I keep getting errors even when logged in with the leader.
"Records are read-only".
I cant even find the expel option anymore.

With the leader access to the base terminal, manage members, brownse members list, next until the guy you want to expel, expel.
Only the leader may expel someone , I think.

Also you need to kill that guy at base, so he couldn't see it anymore after expeling.

Ya, i didn't know you have to kill the dude at the base.
Seems a bit difficult to get a known traitor at the base, alone, and kill him.
Basically we need to get a new base now

Don't bring him to your base, he can get there himself.
Just put there mercs. A lot mercs... ;p

Will rebuying the base, after expelling the member, make the location of the base disappear to him?

The only way to make base disappear for someone is to make him dead there as him being non-member of that faction.

There is other way if You are leader - You can buy new base.
