I guess you will se 3d models of players and weapons when they will be done and tested. Not faster for sure.

Now saturday will be a merry day in NCR for sure XD

Remember that after weapons we need to make:
-models + animations for missing critters
-special death animations and missing one for PC's
-models/textures for armors/helmets
-Particle effects
(Explosions/flying rockets/plasma or something like that - provided that devs want to change it)

Even if we manage to finish weapons in 2-3 weeks(It is possible with so many helping people :D) - we need to wait for basic armor/player/player head model to start making clothes + critters based on it.

Making animations is only for specialists in this field. I don't know if we have any suitable people. Learning this stuff takes some time so I bet that 3d PC's will see the sunlight in aprox 4-6months ;) And it's very optimistic view!

yeah well thats assuming some of the models dont get redone and what not. looking at the 3d model progress some models are obviously way better in quality than other ones, granted im not knocking anyones skills because im not contributing but hopefully the bad ones (i think people can tell for themselves) get redone by someone who knows how to skin something and make it look like it isnt a holdover from golden eye on the 64.

If they do a new vidéo they will lose time for making 3d design so I prefer to not have video :D

5 min or less would do :P just open up the program and spawn some critters - takes like maybe 10 min total maybe. Then upload to youtube takes some time but you dont have to sit and watch it, upload while eating dinner :P, they dont even have to talk in the vid.

What about the female animations?
The VanBuren female model still has a posture of a bodybuilder.

Hey Devs guys I have a question. Could tell Us when exactly wipe will be? And when we can start to play as well? It will be the sundey or monday like Lexx said? Or it will be dalayed? I am not angry if anyone of you could think, it's just pure curious.

Totally respect your work guys, greetings.

With this wipe, we will only include the few animal 3d models we have. Nothing more. Player 3d models will be deactivated for this time. We said this in the news and in the third dev video.
It'll be on sunday or monday...
You'll use the same player skin as now.
You'll see only 3D mobs.
Later with a time players/critters/items will be changed into 3D.
Date when everything will be completed: Unknown.

(these questions are quite related, since if you wont be able to remake look of your character, how you will be able to add player 3d looks without wipe?, so im wondering if we wont have 2 wipes in short time)
It is possible. Anyway, here's your answer:

Van buren never had any completed female models from what i saw of the tech demo.

I just hope that bluesuits will be the default option and not topless people in their underwear...

Tribals would be best =)

But yes, i sure hope we will see no naked morons running around the wasteland. Trolls got enough food as is. But I'd be calm on that one - devs ain't any Bethe.. I mean, they are no noobs.

Still, having a topless option is good. Just think of the "RP" possibilities - "heathen, display thy breasts or begone!" in a crafter-meets-a-gang situation would be awesome ;D

On a more serious note - I think it's neither good nor bad. It just makes the "tribal" option a bit more "bare and basic".
