how often does it actually help you find stuff

it does not say in the wiki,

also why would anyone bother with scouts or buggies, they are the same price as hummer, and highway man according to wiki, but maybe thats not the case in the game.

highway man is second fastest next to cockroach. fuel consumption is i think 1 for every 2 hexs.
for prices just go to reno and check yourself.

I have a question about the profession Armorer lvl. 3. I have Armorer 1 & 2 (and no more professions), str 8 and 4500 caps in my inventory. When I speak with BoS armorer about training my char says that hes not ready yet. Anyone got any ideas?

MrSarcastic, there are only two levels of each profession now. Instead of level 3 there are now blueprints.

So the dialog in BoS is only a vestige of a previous way to obtain CA mk2 and BoS CA? This makes joining BoS completely pointless. That sucks man.

As for your problem - well, it happened to me several times too. It helps to log in with another char, then wait to full 3 min log off. It registers different char under your IP address.

The highwayman seems like the best vehicle to me; it's better in terms of fuel consumption, durability, and speed than the hummer (which is a fine vehicle in its own right). Both are usually priced around 10k.
