Traveling
« on: December 30, 2009, 04:47:01 pm »

Im a bit curious about traveling on the world map.

I kinda got the ideea that I have to travel from small green "bubble-to-bubble" until I reach my destination..

But sometimes as soon as i get out of town, i get the lightning symbol and end up dying with some animals or shit.

Any help please?

Could someone explain the whole traveling?

PS: i've read the manual about it but no such info

I don't understand, what is your question ?
Anyway, you can make encounters everywhere on the world map, except on official locations green circles (or bubbles, if you say they are bubbles =p). It means you can't meet random encounters while above a town, a location like Ares Military Base, Ghost Farm, etc.
You can make encounters above caravans, though (Most of the little green circles are caravans).

Wait, so when im traveling and get that red thunder sign, it means i've encountered "something" right?

and if not, I just walk without a problem?

Yeah, that's the way it works. If you want to avoid those little thunder signs (Random encounter sign), just raise your Outdoorsman skill. 150% shall be enough to avoid all of them.

Actually you can get into an encounter when above a location. I've gotten attacked while within the circle above new reno and my own base.

U can get an encounter over player made locations, such as caravans, tents and even bases, but over cities its probably lag.
