Welcome,
I would like to present you with some suggestions, these may not be anything new or insightful. Although it could a little variety to gameplay in FOnline
Namely the idea of a road system between cities, but unfortunately I do not know the history of the year 2238, and connections between the cities, too well. But I hope that this is possible.
22/08/2237: Another week with high temperatures and drought which continues to plague inhabitants of NCR and Broken Hills. There is a meeting between the heads of both cities and they are there to sign a contract of co-operation. Both cities want to refresh the economy and reopen the old trade route between NCR and Broken Hills.
11/09/2238: NCR and Broken Hills' caravans start following the trade route while other cities monitor the actions of NCR and Broken Hills.
27/09/2238: At the end of the drought, the city has an annual record revenues and trade is booming.
03/10/2238: Raider attacks on the caravans begin to intensify
09/10/2238: NCR authorities agree to terminate the war with the Raiders once and for all. The NCR Rangers recruit more people willing to clean the desert of bandits.
This suggestion in theory, should:
- Create a road between the towns
- Increase the pace of travelling on the road
- Increase the chance of encountering patrols, caravans and bandits on this road.
- Decrease the chance of encountering small animals (rats, scorpions)
- On these roads you can meet traders/caravans with interesting good for sale (as in Fallout 2/TLA)
- (your sugestions)
Additional suggestions:
- An NCR Rangers Faction
- Inn location on road betwen cities
This feature could also repair the economy and make the barter skill more useful. The roads can open doors to new and interesting ideas (e.g. Inns, trade, added elements of RP as well as PvP).
It is only a general outline of the idea, I would like to know if there is sense of you working on this project and whether it is a feasible mechanic for the game.
I hope you give me feedback and share your ideas for this too.
