Rezzing Teammates
« on: June 07, 2011, 06:24:46 pm »

Ok, some time ago i was scavenging with some other players, when i was killed by a raider.
Even if i was under -20 HP, dont you think that i deserved a chance of survival?
I think that a medic sohuld be able to, using Doctor skill, take a dead teammate back on his foot, or atleast to bring him away.
I think that this will also increase cooperation between players.

It would rather be raising the limit between unconsciousness and death.

Hold E button to revive your teammate   ::)

P.S. why not make limit from -20 to -4000?

Definitely only if the last strike was not critical (or the enemy has Bloody Mess trait), the damage doesn't make your health go over -40 and your savior has, lets say, a doctor bag. Otherwise - lack of sense and makes groups even more in-destructible.

Well, lets say that the limit is -40, so if you dont die for a minigun burst in the brain you still have a chance of coming back to the field.

Dying at -40 instead of -20, maybe.

Being brough back to life once dead, no way. This is not a fantasy game.

think in this better if you set the inconsiusness level to low you will never see the dead animations.

-20 is good for me. but there must be a new item the DESFIBRILATOR with enough doctor and this 3tier craftable item youll be able to take your comrades from the abyss of dead. BUT if your comrade blow in pieces, get halfcuted, burned to dead, melted or something you will not be able to revive him. this way we will have a new use of Bloody Mess, and a new use of Doctor

I think -20 is already too much.

Wow, this is actually a really, really really good idea.  You gotta get to your comrade before he respawns if he doesn't have the really bad death animations...  and if you managed to kill the guy where he is you gotta be lucky as hell to not die from trying to defib him...  and it might apply covering fire tactics considering.

Yes, I thought so too. Was actually quite a bit surprised seeing the name of the poster. :P Put it in a well written suggestion in a seperate thread.

Yep, I like Reintat's idea. But as for the -20 HP thing, I think Solar has a perk planned to make it so you have more HP to go down to. I'm not sure if it will be one of the 8 combat lvl perks, or a perk via quest, though. If it's a perk by level, I doubt anyone will take it.

Agreed, maybe it can be an implant from a scientist/doctor that allows your body to go to the limit in injuries.  (Clearly obtained through a very hard, and violent quest.  Considering extra -HP is clearly a combat perk)

It would rather encourage staying on one character during a fight, instead of instantly switching to the next alt. It would encourage (with the upcoming new perks) to play pure medic characters as well. I don't see a bad thing here to be honest, and I am sure people who like to PvP would like it a lot.
