allways target that body part untill changed.
Enhanced version: Look at the numeric keypad...

Well I know how much many players want to keep real time battle system but its not possible to outspeed aim bot script even with proposed 'numeric keypad'.
Ofcourse you can try but it will be like playing Counter-Strike vs aimboter :/
Real Time battle system is doomed, only Turn Combat can eliminate aim bots.

I guess it is hard to tell sarcasm over the post, but yeah you can type anything and it will give you what you are looking for, even its like "dsafdoifasdn". So just because you see FOnline Hacks and what not doesn't mean it is actually there.

I think people want Alts because that's what is effective more then for the sake of having Alts. People don't like being weaker then the other guy because it means we are more likely to lose. The gathering system attracts more botting alts

yeah, man. but we all know that. Alts are here because our skill points limits. its much easier and efficent to create 1 combat char and 1 alt that will be actually good at something like repair, rather than make a messed up char who can do some more things than just fighting but none of them on a descent level. If we choose not to alt: at the end we simply find ourself in a crappy situation where we are weaker than most of guys we meet in this game... so many of us will quit or roll a strong build designed to do this and that. I doubt it will change since people are so powergreedy. not many real testers left in fonline

Well now that you ask there's many solutions.
Skill point limits in gerenal should be lowered, they are the one reason why we got so much alts. To get one skill up to 300 it takes so much investment that you can't do anything else. Nobody wants to play that kind of char all the time.
Make pvp efficiency less dependent on builds. Because to be equal against pvp players, you need equally effective build. Because this build can only fight, you are encouraged to create crafting builds.
Make it more productive to play one char all time time than split this gaming time between many chars. Reputation has potential for this, you rack reputation for one char and get benefits from rep. If you start playing a new char, he has 0 rep everywhere and doesn't get as good benefits.

I allready created a reworked system(on paper). I'm just waiting for SDK to test it out.
Why I won't suggest it for 2238? Becuase 99% of suggestions is turned down and flamed anyway. People don't want to change. It would be just furtile, as devs won't bother with going SO FAR from original fallout(and yes. its hell far from what we have in 2238)

Majority's opinion isn't heard in these forums. In addition I doubt nobody wants to do things exactly as you do, we gotta discuss these things together and come up with agreements. If we all just plan our visions alone we never end up having any conclusions. In Lordu's pvp proposal we managed to agree on some things which is rare when it comes to suggesting completely new features.
Besides, flaming and vague comments have nothing to do with proper reasoning and should be simply ignored and moderators should punish from such behaviour. Surf Solar has done good job here at forums by hunting down immature comments and Izual is doing it in irc, we're betatesters we should have some class and intolerance against snide nonsense.

I honestly don't understand why you can't make a normal Character and just play the game with just the character.... I don't craft, almost ever, except to make ropes. All I do is go to a shop with shit and switch them out for the good stuff after raids.... ( NPC raids such as, Junktown scouts, Broken Hills Caravans etc.... ) And I have never even thought, " Hey I need a crafting alt to be better at the game, better git to it!" It hasn't crossed my mind at all.
Even when it comes to repairing I just take my smg, assault rifle, or some other shit to a shop and trade it for a 0% det one.... I can understand when it comes to snipers your kinda fucked but.... hey they're snipers they dont grow on trees, but miniguns 0% and 5mms, 10mms, and so on do.
I have no comment on energy weapons. ( I have absolutely no friggin idea ).
So if someone could explain to me why people MUST use crafting alts to play teh game? ( Well play it without being a total noob apparently.... )

I know that, man. I am aware that all good suggestions should be discussed to come up with some agreements but the thing i would suggest is a completly reworked fonline. Devs would never do any of the changes I have in mind, because the want to keep 2238 as close to original fallout as it's possible. Unfortunately 2238 will never become alt-less without BIG/diffrent changes. I mean there could be something done with karma and shit, but I rather concetrate on leveling and character creation system itself.

The point is stats are useless untils you reach 120% and this is a big nonsense.
Now from this, you have to max 3 stats to be strong and you can do only one single thing with this kind of build.
So you have alts to be able to do something else :/
In fact till you stay out of other players sight, you can manage a char with 1 or 2 stats at 120% and a bunch around 100, but yeah be prepared to die frequently and not be able to match players who do not balance and prefere alts, crafter, gather, PvP, taxi ... Finally you will be limited in jobs with a balanced and not be able to craft best stuff than alters can do.
And since everything is done to have PvP/PK big majority prefere alting.
Now the issue would be to make the system usefull if you have 100% or less but not nerf it for those who have 200%, so you have a real choice between over specialisation or being a bit polyvalent, which is not really the case now. (look repair skill :/)

My idea is to not remove but limit maximal skill% level. For exemple maximal skill% in small guns is 150%, maximal first aid 80%, maximal big gun 100% etc.
Also add bonuses for living and playing 1 character:
-kill 50 scorpions, rats, geckos, mole rats - gain 50% to outdoorsman
-kill 5 ghouls - gain 5% to small guns, big guns ,energy and melee and unarmed
- kill 10 centaurs, flaoters - gain 10% to small guns, big guns ,energy and melee and unarmed
- etc
All those bonuses will stay as long as you live after death you need kill the critters again.

