hmm today around 14:00 scouts price was 17k, now (1:43) price is 26k i guess tomorow it gonna be 50k+  ::) ::)

If car price mechanics are going to work the same way as unbalanced Mercenary price mechanics, it's going to be 100K before next month.

im a beta tester so i got to write this. cars ARE discoverable ... for the first 10 minutes, after that encounter is closed, ah and another thing if u have 20 lockpick u can still steal a car all u need is time, u can also stay there and w8 for the driver

Apparently cars are lockpickable, but cars are not discoverable - it was changed and I hadnt found out.

So wasteland safe, cities are empty of cars.

Someone needs to verify one of these two options about being discovered.  I'd like to believe the Dev on this one, but Ebay seems to be pretty sure...

It was the case on the cbt that they could be discovered, but then it was changed around before the update. Now they are lockpickable, but not discoverable.

so untill owner is in encouter with car, everybody can find him with his car via random encounter, but when owner leaves encounter, nobody can find his car

For a while after encounter creation, then it will be hidden for all but passangers.

Had a car drop into a random with me earlier today, Driver had a heart attack and I don't blame him.  Lucky I don't do the pk BS, but I really think the ability to [stumble] onto cars should be looked at a little more.  It really is still basically DUMB LUCK if you get to keep the item you just busted your tail for.  And in many cases with smaller groups of players damn near impossible.

look man if you got a car and you're still travelling along the "highways" (the lines of travel directly between certain points) then you should seriously reconsider. a car can get you where you need to go safely but if you're going to forego the safety for speed, don't waste your caps because some lucky happy PK will be holding your car keys over your corpse going LOLOLOLOLOL

But arn't the devs encouraging us to buy and use cars more often by nerfing walk speed?  I mean they even decided to grace us with our cars being un-discoverable (but apparently there is an amount of time it shows up for everyone).

I second the notion that discoverable cars needs to be looked at.  Only a matter of time before cars become decoration for bases once again.
