Keep in mind, FOnline is not Fallout 2. We use a completely different engine that just looks and feels like Fallout 1 / 2.

Like written in the newspost, the first wave of 3d models will be some animals, which come with the next wipe. With them, we will test how it runs for everybody and fix bugs, etc. After this and when human characters are ready (more weapon models and armors, etc.), they will be introduced. This is depending on how fast we can recreate the missing content.

You are wrong, sir. FOnline is independent engine, made from scratch. It only uses mechanics (SPECIAL/turn-based combat etc.) and graphics which were used in fallout 2. Everything else was made from absolutely-nothing.

Gee, this new update looks great. Using the Van Buren player models is an excellent idea. Too bad Van Buren never got too far though :(.

You mean you wipe the server put some 3d animals into the game then you test for bugs.... and some weaks/month later wipe again to put 3d models for players and weapons ?

At the moment i dont want play because i know in 1-2 weeks i begin from 0 after wipe and if the wipe again for new things in a short time i dont play only to see some 3 d cows.... make all in 1 and hope it works.... but please dont wipe the server for every single shit 3d model :(

So far we wiped only two times... in 8 months. I wouldn't say that this is a bad value.

Also we don't have to wipe the server for every 3d model. From where comes this rumor?

A wipe is needed, if we add 3d models or not, it doesn't matter.

Besides those toads and player models being 3d, is anything else gonna be 3d?

The world will remain 2D, only creatures (including humans and players) and items (weapons, materials) will be in 3D. I wonder if Computers which can't run 3D stuff well, will there be an option to switch back to 2D?
