I had the common problem that I could do anything but start the game.  However, I also couldn't uninstall the game.  I have no idea where the files are saved (they aren't in the folder I told the downloader to save them to), and when I tried to re-download the client it just opened up the launcher again with the same problems.

Did you install to program files? That can cause problems and was the first thing I did. Now I've installed to desktop but... I can't find any Updater or .exe files to run no matter how many times I reinstall. Just .dats and .cfgs I can't do anything with.

The same for me. When I update A file called Client_parameters.dll cant be saved.

Hy.
Im new on this forum.
My friend told me that this is an awesome game so i would like to play it!
I instaled everything.Got the game from gog.com and offline it works but when i hit play in FO i get a screen (something like pop-up) and after 1 sec it dissappears.
I linked master.dat and critter.dat with the original game.Updated it (i had some problems with unable to save file update complete but then i made a folder scripts and now it is all fine)!
My graphic card is Radeon HD 5850 and it is updated to the latest version!
What coul be the problem?

God, it's so easy. Just find your fonline folder, then go to data and create folder "scripts" - and then update.

My problem is grey window (my driver's okay - but i have old mobility radeon 7500)

I searched for a solution but didn't find it.

At first i had next problem.

IMPORTANT:
Run the updater to receive new files and delete the file named 94.23.237.127.2238.cache in the data folder.
In the FOnline.cfg file, find the line "PatchDatPath=fonline.dat" and change it to "PatchDatPath=faction.zip".
DAT files entered deprecation stage, whenever a .zip file with the same name is downloaded, the corresponding .dat can be deleted. In addition, fonline.dat is deprecated.

1. I deleted 94.23.237.127.2238.cache
2. Changed PatchDatPath=fonline.dat to "PatchDatPath=faction.zip
3. Launched the game then it crashed
4. Checked the log and found http://pastebin.com/P846CyUi

My Fallout 2 game works fine. I think that i have no problems with my hardware. I launched the client before the update and the client started!!!
I m using windows 7, may be the problem in it.  
Wut can i do with this shi~? Guys, please help me.

I have a script error on Registration.
I can't write the name of my character and change age.

things i would try :

-uninstall and make fresh install and update of fonline client in C:/Fonline
-put master.dat and critter.dat in fonline folder

if that fails :

-try different compatibiliy modes on exe
or
-delete cache files and retry

the uninstall worked for me once.

i took the advice and i downloaded new drivers (graphic card: nvidia geforce 8800gt), but this problem still remains, i cant launch the game, what could be wrong? i already reinstalled client and Fallout 2..
oh sorry when i hit the play button in the launcher
i edit the original to this PatchDatPath=faction.zip and theres picture in the gray window but then it crashes

 Lol, i just got this problem these times. Go to Data and create the Script file yourself. Like this ;

 data/scripts

Then, upload again, and now should work. If it work, comeback here and say so, right ?

I got the Grey Screen problem i got im running a NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250, i`ve just update the Drivers but the problem continues

I tried to reinstall the game but didnt help.

Ive played the game before, but since the newest patches that i got this problem

I did the FOnline.CFG but didnt help
