Author Topic: I was randomly teleported to a jail cell. Is this a form of ban?  (Read 1968 times)

I was at the NCR and I was teleported to a jail cell place. Is this like a ban.
I was screaming random stuff before this happened.

Well, depends.  Server could crash and you'll be free, depending on whether the person who banned you does or does not remember to put you back :>

I highly doubt it's permanent.

Mostly jails get cleared each few days. So no, it is not forever. Just think about why you landed up there. :)

"screaming random stuff" it sounds very undefined. Surf can you post the rules about it, or show were they are, please?. because i normally scream stuff in NCR, its not spam but i want to be sure.

- Spamming or making in-game chat unreadable.

There's a thin line between just "being a bit annoying, but yet being part of the game" or spamming "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" or similar stuff on purpose to annoy others constantly ingame. If you spam, you get jailed. Jailings usually don't take more then a few days, especially if server restarts are inbetween.

Not much to say... Your Client Get's blocked for other Characters (You can only log in the jailed character)

I usually send people to the glow, which has an actual downside now that rads don't magically flutter away upon death. Though I do give cookies for good sportsmanship, too.

I really wish there was more of a warning.
Oh well, since I have nothing to do, I guess I'll rot away while I wait to get unjailed.
I mean, um
Do something else

Here's your warning.  Don't be a noob in town!!!  Think about it, if you're doing something retarded just for lulz it's probably against the rules.  If not it's in the least maybe detrimental to the testing process of the game which that in itself is in fact against the rules.

The chance of a GM to be online is directly proportional of the importance of your message.
corollaries
1.If you need the help of a GM, there is less likely for one to be online.
2.If you want to abuse the +requesthelp command, the more likely a GM will be online.
