oh yes guy waiting for me in my car map. tahs awesome system thank you devs !

its been stated there is 10 mins where your car is discoverable, camp it til then or park it better.

cars are perfectly safe for small groups, i take my highwayman around solo all the time... ready to lose it if lady luck rolls a -10 my way but hey.. thats all part of the game.

Or if your a real ball buster leave a whole batallion of mercenares there on auto-attack  ;O.

3 or 4 regular cheap gun mercs with hunting rifles will absolutely pwn anyone who happens to find your car.

Exactly, the " oh shit " critical hits + range + cripples + Map Loading lag + getting shot lag + ...   ummm  = Dead  ;D.

i liked that idea about cars, very, i bought car.
i thoght it was good investment, i thought i could trade in towns easely, just going there and there X time faster.
dissapointment, 30k for so temporary thing is too much for me.
My mates were right, when they were telling to me:" Johnny,its too expensive and u gonna lose it soon, its unnecessary".

i park my highwayman at ncr frequently. the only thing that you have to watch out for is bombers and suicide gankers. otherwise you just get a bunch of jokers trying to lockpick it.

I think that fail lockpick should be treated as fail steal. If you fail lockpick you are unprotected.

Huuh.... You know that there is no location on WM for other player when you park a car anymore, right? How can this possibly be a newb trap?

He is saying about car at NCR, you just wait till someone try to lock pick it, get unprotected and then you kill him.. usually empty, so it won't affect anything.

Humn car and 4 mercs, and my small gun crafter can fight craft and have enough charisma to get more than 2 mercs.  I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the Devs were trying to slow down Alting in game.  And that's a lot of caps to possibly lose if someone smart drops in on your car.

Several things have fallen by the wayside in this game because they are expensive [temporary] investments.

Losing something in game is part of the game yes, but imagine if the dog companion cost 15k, would you buy it?  People don't buy them now with them only costing 2k.  

Those of us actually trying need to think of a way they might be able to balance this out some.  I'm still kinda fond of the 3min [hiding] idea if it has to be discoverable at all.

Price changes for sure, or some smaller jumps.

Cut lockpicking on trunks and them more, so they can be parked in towns maybe?

Ok.  Looking for anymore suggestions, ideas, pros and cons to the car situation.  I plan on compiling them by the middle of this week for a post in the Suggestions section.  So anything you got about [CARS] if you haven't posted it, or thought of something new throw it on here.

Well they even  don't  have to, this game is their, its free, they are making it in their free time, so they can do everything they want.