If we would change every recipe to something that would be really needed from a logical point of view, then a combat armor would need at least advanced polycarbone, some boron carbide and advanced polythylene.
Have fun whith gathering materials for it and finally crafting this stuff. :>

Well it's going to depend how you introduce the factions. Right now faction hopping won't get much worse since the factions are mostly nothing but waypoints in player's lifeline.

That is, if you arnt a part of The Rogues or another powerful faction who hav no problem getting HQ stuff.
They just kill everyone else for their Hq ores and mins.
So ill just keep praying, that one day ill hav at least 8 hq mins or ores i can actually do something with.

Yeah devs are minigunning nubs there, for sure.
The fact that mines are unguarded are alright, but there's other issues that ruin the idea.

For record im not saying that HQ mine idea is bad - im saying that how it comes out is bad. ( maybe if HQ mines were foundable randomly in caves around world map would be better?)
Multilogers, gangs etc, were always ahead of averge players and now with those HQ mines there is abyss between players + unsolved aim bot issue...

Sometimes you're lucky and you can buy hq stuff from traders in NCR, perhaps in Broken Hills too.
Some players are regularly selling hq stuff for descent prices in NCR.
With the alt I'm currently leveling up, I managed to get 21 hq minerals and 20 hq ores (7 minerals or 4 ores per run, so 8 runs) in total this weekend.
2 out of 3 of my runs were successful.
Total cost of my run was 1 10mm pistol with 15 additional ammo.
Some tips:
Always view the map before entering.
If you see players, keep checking before entering.
If you see dead players, dead npc or stuff laying around, don't enter.
Don't use the main entrance on the map.
Don't become overweight as you can't run.
Don't go in during town control battle.
Try not to go in during the busy hours on the server.

HQ materials are only available in places where there is competition for them. This is an immutable law of the game. It's up to you to solve this problem.

No it has to do with people who enjoy hording thousands of items for some strange reason rather than going out and risking some of these items in exchange for PvP.

2 out of 3 runs successful is good enough for me.
Even if I would go in fully equiped and there are pk around, I'll probably get killed.
Most PK pk in teams, sometimes all BG, but often with snipers too.

And why wouldnt i whine about getting PK'ed by some arse using aimed shot script. it would take a normal person at least 3-4 seconds to do a real aimed shot, aimed shot script is instantaneous.

The issue with aimbots is another cup of tea and I agree that this is a pain in the arse. But one can't do much about this, even the guys at Blizzard (WoW) can't do much about those Bots/Scripts...

Thats up to you, you can solve the problem of how to get HQ materials, you can buy advanced stuff, you can stick to low tech stuff - it really isn't that much of a difference dispite the "experts" on the forum - or you can just go and do something else.
HQ materials will remain available only in dangerous places, if anything they would become harder to get.

This not, but your idignation does. Even I, southern noob, can get some HQ materials with a bit of luck and quick legs.
And it's not a shame to loose with aimbot or cheater. Shame is using cheats in MMO.

There is sometimes a situation when there are like 4-5 people with heavy equipment and there is nothing you can do, but most of time mines are almost empty. Im killing miners when i need minerals, and most of them are just running away. Seriously if they would just stop and try to fight me, they could kill me easily. I dont understand why dont you grab a weapon and try to fight back?

Cos you will lose any equpmant you take.
Sometimes there is just 1 man with 10mm pistol. But sometimes there are people with minigun, or sneak-throwers.
There is another problem. Instad of puting more low quality resources for lets say assault rifle or combat shotgun devs decided to put HQ resources to craft level 2 guns.
If you don't want to carry pistol with you all the time. You have to go for HQ ore.
I think that even 10mm SMG need 1 HQ something to craft it.
And other thing is ammo. You need only 1 metal part and 3x HQ gunpowder to craft 100 5mm AP. For 100 5mm JHP you need 2x metal part 6x gunpowder and 2x junk.
Yes, You can craft 5mm JHP with "safe" resources, but it si more time and cooldown consuming.
Poseble solution would be to make low quality ammo and high quality ammo. Same requirements, but if you craft it with LQ gunpowder you get LQ ammo. If you craft it with HQ gunpowder, you get HQ ammo.
so LQ ammo - PVE
HQ ammo - PVP
same thing like with weapons.
improved flamer, minigin- PVE
avanger, LSW - PVP
combat shotgun, assault rifle -PVE
P90, Sniper, Pancor - PVP
or armors
all up to and Metal Armor - PVE
Metal mkII, Tesla, CA, CA mkII, BoS - PVP
If you don't need PVP equipment you should not ever step inside unprotected (HQ) mine

