How to recruit good players to a gang?

I went the "trust no one" route last build and had a base to myself, got boring fast though.

What really sucks, when you come to your base and there are few guys, who took your stuff and kill on sight everybody coming.

so how do you do it then ? i can screen players for weeks and do invites only but arg if u can pull it off your gang is eighter huge or u just find some good members lol by chance
i suppose i just won't let the newcomers use my depot it'l b for lts and gens only the rest of em get a free tent lol placed around the depot
