Simply don't allow people to stand next to you.
WTF!?!?  Its called free-will, no one can simply... keep someone from standing next to them...

A stranger standing next to you in Fonline is very, very rarely a good thing.

When push doesn't work a 10mm SMG works wonders.

Along with losing maybe 10k caps worth of loot not to mention spawn system, being reworked to spawn to closest grave, means you'll spawn in same place, and most likely get back to town at same time, where greifing WILL CONTINUE, so don't be so naive or ... sarcastic.

Agreed, there is some work that still needs to be done to the thief system in [guarded] towns.

You can walk away, also out of that thing called free will.

There's not much wrong with thieving.
Biggest problem atm is the animation which is the same as FA and the 1 person per trader.

i'm on your side, I know the futility of killing them once. It usually takes 3-4 smgs to make them leave for good

No one is forcing anyone to trade in NCR.
The problem will be less if the 1 person per trader issue is solved as far less people will use steal or FA on someone to make them walk from the trader.

Yeah no one is forcing you.  Wait why aren't there any caps in Hub, Junktown?  Oh right the last time I tried to trade down there I was KILLED on the way there 3 times, 2 pks and one m60 from a good NCR army.  Nope can't imagine why people are 'forced' to be in NCR.  (didn't someone say the goal of part of the changes was to keep people closer to towns?)

I have to apologize.  I have been standing by Michaelh139 and his issues with being griefed by thieves in NCR and the trouble they're causing.  While I agree that something needs to be changed about the merchants 1 at a time talk, and the Thieving system in [GUARDED] towns, but Michaelh139 has NO room to talk about being griefed by PC's.  After being pk'd by him losing again everything I worked my ass off for, and having him say some seriously wrong things to me while waiting to replicate.  So I say now I'm sorry to back a PK'r

I agree with his thoughts, as stated above.  But I do not agree with him, he is a griefer himself, I guess it takes one to know one as it were, in his case...

Cry us a river, that has nothing to do with the topic.

The fake stealing and the blocking people into corners is really nerve-racking.

1. This is not the place to complain about being killed by some a pker.
2. I do have the room to talk bout being griefed by PCs, Thieving is semi-broken for the victim, no way to counter but hope he eventually leaves you alone, however, pvp is not broken, although certain aspects need to be polished of course.
3. calling me a noob is trolling and not allowed on forum.
4. Pvp is griefing yes, taking people's items is griefing, yes, but its a part of the game and a at least somewhat well-done and focused on part of the game, however, as stated before, thieving is somewhat broken and literally nothing but a griefing tool for some.  I killed you for your items, which yes was fun and considered griefng is  completely allowed part of the game.  Want revenge?  Take a smg and burst my ass, I aint only got 86 hp,  you should hit 100 easy at 1hex in NCR or Hub withot armor, who knows, you might make me lose 100k caps.

Cry more foul it's funny Mic.

In either case Thieving is an issue along with being forced into random encounters with pcs holding a 4 to 1 advantage.  I don't think changing the stealing visual will help a lot.  There are still too many of them able to continue stealing from you, especially after they have been killed.  And as stated a billion times, when waiting for a 1 at a time merchant might as well leave your gear on the ground.

Amen.
There's no way at the moment to recognize someone as a thief or as an impatient basterd scaring of the other players as he can't wait.
Not to mention the assholes who keep a trader occupied while having an empty inventory.

Hunting low level blue suits in teams is grieving too but as said off topic.
Nevertheless perhaps we should have a topic discussing how broken that is for the victim.

Thieving works fine the way it is.
Suggestions have been discussed, autopush was a good one.
