If there are any changes, there should at least be a list in-game to chose from. Having to go to a website outside of the game to do something that is in-game isn't a very good feature, imo.

Additionally to that, is there any way of putting in a series of 3 or 4 drop down lists of words for name selection (Like the word lists in the "Fallout-o-matic name generator")? If you increased the dictionaries a little and allow people to request additional words through the forums, then there's a huge amount of possible combinations there - and you'd only have to moderate what was allowed into the dictionary in the first place.

Sure, you can make some pretty silly combinations if you want, but only as silly as "The Imperial Snake Shaggers", rather than "bLueSuItKILLAZLoL!11111b00bs".

I'd imagine the problem would be implementing that sort of menu system into the interface, as other than the "Van Buren style" character creation page in the SDK (menus for hair, skin, build etc), there doesn't appear to be any similar in-game system.

Chineses can't. Greek can't. Korean can't. Japanese can't. Arabs can't. I probably forgot many. Russian nicks are already annoying to deal with, sadly we can't remove them due to engine issues. But factions names would be as bad.

Yes, there are chinese gang. And 2238 is an english speaking international server, developped by people from many countries, with official forums, wiki, and language in english.

If it would happen, I am pretty sure that cyrillic would not be supported. This is not because we don't like russians, but because nobody from us can read it.

I understand what Doctor Eex means. We got gang names like Vault Šílené Brahmíny or Pura Familia Loca, which are not in English. It would be unfair if non-English faction names (except Russian) were allowed just because they use the latin alphabet, while Russian faction names were not allowed because of Cyrillic alphabet.
