since the wipe i only enter combat modes real time based, even though i have selected turn-based only option

is it intended or is it a bug?

TB is dissabled since it was causing a bug that made the server crash every 3 seconds

don't you pay attention on the forum?

if i were to expect the change in a week or 2 then it would be fine, but with situation like that, and game engine not designed for real time, i am of to look for a new game
i love fallout  but not time wasting on hyperactive russians killing everything walks or idiots wasting time stealing stuff

and game engine not designed for real time,

In fact, the game (engine) is more suited for real time than turn based. There are still lots of annoyances and stuff when it comes to the turn based combat.

from game design perspective i dunno about annoyances, from players the system is to rigid to be real time

i play to enjoy the game a lot of stuff thats allowed here is to extreme, game can be made hard without allowing players to be duches,  ale its entirely unrealistic that people just shoot one another all the time,  during great catastrophies humans tend to group, band together for protection,   if communites learn that someone is a murderer then they shun him, or lynch,  here  game promotes being a pric, wasting outher ppls time just to amuse urself.  thats why there is few players that stay here longer, somehow most of the world learned that  games must be anjoyable to majority not minority

Oh. Before I start:

http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=20248.0

Thats not the only one topic about TB. It was also mentioned in changelogs ofc.

When it comes to community - You somehow know it very well for a person who wants to ragequit  which is, excuse me, but - newbies domain.

Also - As long as I hate people that kill begginers and low level chars etc. without any good reason, as much as I believe they are ruining the playerbase, I still wouldn't call it unrealistic. I don't agree with them, and argue with some of them to the point when nazis are included in the conversation ( ;) ) but still would say they kinda fit the setting :p

I mean - how can you call a bunch of bloodlusting psychos who would kill you for a pack of cigarettes unrealistic in a world where law almost doesnt exist, in the world of nuclear holocaust and shattered morale? Huh?

I think now it's exactly how it would be, if catastrophe like that hit us. You would have bigger communities, which would try to survive together (gangs like VSB, BBS, Red Dots etc.), you would have loners, who are trying to survive (if you meet someone in encounter he will shoot and loot you in order to gear up/survive), you would have beggars (free bramin hidez plax), you would have people, who didn't lose their humanity after the apocalyptic madness (like Wichura and some other people, who helps "newbies" instead of merciless killing them), you would also have many types of scoundrels and scums, who would offer you help and then stab you in the back (look in NCR for that kind of people). Well, I don't see the big difference between how it would be in post-apo and how it is in FOnline.

P.S. This game is purely designed for Real Time, not Turn Based mode, it's not Single Player Fallout, it's MMO FOnline.

TB is very good if you hunt high tier enemies (inb4 lol there is no high tier anymore) with a group and coordinate the best. Otherwise its a fucking mess, especially with BGers.

Most people don't like TB with many guys because its waiting - and most people can remember when fonline was simulator of waiting ;)

youre right, there are only 2 things that make human be like they REALLY are: freedom and needing.
This game give us bit of both, the game is harsh because of players, i love that.
