game is much better than a few months ago. great job was made especially on improving crafting.

What for we need gathering cooldown?
For what we need so hard to craft-so hard to lose armors?

 in post apo world you will hardly craft something better than pipe rifle.
game is much better than a few months ago. great job was made especially on improving crafting.

 you craftef weapon and what? kill centuars .. it is not so funny, do PvP? only way, because PvE is not there. this makes 2238 less entertaining than before, where at least basic PvE was implemented

Yeah and those 1000x of BAs Avengers and other shit in Player Bases are only "little" from the world ;s.
Gather Limit should be limited only to your weight :P. (Carry as much as you can)
Any Macro user could get 500 - 2000x materials of iron ore/minerals by using cheats - so why not make it balanced for "non no life" players

Calm down zubrowka, they are only discussing, and that's what forums are for: discussion. So posts like yours are not neccessary.

I agree the cooldowns should be removed and instead more rare to find materials be introduced - like finding electronic parts not by infinitely picking broken computers at special location, but finding them in city ruins like junk, but with smaller chance to find any in such encounter...
Also I would like if the encounters would vary a bit more - for example you can be lucky and find an old power station where you can get some otherwise hard to get materials...

And PvE everywhere, getting materials by only clicking on something with help your mouse isn't exciting. I mean, junk should be only on encounters+critters, the same as other materials. Ore and Minerals in caves with critters on encounters too, if there's no critters, then no resources too.
The problem is:
[Alot whining bluesuiters]: We're dying 50 times per day! I playing this game 3 days and can't get any weapon in my hands, because I always dying! AAAHH!!! Critters in caves with ore and minerals will kill us and we'll always walk in bluesuit with bare hands and always dying!
Probably with more quests implemented it'll be much more easier. It's not that hard get shotgun from Metzger and 10mm Pistol from guard and jacket from Buster and mauser from Wrigh family, but it's not enough probably...

1) This is wasteland, not sims
 2) Fonline was even more hardcore than it is
 3) If you have problem with PK at this stage of era, i can tell you, that Fonline is not for you. All organized PvP gangs (PK or anti PK) are not active. So you can go to cities with more than ever possibility to survive.
 4) People should think, not rely on some mechanism that will helps only one sort of people.
 a) use town preview
 b) never use main entrance even if it looks safe (majority of PK wait there)
 c) PKs are mostly active in groups, if you see one, anticipate at least another one, if you see one in CA, anticipade whole group
 d) PKs concentrate in locations/cities or city locations, where  HQ minerals, or goods stuff traders/drug dealers are => they need this .. if you dont need anything of this to your roleplay, you can safely play this game with limited possibility of being killed by PK (NCR, HUB, Junktown, San Fran,..) = mostly safe cities  X New Reno = legitime PvP arena, dont forget this
 e) arm yourself: use the best possible equip if you are even in safe locations and on world map, but if you are not lvl 21, do opposite, many of PKs will not kill you, if you are in bluesuit, but you have to be smart and quick
 f) group your self with another players if you want to get resources, drugs, at least temporary for that action
 g) make frriends with anti PK behaviour players
 h) after TC battles, there is mostly clean "window" of non PK activity, because of drug after effects => but not promptly (post battle sneakers looting activity) .. cca 5 minutes after end, but only if anti PK faction won
 i) use brain, you will 100 percently find another way how to win over PK without single shot
-------------------------> the wasteland is core enviroment and need to think makes this game very entertaining
 5) you suggest karma system that is obsolete.
 a) you use terms of PK and non PK, but life in wasteland is more variable: we have friends, we have enemies and we are not PK, we are anti PK gang.. but your karma syste will eliminate this
 b) your karma system will help only you (or your sort of players), there are others. Even if you are not PK, you have reason to kill somebody, even he have good karma: he is traitor from your base and he stole your stuff, he is member of pk gang (i.e. trader), but he has good karma, he killed you before and you want revenge,.....