And about alting, crafting/repair alts are not a big problem like PVP alts.
tendency is to have 2 or more PVP alts (same as main PVP character) so if you lose the fight all team just goes in with another set of characters.
and this wasn't caused by removing of xp diminishing after 10 creatures killed.
Some gangs are just no lifers and they will allways have this capability.

If we want to gather HQ - we need to kill (unguarded mines) - ok, it will be too easy to gather it from caves in encounters etc.
but now:
If we want to gather normal ore or min - we need to kill (unguarded 'guarded mines' - near junktown for example)
If we want to gather some xander roots etc or even do some quest - we need to kill (PKrs in world map)
If we want to sell/buy sth - we need to kill (e.g. in 'guarded' NCR)
So where is a place like in F1 or F2 where we don't need to shoot?
We can have 5 mercenaries for killing, but if we don't know how to fight we will be dead, mercenaries will be dead soon too.
To survive we need to have big gang with many alts?!
The only characters we can play now is powerbuilded BG, Sniper or thief. We can't play with only one character 'good for everything'.

They are all lvl 4.
There are 200 this/simular to this accounts on server.
They are called looting alts.

The same with stealing, every attempt noticed by the guards would result in -5 or -10.
For NCR doing such things inside the city would mean a bigger negative reputation than doing it outside.
Off course your reputation would increase with Hub criminals, raiders, etc.
Any rep lower than -300 should cost you to lose protection in guarded cities.
Still it wouldn't stop people from creating alts or increase their rep. by killing.

I'm always saying - faster you'll learn how to avoid/fight with dangers, longer you'll survive in this harsh world. Making "safe places for n00bz" will only make game reality more painful for them.

You could add some rule to also have rep. loss for killing "protected" players.
Basically the bazaar is outside NCR city and both NCR and NCR rangers don't care what happens as long as they're not under attack.

This not, but your idignation does. Even I, southern noob, can get some HQ materials with a bit of luck and quick legs.
And it's not a shame to loose with aimbot or cheater. Shame is using cheats in MMO.
Solar's reply seemed to be paying me out or something, so I replyed with that.
I can get "some" HQ materials when im lucky too, but not enough to really do anything with, i hav access to Armorer LVL 3 but i cant really utilise it.
I hav a few friends and they hav the same diffuclty as me.
If the player factions themselves should start selling HQ parts (like the rogues) at NCR under heavy guard, (mind u they would charge a pretty cap for them) that would be awesome. Which ever gang has the most success selling HQ parts would become very very rich and very powerful.
It would be good too, if a powerful player faction (like the rogues) could make world annoucements.

I'm a level 3 small guns crafter and have no problems getting HQ material.
Currently I have 21 HQ minerals, 20 HQ ores (see earlier reply in this thread) and a few HQ alloys, good metal parts and adv. gunpowder.
The ores and minerals I gathered myself, the rest I bought.
Both from npc traders in NCR and from players.
The stuff I bought from players was bought at normal prices.
I don't know why, but to me it seems there's more selling HQ materials by players in NCR in the weekends than during working days.
I'm quite sure some of the sellers are from 1 or more of the larger factions and probably PK.
With the material I have right now I could craft till the max. cooldown and still would have stuff left.
It's definitely harder to mine HQ minerals and ore and it's more expensive to buy them.
Nevertheless they're not too hard to get by, you simply shouldn't give up.

In real-time combat (pile of shit) why cant u exit when on grid, if you are on the grid it should exit
Id rather it exit the map then stand there on the grid getting blasted. Combat Timeout bullshit just exit the fuckin map.
Fix this pile.
And stop making the game how u want it to be devs.

Yes, this game is full of trolls.
When making a game that has over 400 players, ur meant to listen to the player base.
Make the game for the players not your little group.
If this keeps up the only players wiil be the devs.

No one said that the team doesn't give a shit about players opinions, or suggestions.
That's why there even is a feedback/suggestions subforum.
But as said, it's THEIR game not ours, or some random players game. It's noncommercial, so technically it doesn't matter if there are players or not.

There is a 180 second cooldown when you logoff.
This means, your character will be visible after your logout for this time for others, like Player "Example" it shows "Example(off)".
Log out on the worldmap, at your tent etc. to prevent such things. Also, don't double post.
