There's a difference between "I bring my hired guns to protect me while I'm going to the town" and "lol, let's gridcamp the shit ouf ot that map because we're bored. xD" The latter is a bannable offense, the former not.

A group calling themselves "section 8" are griefing the Hub right now.

First they camped with what looked like 20-30 mercs at the spawn killing the guards and anyone that entered.

When I came back all the mercs were dead but now they were killing the guards and suicide bombing everyone else.

what you call mercs were obviously hub's reinforcment script kicking in like it's supposed to when guards die.

That's for GM's to decide. But don't worry, they need to see it for themselves so If you don't do that again there's no negative consequences of this event.

What it can do however is inform a overzealous gm with a bad day and lots of spare time.

Using mercs is NOT an abuse, and should NOT be bannable. There use to be a bug that made players crash on load with mercs, this is no longer the case!  So let me get this straight.... You think bringing mercs to new reno on kill is an abuse!?!? Exactly what is it abusing?

I assumed you were a noob, because you got on here and started crying like one. You don't see the guy that lost his mutants crying on here, and screaming abuse, do you? Take it like a man!

Most of the players already know S8, gm's too. We are known for bringing dark days over new players but we only do that for toughing your characters. We are here to make you better than you are, that is our only goal.

So killing players in unguarded town as soon as they appear isn't ok, but doing it in guarded is fine?

Iam not defending these guy,s - but they are right.
These times are about beta-tests and we all need to do some "not clear" job, and need to find ALL bugs.
Anyway if they are killing poor bluenewbies, they do it for lulz  - and also they will find new bugs.

Nothing wrong with griefing guarded towns- if you can beat the guards its all part of the game.

I think... not only there are not any 100% safe places in game, but i am really against creating that kind of places (in game mechanics) ever.
