Probably in some hours. Today or tomorrow.

Personally I feel that the changes to map movement are welcome. they create a sense of levity of the game world. for once it actually feels like a big wasteland, i mean, besides the absurd random encounters which im sure will be toned down to the tune of something like 25-30%. the changes make cars very useful and highly desirable.

imo, the next step is to introduce a player limit to certain areas, while adding significant PVE to the same areas, to encourage hotspots for small, entertaining, group pvp.

Only thing thats changed is pretty much the map speed. There are ways round this if its too slow for you, ie Cars, and these are not so expensive that it prices single players out of the market.

Trains bugged and has been covered already.

Quests rewards were always pretty random, but were so easy that their level of xp was fine. Perhaps they need increasing, perhaps the extra quests we should have from the competition winners will make it so there doesn't need to be quite so much travelling because all regions will have a decent amount of quests. But its really not the end of the world at the moment, we all know levelling is very easy and fast currently.

Grease guns require 1 trip to a guarded mine, 1 trip to ruins for junk and to cut a tree. You can make 1 in 20 mins and if you have the resources ready you can craft 4 in a row. Its very easy to become very rich, timeouts on crafting have been relaxed a lot - I'm sure it won't be long until we have our first millionare gangs and milionare loners not too long after them. If the aim is really only combat with stuff you get for free you have the Arena or you will have encoutner scenarios. If the aim is to get equipment from encounters then these are being worked on and the aim is to have decent ways to get these things, without them basically being free due to the ease of the encounter (see caravans).

ehm Just for curiosity ,

did u guys added more Pig rats encounter ? Just asking 'cause today I encountered 6 times in a row .

However , just not to go OT , its not frustrating because we gotta wait , it is when all this waiting most of the times leads to nothing .

Well like real life I suppose .

Thanks for the updates Devs.  I can't wait to see how things turn out after a little more polishing.  Right now it's a little rough on small groups, but I read serious advancements in that area.  At least you seem to be looking into it  ;)

I didn't get a reply yet, I'm curious.

You're saying that it is "still" about waiting, you imply that this was always the case?

What was so fun in 2nd era?

I don't believe this game is only about waiting, although there is of course elements of it, for obvious reasons. Crafting without cooldown is bad. Fast travel is bad for balance and makes cars worthless.

Well leveling is easy en fast, that's right, but not because of quest... Why almost noone do much quest? Because apart for the 2 first levels, the reward is such useless that is far more easier and effective to just go kill mobs. If quest had a great reward (even with difficulty, as long as its not too risky and time expansive, or go kill centaur will still be the better way) player would obviously do more quests.

I really can't say it's fast or very easy.  I'm still getting my tail kicked, running in pairs with a pal, trying to quest, hunt bahmin and stay the hell away from Pk'n noobs.  And after 4+ hours a day since wipe.  Level 5 YAY!!!  No money to speak of, one tent, 2 guns, no ammo, or armor.  Why?  Constant death from everything, pk's, good mobs, being dropped into the middle of several different raider/rogue fire fights, WITH Outdoorsman not giving us a chance to avoid. 97% of these were in the NCR Junktown Hub area, and in the relative straight lines between them, this wasn't Wasteland hopping.

Just because a few people managed to plow through and lvl a ton, please don't assume everyone can.

Yes yes it's balanced and all but it's not fun. Running back and forth in places isn't particularly exciting. It wouldn't matter if grease gun's cooldown was ten hours if the process of making it wasn't so tedious. That's why unsafe mines and crafting places provide more excitement, when you finally get the mats/equipments and get out alive you feel like you've earned the stuff. Unsafe gathering and crafting locations have their problems but they have potential for fun. Safe gathering and crafting do not have this potential.

1 trip, gathering, bla bla bla
Just go kill some scouts or regulators, get smgs, hunting rifles, lots ammo and don't waste your time on that gathering and crafting.
I realized that all that time I was playing FOnline by crafter was a waste ^_^
Also shooting NPCs with guns in RT alone much more exciting than... swinging with a hammer on rocks.

Hey dude wtf, it's not like im not doing this already  ;D

If some feature is unbearably boring then you don't just move on and do something funnier but report what's going on. Our beta tester's job is to make sure that unpopular features get reported so that devs' work won't be done in vain.

And I'm talking about gathering by hammer:by killing poor NPCs ratio a bit... not balanced.
Crafting:
1 trip = grease gun... for CD on gathering
1 trip = 100 10mm ammo... for CD on gathering
Killing poor NPCs:
1 trip = 3 smgs, 200 ammo for 3-6 bullets wasted on regulators' eyes.
1 trip = smg, 2 hunting rifles, some ammo for 3-6 bullets.

For some it's unpopular, for some it's fun. I enjoy crafting much more then just farming stuff at some encounters. ;)

Well, you see why we had the contest now ;)

Whats your outdoors and where are you walking round? should be quite easy to skip encounters now.
