With the recent invasion of Junktown, I think a player-organized event is in order. I'm willing to help organize it sometime Saturday. We'll need several taxi NPCs, tons of soldiers and an IRC/radio channel. Of course it wouldn't be fair if GMs used their GM characters, so they can come if they come as regular players. If it seems like we'll be too overpowered, maybe GMs can give whoever is holding Junktown (I still don't know who it is) some free mercs to set up in town. The only problem is that I don't know who is there, so I wouldn't know who to kill and who to fight with. It seems like it could end up being a king-of-the-hill type thing with one person left, but if it liberates Junktown long enough for the guards to come back, I'm fine with that.

New Reno Boxing Tournament in Jungle Gym

The players are fighting in the ring armed only with Boxing Gloves, and No armor or Drugs.
With only two rules:
Everything must hit above the waist, and no kicking. A called shot to the groin or legs will end the bout with a loss for the player, and a kick to any body part will do the same.

Why a GM ? You're frustrated to not be able to kill them ?

No, it will be better to do something like a player who have high HP and High-tech gear, and everybody hunt him. The one who kill him takes is place and it restarts. And maybe after some time (few hours ? few days ?) the one who will be the "Almost God Guy" for the longest time got a reward.

This one remembered me of Stephen Kings "Running Man" (the book not the movie - two very different things)

Rules in FOnline:
-Event should be shorter then 30 days... some hours would be fine, maybe 4
-1000 caps per hour alive and 10000 caps if he survives
-100 caps per player or NPC (not in random encounters) he kills
-a screenshot every 10 minutes - to prove he was in cities/vaults/...
-every 30 minutes a GM announces his location
-a price for the player who kills him

Of course there could be more runners at the same time
and XP rewards could be possible also

still its easy to abuse stand in navarro or in vc inner city and so on.

Anyone know RTS the mod for Fallout3? (I hate fallout3, but this mod is Awsome)

Why not make a giant RTS in the wastes? You put somewhere colonistes searching for a new land, actual cities don't taste them and everyplayer should come and try to help like they can.
They would need every day :
-Somefood (fruits, steaks ...)
-Some drinks (water, nukacola, alcool)
-To be protected until walls are ok and guards are equiped
-Building materials for a wall and buildings (Junks, metal parts, hides, broken cars??.)
-Some weapons for guard
-Medical stuffs (stimpacks, antidotes ...)

And function of what is bring to them, the small village grow to become kinda a town or it desapear if everything go wrong (no food, or destroyed by radscorpions).
And maybe it would change a bit everyone from the actual "i rape your mother" like we could see everywhere.

Or a little "Fallout Quiz". You prepare, let's say 40, questions about the fallout world in general (they shouldn't be to easy). Then you divide all the players who take part of the event in groups (random). You tell the question and if one player of group XY is the fastest and answers it correct, the group gets a point. If the fastest player gives an answer which is false - he is out of the quiz (he dies in a horrible way.. ). This will be repeated until just a few players are left. Then you make a "last man standing" and see who is the smartest of all, who knows the most about the fallout universe. This one get's a gift then or so.

So, where we have it ?

I suggest Golgotha, where it was already before - it's near worldmap center, empty for the most of time, visible for everyone (unlike SAD for example). Dunno much about technical issues, but it requires only to spawn shitload of stuff and to take care that no one will leave with any gear.
I won't participate this, but I remember that many people liked it a lot.
