I am new to fonline, & like the idea of building a sniper character for PvP.

I currently have x1 level 24char sniper build designed for the sniper rifle (14AP+BRoF), allowing for x2 aimed shots to eyes. I am wondering how do such snipers compare to energy using snipers (assuming both are build optimaly/player skills not a factor).

 Any feedback on this matter would be appreciated. I've added a poll just for curiosity. (=^_^=)

In a situation where both opponents are seeing each other and at range, energy.

SG sniper has the advantage of bigger range and that bullets don't leave a trace

haha i just had a 1 vs 1 with an energy sniper, he got it up his ass with a hunting

That usually isn't the case. There's a reason all the big factions only use laser rifles and various BG (rocket launchers or M60s). They're the best weapons in the game and there's really no reason to use anything else.

I prefer energy weapons mostly because of the pew pew noises.
Snipers have a better range (but how often do you operate at max range?) snipers also require drugs to achieve double aimed shot whereas a laser rifle does not.
