What's going on with the flamer damage?

It says 30-90 and yet I rarely do more than 30. Considering the high cost and low range of the weapon and ammo it shouldn't be so weak. Also deathclaws are supposed to be weak to fire not resistant to it.

Flamer does 30-60 in FOnline, rather than 45-90 in original fallouts. The ammo also bestows an additional 25% DR against fire to your opponent(s). Funny how you should say the flamer is expensive; as a big gun it is by far the cheapest and easiest to make and it was balanced accordingly.

This is why I have so many unarmed/fa/doc builds. Using items in fonline is such a massive pain in the ass because it eats up all your time.

actually i think flamer does super damage as your first weapon. It does a nice cone , hits for around 30 dam , only real downside is low range but at start you dont realy ahve the skill to hit targets realy far away. compared to other guns you realy need some tier pisols to be able to deal same daamge (pistols mostly do around 20  on same targets - jsut less ap needed.

I would say flamer is totaly fine but ... - 10 MP is qutie alot and the getting rot gut for fuels is pain (6 fruits per pick 6 min CD => 1 fruit per min ...also need 1 wood to destile = 12s.
need 4 rot gut for 20 fuel means 8 apples and 4 wood . that makes almost 9 mins of farm for 20 shots.

Compared to that 10mm ammo
1MP 4 gunpowder 1 junk. TIs 2mins +4 + ~1 = > 7 mins for 100 shots.

the only thing that works for flamer is the cone - if you hit ~3 targets per shot its good ;]

Generally takes me 6-8 normal hits with a flamethrower to kill a deathclaw.

It seems retarded when you consider my hth char does about 180 damage a turn.
