In most cases racist are just morons who failed in real life and now have to compensate it in a game by trolling and calling other people names. And give stupid excuses. Why don't you people just stop caring about nationality of players? Seriously, WHY do you a give a **** where some player was born?

Exactly. It's not like I don't like Russians but mostly all what they can say in english is "fuck USA" or "you nazi". Anyway, insults give the game more wasteland feel. Wasteland is nothing like today's world.

You talk about players, not about their characters. It's not roleplaying but a lack of manners. How things like "I rape your mama you stupid polacke" adds to the wasteland feel? It destroys the feel completely. I wish there was more in-game wasteland "racism" - roleplaying hatred of ghouls, mutants, tribals, "people from south", anything that fits with Fallout storyline. But what you talk about is not California wasteland language, it's some social ghetto language from real XX/XXI century. So keep this talk for primitives from your real life neighborhood, don't bring it here because you don't add anything to the game that would have any meaningful value.

Are curse words hostile language? And to what degree? Should I call a GM if someone says "fuck you"?

If somebody tells me "that was so gay" does it fall under any of the above categories since it is used in an offensive way towards an act that the offender finds to resemble the behaviour of a homosexual?

How about if they use a foreign language which I dont understand but suspect they are being aggressively hostile? Shall I report them then?

Lastly, if you dont accept "our word" would a post with screenshots work? Or the only way to get an offender is if you happen to catch him on the act?

I've read all of your post carefully and I didn't understand your motivation, although I have some variants:
1) You're just one of those idiots that like opposing the society and social norms cause you like drawing attention this way (which you most likely lack in RL)
2) You're ignorant to other people and have zero history knowledge.
3) You're just bored and want to see how many posts you need to get a +% speech.

Also include there the fact that I like southpark and follow the motto that if you allow for one thing then you should allow everything. I dont suggest that there should be NO punishment for racism (though in my opinion we should involve ourselves with serious racism and not silly just talking internet racism) but that if there IS punishment for racism and foul language then it should be for everyone and not just for those we (you, me, the devs etch) like but every aspect of it.

Ghosthack is right. Let alone that we HAVE such a big thread of discussion (and it's not the first one) shows something about some individuals of our playerbase. Jovanka had some good points in her last posts, Bulldog too.

No one has something against it if you stand in Redding or wherever and tell the local sherrif "that mutants are fucking stupid", or your character doesnt want to travel to Necropolis because there are "the stinking ghouls" or such. There is no need nor a neccesarity to yell "fucking polack" "I rape your mother" and other immature shit on one each other and I think I will handle such things in the next time much harsher and will look more for that.

Those avatars are the players ingame so yes of course its directed at them/whoever, there are humans in Fallout 1 and 2, there are:

Retards, racists, genocidal maniacs etc...

So saying such vulgar words don't exist in a Wasteland as does in RL, where law is ungoverned except by whoever has a gun or knows how to use one better is completely ... hmm retarded?

BTW, notice how the devs and GMs are ignoring the constant trolling remarks of Bulldog just because "He is anti-racsist" calling people trolls and idiots and such which for anyone else would immediately be given a "Shut up or ban"  Sticker most likely.

Your lucky to have such a playerbase that wouldn't ultimately quit because of the extreme challenges as more than 90% of the at least "Generaly well-off people who can afford computers"  population are complete pussies who wouldn't last in this game for 5 minutes because of constant-death or greifing of other players or racial slurs etc....  It shows toughness, and loyalty to the game "for the most part" anyways...

For the 142948295th and LAST time: Racism playing a character in a fallout world (racism towards mutants, ghouls etc) is allowed and welcomed if played well. Don't you get that there is a difference between that thing and insulting players on a personal not in character manner?
