So i just installed this mod was hoping to play and everything worked fine until the time came to actually play. I can even hit the button but it just says cannot connect to server. Do people even still play this? Do i need to download an additional file for the servers? ... I feel as if i am missing something.

Try this, go in configure-net and change the host to  176.9.105.171 and the port to 2238 , if that doesn't work the server might of just been down.

Well is looks like the servers are down i tried replaces the port and id of both of the locations and no such luck. Thanks for the reply though.

Well i updated my game and now i get a similar message saying "datafiles2238.cfg not found run updater" and i do which it then tells me "updated no needed"
If theres anything i should be doing that I'm not any information would be great. I'm at a loss what to do except reinstall but i think ill just run into the same problem...

Run FO2238Config.exe and set the paths to Master/Critter.dat, which should be in your Fallout 2 folder.

You can also do it manually, by creating the datafiles2238.cfg file in your FOnline folder, then opening the file with Notepad or a similar program, and then input the two lines:

C:\Games\FOnline\data\master.dat
C:\Games\FOnline\data\critter.dat
(note that this is example location, your master/critter.dat will probably be in different place.)

Thanks that got it working. No idea why the paths got all messed up. Now if i could only survive for longer than 10 minutes

It says it can't connect to server. Did you check FOconfig.exe to make sure your IP was right?

Update 03/07/2012:
my updater stoped download at "FOnlineGL.exe" , i canceled and started the game, it said: "Data file ´data\faction002.zip´not found. Run Updater"
i pressed ok and would be able to play... is that normal? i got JovankaB´s clint downloaded as last.

still need help... i won´t download the clint again, would be the 3th time. and i got limited internet connection via webstick.
is "FOnlineGL.exe" supposed to need few hours to download or what? and what is in that faction002.zip? why it says i should run updater but iam still able to play?

  Sorry to ask I'm very new to FOnline 2238 and when I tried connecting to a server that is up...It does this...First I start the game...Login into my character. Then connect to the server and I got the IP and Port. Then the game is loading...Then stop loading goes back to the main menu and says "Connection Established, Authentiction..." I'm sorry but I've never seen that before. And I never'd learned about it either...So can anyone help me? It won't go on the server or load it even known its the right account and character.
