Thieves

Am I just unlucky or are there more thieves lately. A guy named Mr.Charisma took my shotgun shells after crafting and then murdered me. And another guy stole my gunpowder all in the same 15 minute period. I've never been targeted for theft before so it seems a little weird.

It seemed even weirder this all happened at ncr

and one way to stop thiefs is to store all your things you dont want to lose in your tent (duh)
and if your reeealy need to take somthing with you, at most take 1 or 2 things with you, and make sure you carry them in your hands, slot 2 would be better incase they have the awareness perk and may try to attack you for some it

After I had made the shells I tried selling them to the nearby bar, that's when they got stolen. I get a message about a failed stealing attempt but I was still missing my shotgun shells.
   I was murdered by him when I followed him and he was at the locker room area of the crafting house. He kept me in a near death state for awhile until my poison killed me, it really sucked.

Pics of didn't happen. Only crime that you described was that the dude held you under zero health. And even then you can ~cuttheveins.

Now that the subject is thieves, let's talk about them.
A thief stole my grease gun and shot me with it. The guards didn't react but when I shot back they shot me once, but only once. I'd like to know why didn't they shoot the dude who shot me and why did they shoot me when returning fire. And why did they shoot only once. My reputation was +500.

How is the only crime i described holding me under 0 health. Is murdering and thieving allowed in towns now?

screenshots don't work for me on fallout online(The picture is all black and with random trash pixels mixed in, not that i would know how to show you I went to  a bar with shot gun shells and I couldn't see someone lift them as a trade screen was up and i was scrolling through his wares.

I'm level 3 and I made the shotgun and the shells to use. If he stole my ammo I can't really do much to fight him back can I?
      When he attacked me is he supposed to be tagged cause he wasn't.  I had two rounds in my gun and he had more health then it's burst would of done damage. He was kind enough to leave my worthless sledgehammer, so I didn't have to make a new one.

(Why do i need to kill myself so he can take the rest of my items, that hardly seems like a good system. At that point the wasteland isn't harsh, it's mildly retarded.)
