They warn you and then they shoot you unless you do it quickly, and even shoot you sometimes if you are very quick. The higher your Steal skill is, apparently the better for you, but yes, they warn you and you have a narrow window of opportunity to hurry up. I did this last year and to me it seems about the same but i hear it is a little tougher this year. I guess it is.

so the old "join enclave, rob patrols" doesn't work anymore? Back in the day joining npc faction made them ignore you standing next to them.

How is it abuse? There has to be some point in making a theif. You spend the time to level a character to do a certian purpose and its abuse? I do not get you people I swear "doing this so and so with a so and so type character needs to be nerfed" Then some how somebody makes a post that sounds intellegant and convincing and it ruins the entire game for us who enjoy what we do to get items. What the fuck is wrong with you people are you sick in the head? Why do you want a super hard game with no rewards? I swear its the "the game should be realistic and hard and there should be this and that and nobody should have any carpets of gear and we should all be fighting blue suit with shotguns becuase I don't have the uber brotherhood armor and avenger and I die bullshit." Thank you Mr and Mrs. I want a realistic overly difficult game that should have no rewards in doing anything that cuts some players some slack for giving us this shitty session.

As for the advanced work benches and the med terminal being moved to necropolis what is the point of these random changes, ideas and nerfs they have included this session?

Serious clown, I'm all in support of stealing. And I think many of the posters support stealing too and they didn't mean to call it abuse. The topic isn't to nerf stealing but to improve crafting because right now stealing is much easier than crafting.

How is it abuse?

Because it's something devs don't want us to do?

Every time you do something ingame, you should have the following point of view in your mind: "If I were to design a game, would I want players to play it like this?". So if you designed a game based on fallout do you think that players should get their superstimpaks and 5mm ap ammo by joining BOS and stealing from them while getting bursted every now and then but still coming back?

If your answer is yes, then we have a differend opinion about what fallout-based mmo should be like. This is a matter of immersion.

yes all this is true but a online game cant be all crafting. shit it takes forever to get enough mats for ss for 1 battle.
we are here for fun not to craft all day and night just to go into 1 battle lose it all and then repeat.  1 day of farming should = 1 week of fun.

Agreed on that. Crafting can't be fun for everyone, but it can be at least somewhat tolerable. For example crafting flamer fuel isn't that bad. Why not aply the same logic to superstims?

At the moment manufacture practically all drugs not rationally: Extraction of components is not infinite, but On 1 buffout, for example,is required 5 Chem. Comp.
It is much easier to extract money (Commerce in slaves or other method) or stuff and buying it: Easier and safely. (craft on bases is very unsafe)
However drugs even operate 30-60 minutes. But SS are spent at once and are required in lots. For a SS the maximum 1 component should be required, for usual stimulators it is better more flowers and xander r., but not CC and Bio Med gel.

Stealing is a bit absurd because it requires making an alt for the sole purpose of robbing encounters of loot. The alt is useless for anything that has to do with real gameplay and if they made it so enclave and such weren't buffed to ridiculous levels you could get that gear by killing them with your real char.

Yes because that is what makes this game unique as opposed to playing some shitty mainstream mmo where the theif is a gay elf back stabbing people with a dagger, and are too pussy to implament a thing such as "drug crafting" because its politically incorrect.

This is a mod for fallout2 and its kind of its own game than sticking to being a fallout mmo co-op. I put this game in the mindset that its a mod, and mods generally have features that change the gameplay of the original game. Trust me if there was a better english server that stuck to more of what "fallout 1/2 mmo should be" I would be playing that instead.

They are called the brotherhood of steal for a reason. But the idea that bos stealing should be changed nerfed or removed for whatever reason would piss me off and make me not want to play this game ever agian. That is why I reacted and wrote what I did when somebody said it was abuse.

Not all of us like to craft and blue print hunt so we have other alternatives to get our gear drugs and super stims. And making a theif is that alternative.

But to the original topic, last wipe I actually enjoyed crafting all my drugs and super stims and I agree that the current system is kind of shitty for drug crafting, going to some pk friendly area to craft, going to get the needles in reno then go to san fran or vc and get gels and then spend an hour gathering flowers then have to travel to necropolis I agree it is shit.

Last session crafting was great. I notice some people that like the BP implementation do to not want people to have 100's of CA/rifles/drugs/etc.

Lets think really hard about this ok.

Last session I take the time to get all the mats/craft/wait for cool downs etc. I only ever owned so many CA last session and losing them sucked since it took a little bit to get them.

Now I can get ca from hub patrols and even though they are not 100% durability that's OK because I like to PVP and there is a good chance I will get ganked so I didn't lose pristine armor, I lost crappy armor.

So now I have TONS of CA that are expendable. Thanks to this new horrible crafting system I will no longer take my time to craft I will hunt for them. And I also steal from npcs because of this.

You need to change the crafting system it's absolutely ridiculous.
