Nobody should be whining in first place. Everyone should just report what they experience, state whether they felt it was okay or not and then suggest changes. People should then comment on these reports in polite manner and make their own reports. What's up to the devs is tell us what they want the game to be like so that we can more precisely describe if our experiences represent the way devs want this game to be like.
Well said.
There's a big difference between constructive criticism, which we gladly receive and listen to, and just plain whining and disrespect. One of the reasons why I've didn't respond to a lot of threads is because there's a lot of junk camoflauged as useful feedback, mostly in form of 10 people screaming the same thing in unison without any solutions to the problems that are supposedly so bad that the game is unplayable (and yet they continue to play after each whine).
I'm sorry that we can't reply to every thread, it's simple too time consuming with all the other things that goes into this project, fixing bugs, developing new features, making sure GMs have the tools they need and behave in a proper way (they do 99% of the time, despite what can sometimes be thought from reading all the "GM ABUZE" threads on here) and so on.
Despite this, most of us devs read the forum every day or often enough.
I think it's only natural that there will always be a lot of fighting over smaller and bigger changes, unfortunately, sometimes we make bad changes or try new things which didn't turn out like we've thought in the end, the reasons can be many. This is a beta test, so it's only natural that progress will move in a zig-zag fashion, certainly because with new features, there will be new bugs. I'm sure if we had more people, the development process would be smoother. This is however not how it is, so we try to proceed with what there is.
Now that there's an SDK released, my hope is that the people who think that we've essentially ruined everything, goes out and makes something that they believe to be better. There's literary nothing that stops them from making something that is better than 2238, as the SDK contains all the tools needed.
So if all you're here for is personal attacks and trolling, you're of no use to anyone. Be gone.
