A few responses back it was stated that once you leave there is a 10 minute window where people can see your car parked.

This game has few enough interactions between players outside guarded cities that don't conclude with gunfire. I for one know I'd be more then delighted to wait a few minutes for a train (which costs 50 caps or even less), chatting with others and stuff. With maybe just 2 semi tough guards guarding train stations, so not everyone can just kill the whole bunch of people there but 2-3 people with coordinated efforts could.

It's enough that 5 n00bs will walk from point x to point y seperately instead of going together. Wasteland is lonely enough, no need to make it even lonelier. All I'm saying is...PUBLIC transport, however done can only be good. It forces more player interactions, even if it creates another PK arena. As it is now, I don't think many people are using it and that in itself is a problem.

Public Transport

We talking about the train? 

So I don't have enough to do in real life already but now I get to have fun synchronizing real life time to in-game time.

I would suggest something like taxis or a bus that is armed and guarded.  Its a tad bit faster than walking but its safe and doesn't require time keeping.  It would always be available at a city depot and all ya need to do is click the taxi and money is auto deducted from your caps.  This way you can keep your cap sin your hand without the fucking thieves robbing you blind.

Risk vs Reward.I'm sure you could get a few players together as guards, lead clients out to the wasteland to your car and then drive them out into the wastes.
