So yeah, cars just got alot better.

At least, they make sense now. As far a brahmin full of ore on passenger seat makes sense.

Edit: caravans must also give the speed bonus now. Would be sad, if they were as slow as a wastelander.

Cars have a new encounter table, and it sounds like it's working.  So do all the cars have some sort of storage?  Also any news about the lock picking?  And how long they stay visible on world map if you need to leave them for whatever reason?

The change log states that cars left in the wastes are visible to their owners only, I'm wondering for how long.  And no news on lockpicking or no they aren't able to be picked?

So it is possible 1 for them to be lockpicked, and 2 for them to be subject to being stumbled upon in random encounters.  Well there goes cars being useful again.  Can't hide them in the wastes and don't bother parking them in town cause some uber picker employed by certain [groups] is gonna walk off with it.

If a car or caravan is left in the wastes for whatever reason, [out of fuel, owner killed] It can be hit as an encounter for a traveling Wastelander thus good-bye car.

There shouldn't be like 100 of parked cars right outside of NCR...

I just want so that my new specialized char "Repo man" can be useful...  ;D

If cars are lockpickable they are useless. If it turns out that there will be hundreds of cars all over the place then its a simple matter to increase the cost of running them, to reduce the numbers.

But we shall see what happens.
