Brahmin skining whit skinning perk

Hello!

I know this topic is not for making the game easyer but a littlebit harder! The thing is! I my self used to be a butcher(not in the proffestion anymore) and i know how hard is skinning is! Brahmin skinning should be also obtainable via skinning perk like the gecko skinning... if you have the perk you can skinn brahmins too... it would make force the newbe players to put some skillpoints to OD(its not a bad thing for a newbe to have good OD at start anyway and i recomend them anyway) and go to other places to gain the perk, AND most importantly the players who are playing as trappers will get more chance to sell their hides! anyway you dont need to mutch OD to gain the skill so its not a big setback!

No not realy :P bit if you think about it it would make a lot more realistic. Anyway its just a tought im totaly neutral about it... i just wanted to share what i think.

Great Idea, you know a fair deal of newbs leave shortly after starting because they either don't know how to build a tent or constantly fail to amass the 10 hides required for one ? You planning what, to increase the amount of newb ragequits ?

Yeah, this is a must.

Also, add blueprint for tent.

started). If player would want a tent in some better spot, then would have to get the hides.

Agreed, it would be better imho if a new player could develop his character through their first levels in the same area he has spawned.

bluebrint for tent sounds cool, but i would just suggest to have knife in inventory during skining, not that hard for noobs.

I was thinking about something similar. Some quest available from trapper/traveller in the towns, that would guide the newbie through the tent building process. You know an ad hoc location with 10+brahmins and NPC that would give some advices how to build the tent. Quest requirement would be a weapon/gear based on the highest combat skill, so the player will have something to kill the brahmins with.

Don't forget to make sure tents can only be craftable in the advanced workbench in the Gun Runners' Fortress, it won't work anywhere else.



Serious note> I think players should be able to craft a "Tent" item and use science on it instead of carrying the 10 hides around, easier for mid-range players who don't have bases everywhere to make quick removable outposts and easier for newb charity since you won't have to haul hides everywhere.

As an exchange for this lighter and easier to carry "Tent" item, one could add the requirement of 10 hides + 4 sharpened poles to craft such item.

Pretty much what I was thinking when I saw this title. Wasteland might be harsh but this would be a new low.

I like the idea of craftable tent item. and the requirements could be different. say 5hides + 4 poles + 5 fibers. so the newbie will have to learn how how to gather fibers, wood and kill brahmins.
