Trains are a good idea, but keeping stations hidden unless you talk to specific doctors is bafflingly arbitrary. How the hell could you miss a train station attached to a town? It's not a super high end gear manufacturing base you're keeping hidden from players, but basic world travel. Especially now with massively decreased map speed.

I understand why they're not revealed - "players shouldn't get anything for free", but there's not a lot of logic behind the quest path. It's like having to find out about a medical facility from the Modoc tannery. Let players see the location and then be told they need to do the quest to obtain access. Players should have to use their initiative, sure, but they shouldn't have to be psychic. Or playing with a wiki printout.

Traveling speed is almost unbearable.  You will hear a lot of arguments about realism, this game isn't supposed to be friendly, etc.  But the bottom line is it is a game and while it can't all be easy pickings, the point is to have a fun.  You can argue about traveling with a group of people or buying a car, but there are always arguments against either.  The fact is, spending 15+ mins just to walk across the map (depending on encounters and outdoorsman)  can be a little tedious.

Traveling should be faster, or other methods should be much easier accesible and much cheaper. Trains are a pain in the ass atm, buggy and you have to wait for a train. I mean why? If I wanted realism I would take a train irl like I do daily and enjoy waiting there. It's still a game, train stations are okay but you should be able to travel from there without waiting. People are saying to get other mates to help you travel, possible but to bad that they travel nearly as slow as you aswell. and encounters are riskier to.
About cars, they are way to expensive to afford alone.
and losing those keys can be pretty easy. Having friends so you can afford that car? thats always what I hear, make some friends and work together. To bad griefing in Fonline is a rather big thing, and base robberies are pretty common, what do you think is going to happen with a car?

I love the new travel speed. LOVE IT. It was great (and wasteland-harsh) to be contained to one town early in my character's life because it was too much of a risk travelling across the wasteland. Also, that town wasn't NCR.

Stop whining and learn the game.

It is still early in this wipe and it remains to be seen how the car/movement changes will effect the mid to late game, but so far it has been a blast.

As an aside, it would also be nice to get some precise numbers about how fast the base speed is in this version vs. the previous version, and how much outdoorsman/pathfinder changes the speed.

they increase it 25% each so 50% for 2x pathfinder, but since the travel speed is really slow, the increase isn't much anyway.

Ok, so suggestion here is "Now game is more annoyed and borning not more difficult."

Unless there is something concrete here that I'm missing, this suggestion is rejected.

We've decided to change speed to something close to what it was during OBT2 of pre-TLA (wasn't called that then). This is to encourage the usage of cars and also make travelling to distant places harder (if you can't do it alone, why not do it in a group?).

Respawn is also not teleporting you across the wasteland anymore, so it should overall make more sense.
