The campfires will obviously be there after the wipe, so no actual existing tent maps will need to get regenned.

I liked this auto-doc console mentioning!  Also yeah, I look forward to revamped tents too. They aren't supposed to replace bases, though but hopefully fill that little niche that people have for more than a crappy cache tent.

I have to quote Wipe:
With full workbenches in tents, there would be even less players in towns.

Anyway, good thing to hear some news about development!  :-*

Yes but there are no avaible faction names, ergo bases, anymore. So loners or guys not in a faction still have to go to town.
base workbenches are the sole reason why there is mass produced stuff, but if there wouldn't be any base workbenches we would have rage about loosing your brahmin with 10000 ores on the way to the city and so on.

Its probably best to wait to actually see the system before whining. There are only so many hours in the day and I don't want to waste them placating people talking rubbish about things they don't understand.

If the autodoc becomes available for purchase, how about having to recharge it with super stims and MFC from time to time? To me it sounds logical that it needs power (MFC) to operate and has a limited supply of healing chems. Or perhaps it should only be availabe for bases. I mean, a lone autodoc sitting in a tent in the middle of the wasteland sounds a little odd. Or maybe a single player should be allowed to buy an autodoc if he/she has built a house. In another thread someone suggested that players could build a shack or even a house and having an autodoc inside a house doesn't sound that ridiculous. And of course there will have to be some requirements, maybe sufficient IN / CH + doctor / barter / speech skill check to be able to convince a doctor to sell an extra autodoc for a hefty price. Or maybe it could become available for purchase after completing a quest.

Thankfully I've made my autodoc work with solar power! Although when it rains it might break.
