If it would happen, I am pretty sure that cyrillic would not be supported. This is not because we don't like russians, but because nobody from us can read it.
GM can help with this. If it matters, and if somebody cares.
So, when can I create "Gay Niggers From Space"?
I saw your post, I had to LOL really hard. Hilarious. Too bad they removed it, don't know why, it was not offensive to anyone.
russian char names (in offensive language) is reallty annoying(if u know russian lng), and i meet about 10 or more people in few first weeks (with *bad* names). sorry but names like:пидарас, ща вьебу, гомосек, and etc... its really annoying if u know russian. same can be with faction names.
I'am totally disagreed with disabling cyrillic for char names, cuz there much more adequate names than not, IMO.
Yea, let's add Chinese font and char names also, and Japanese, Korean, Greek, Arab, etc...
I like the Cyrillic names, and I wouldn't mind Chinese.
For me, players with those names are NPCs.
Extremely dangerous ones.
This can be done. FOnline would need to use UTF-8 and a font using the full capabilities of this character encoding standard. This means that FOnline could handle 65536 unique characters. Given that we can have Cyrillic characters and Latin diactric signs in FOnline, it already means that we're not using ANSI (and most likely Unicode). Green light for moonspeak.Another issue is font size. I for one can tell from experience that Chinese hanzi is unreadable in size 8. Plus all letters on FOnline are a bit thick and have borders. But is it worth it? And is there enough demand for this feature to make it a must-have?
