Solo player bases
« on: April 15, 2011, 07:54:01 pm »

Couldn't find a topic for this so here it goes.

I think solo players should be able to have more than just a tent. It's not like we don't have solo preppers in real life out there with one man bunkers.

I think there should be an option for someone who doesn't want to be in a gang to buy a very small bunker/house. I remember a while back when there was that special encounter where you come across a single man bunker with some loot inside it. It would have been great if I could just have kept the place and made it my own lol.

It would be lame to have to take a gang name if you're just one person. why not let solo players just buy a base without taking a gang name. Maybe, if it's possible, you can stake a claim to a small base/house in a special/random encounter and use it. Not sure how that would be implemented but it would be interesting.

I'm sure everyone knows the whole base system needs an overhaul hopefully this will be addressed after the next wipe.

Because you're only one person and gang names go fast. A lot of people complain about not having enough names. Imagine everyone who is solo taking a name off the list, there would be none left.

I bet half of the bases (and shared tents) out there are made for/by one player (multilogged or with letting other people play their chars - whatever) as a place to transfer loot from crafting to combat alts. It looks like its a encouraged way of playing, a feature. So why not make it legitimate? Why force people to cheat the system and bypass the restrictions?

i think this is very great idea. Somekinda base without name needed where you could add your alts so they could see it still :>

I understand that new names will be added. Think about the effect of every single person using a solo character and nabbing a gang name that would only benefit one person not groups of people. As this game goes on more people play it.

I just think Tier 3 bases should be allowed through purchase or through quests and some how find a way to link them to your other characters.

With the gang names come perks like, town control and bigger bases. I'm only talking about solo players which there are many out there.
