So what the entire servers gooing to depond TTLA to be police??  There is no way that would work.  Not enough TTLA guys and they arn't on all the time.

Second and lets face it.  Its much easier to decide to be a douchebag raider than to be legitimate.  The server will always have way more criminals than police.

Also people have to let TTTLA know and provide screensots for proof.  Way too much work.  Defenitley more work than being on the other side of the law.

I think its a good idea.  If you want to be a douche than fine.  You can't go where civilized folks go and trade with other civilized folks.

What the raiders getting scared now that they have to worry about brotherhood enclave vc ncr patrols?  Well too bad, dont like it?  Dont be a douchebag.  Simple.

WASTELAND IS HARSH FOR EVERYONE FOR ONCE.

ps:  Its way too easy for people to create new alts to grief as is.  This way it is guaranteed if people shoot traders, other NPCS, other players, etc we know justice will be delivered.

John Ryder:
You don't want people to be bad only because you don't like it. And as a solution you want an All-Seeing-Eye to track them and hunt them down with NCR and BoS patrols. Makes no sense to me. Justice served by players is much better way because players are supposed to create the game world. And that TTTLA sucks and can't fight off raiders is a shitty argument. Hey, anti-pk factions can't take it so let's swarm pkers with NPCs and turn wasteland into another boring MMO with boring pvp.

Keldorn:
The other choice is to give raiders free reign.  If peopel could actually do somethign about raider attacks then things wouldnt be as bad as they are now.

Where is this all seeing eye stuff coming from? I like the fact that some factions will hunt down pkers if you give them proof. That is awesome.
My suggestion basically works if a player has enough CH so he/she can tell that a character is bad news. It's about being able to read peoples faces, and that requires charisma (lol not actually but CH is the social attribute of this game). There is no all seeing eye bull shit so stop talking about it

--- Quote from: Ned Logan on October 11, 2010, 02:49:29 am ---In open world PvP game I expect players to deliver the consequences - if someone roleplays the "raiders" then someone to roleplay the "justice". Unfortunately this has been significantly broken in last wipe - removal of shared name colorizing.

I hate that people would rather have some good vs evil & all-seeing-eye-watching-over-us system. It is fun that this universe is relativistic, where your actions mean different things to different groups (if they are seen), not unlike real world... There is no simple good or evil, no "right" and "wrong"...

I hoped the game would stay without this global karma system and with shared name colorizing, more things like the TTTLA criminal records appearing, in community form, where everyone could add their opinion on other player with some evidence (screenshot) and people would create their webs of trust, but...

If you would read the suggestion objectively, which you didn't, you'd know that it promotes what you want. You want an open world PVP where players deliver the consequences. This does that! It requires a player to have a certain level of CH to figure out if a player has bad Karma or not. After that, the player can decide what he wants to do to that player. A 1 ch player will have no idea what your Karma is, a 9 ch character will be able to read you like a book.

I think name colorization needs to be reimplemented. Not just red and green xD.