 6) Your karma system integration would CURE ONLY SYPMTOMS, not heal the problem of PK. People PK too much (not now of course, server is dead), because they dont have any other opportunities to do. There is not PvE, there is not scavenging, there are not quests you can do after 2 days of adventure.

ALL WRONG.

2) Fallout is a HARDCORE RPG, not QUAKE.
3) If you have problem with points 1 and 2, there are always COD UT3 QUAKE ecc ecc. Actually the pvp here is ONLY AN FRAG OVER FRAG and nothing.
4) PVP is not balance. The PKs have not serious consequences. They can do whatever the hell they want when and where they want without negative consequences.
5) karma system is a good idea
6) Ykarma system integration is FIRST STEP TO CURE the problem. People PK too much, because FOnline have not nothing of the rpg spirit of fallout and the server is full of Quakers, lamer, dumbaby, because there are no malus and negative consequences for those who take the path of the PK and thief.

7) Alternatives pg ruins gameplay, economy and game.

May I ask you how it'll work?
If it'll work like in other MMORPG, where you getting red name, and poor PKers are killed on sight, then it's the worst idea ever for Fallout.
Karma system is automatic adding/giving points to your karma by some actions, these actions can be abused.
Namecolorizing is your karma system.

add quake: if i die in quake (or TF2,..), i will respawn in 5-10 seconds and i can instantly continue, if i die in fonline, i need cca 10 minutes until i get to base, erase weak and reequip => consequence
 * you cant die in many places in fonline, where every neccesary items are, if you dont like dying, dont go to PvP cities then. you have no duty, except five times per era (quests for profession). You dont get, that there are 2 zones in Fonline, one for pacifist players, one for PvP (north cities)? And i have to sadly repeat, in the north cities, there is anything to do, except few quests and PVP.
 * karma system is bad idea (heh, thats reasoning :) )
 * people dont know what to do, so they kill players.. if there would be more quests, group PvE (players attacking NPC raiders base, enclave base,...), they will have not time for as long is day staying near mines and kill everyone. this will naturaly cure the problem

 I am member of anti PK gang. We are anti PK for 4 eras. We had often guard mines so noobs had their chance to mine there, we always help nebies with basic gear, if we had opportunity,... =. This is our roleplay. If you will (miracly) cure the PK element, you will destroy our only roleplay we have.

 There were cca 40 anti PK players (before TLA start and BAN) grouped in one alliance. You can create your own, or you can join existing one. At this moment, we are not active, because we are on TLA. So except few PKs, every PvP (PK or anti PK) organized player, is not in the game, so i dont understand where do you see any problem? You want to tell us that even in those condition you are unable to survive in wasteland? Thats sad.

I would be happy with that.

but truly if a blood thirsty murderer who kills for no reason enters a city like the hub they should be arrested or shot on sight. thus the karma system.

@ gizmo, even though there is only about 300 people online people below level 21 find it difficult to survive even a few rats or bugs so maybe you should grow up a bit not everyone is a lvl 21 anti pker in some huge alliance.

 There already was invincible time for some time, but it was bad idea because of exploits and abusing it. Why? Enemy entered location and we did not know when to start shoot because of timer of that protection. It was annoying.. enterl/leave city again and again, it looks very syntetic.

 So devs had change their aproach of anti pk protection: no miracle invincibility, but many small feautures that if you use smart, you have better chance to survive (another entrances, town preview,..). And it works well, just use your brain for christ. Of course you dont have 100 percent prob you will survive = wasteland.

 Hub is protected city (most of its parts) like NCR, junktown, San Fran, Boneyard.. not enough to buy/sell stuff until lvl 21?

 Survive to PK attacks, better chance or even chance to get to north cities is one of few challenging elements in Fonline, and with your aproach you will erase it.

 Alliances: go and make contact with them, try to get under theit protection or pay them for that, if you want to mine = roleplay
