Those sneaky bastards. Always leaving the best fun for themselves.

Now they can be sure that they will get an extra portion of lead for their bloody picnic

Pray they don't get the idea of getting unionized...

You encounter: Mercenaries and Raiders.

Player: "WTF? Why can't I move?"

Random NPC: "10 minute break mandated by our union contract."

And if they start to include insurance in their hiring prices...

One day. One day without this type of experience. Is it so much to ask for?

You encounter: Broderhood patrol and Geckos.

Broderhood paladin1: Phear my Minigun! *Whirrrrr!*

Little Gecko was hit for 95 hit points and was killed.
Little Gecko was hit for 17 hit points.
Little Gecko was hit for 92 hit points and was killed.

Broderhood paladin2: Woo-hoo! Peace through superior firepower! *Whirrrrr!*

Little Gecko was hit for 29 hit points.
You were hit for 51 hit points and were killed.
Little Gecko was hit for 76 hit points and was killed.
Little Gecko was hit for 79 hit points and was killed.

Broderhood paladin2: ... whoops.

Broderhood paladin1: I think it's best if we don't report this. You know. Shit happens.

The Chosen One [from the great beyond]: Indeed.

Hakunin: Chosen One.

The Chosen One: Oh, piss off.

Hakunin: Choooseeen Ooooneee. Heh Heh Heh.

The Chosen One: Bloody old geezer.

Log in. On account of losing crap to Brotherhood patrol last night, go on a junk-collecting run.

Encounter brahmin. Figure the hides would cover some new equipment. After all, it's easy. Punch, run away, suffer no damage. Right?

Critical miss. Get knocked down, knocked (edit! duh!) out, and savaged to death by the brahmin.

My abdomen now hurts, goddamnit. And still getting tears in eyes.

I blame it on GM abuse.

Yeah, they can control these smart exploitable animals.
Once my HtHer was blocked my a brahmin at a building only because I was scaring people and shouting crazy phrases and act myself very unadequate.
I tryed to push a brahmin, but nothing happened, then I shouted "GM ABUUSSEE!!11" and killed poor brahmin with 2 punches in the head.

"In Chosen land, brahmin kill you!"

Sad, but true.

You mean something like this (breaking news! - jumping Buddha on a fucking pogo stick, today is not my day, and that's saying a lot considering past experience):

I just managed to get some gear.

Do those BoS tincap pricks even bother to aim?

I'm at 0 rep with them, by the way... which just might change.

Edit: Just to support my claim of the failure of BoS training system, here's a quickie visual presentation:

The gunner was aligned with the arrow line. The spread seems to be about 8 hexes or so. Happened before I could even react (turn-based combat).

That is not an accident, I tell you.

He also ran up to me after combat to pour another burst into the cooling body. Then looted the carcass.

Who implemented AI routines that learn from players?!

Notice the gecko ducking next to you? You got hit by the bullet going for him.

Nope, Gecko second combat round, that's the survivor. I think it's the one that got hit for 5 hit points. He was stationed behind the one that got shot at. The one on the ground that got killed next to me was actually shot by the second BoS guy after I already went down... It's the 92 points hit in the log. With that shot, of course, they did not hit me. Hah.

Guess it was unavoidable in either case. It's a conspiracy!

To clarify - the log is actually after I got moved to respawn location, the 17 hit points attack by a BoS came when he ran up to me after the actual situation screen shot was taken.  :)

Actually taking time away from laughing to study the evidence, you are likely correct. My recollection of the events is clearly at fault (the Gecko dead on the ground in the screenie could not have been shot later since that would leave still one standing after the BoS fed me final burst and that did not happen). I would have sworn that I saw only the indicated critter get hit and not one near me when I got KOd, but clearly I was not paying attention to the details as much as I thought when it happened (after it happened definitely not  ;D)

Curses on you! Stop spoiling my amusement with your stupid little facts!
