You are right, Pistacja, but do you know what the problem is? I don't know if the devs are part of this nonsense, but everytime someone suggests some wastelandish feature, he/she is marked as "friggin' Mad Max wannabe" and the debate starts deteriorating.

It was just started by some well known forum warriors. You can safely ignore it. ;)

How do you want more "wastelandish features" introduced when you have people running around with plasma rifles, laser rifles, gauss pistols, brotherhood armors and creating crafting-specific alts? It's not that "wastelandish features" are bad, just the presence of some of such ideas in current 2238 environment is...questionable. As someone mentioned before, there are lots of caps, so there are lots of cars. Remember 1-2 months after wipe? "Oh oh oh make cars cheaper" and such blah blah.

Cars are good as they are! Btw some butthurt detected in the post before mine  ;)

Well dear Kilgore, why don't you read some of my posts in which I insist that tier 3 gear should be very hard to get, or even scrapped from game? According to what you just said, this kind of changes would make the "enviroment" better for "wastelandish features" :) but still, when I said that, you just said "oh but you are not a TC player"... Poor TC pr0s: we, the "non-TC friggin' Mad Max wannabes", want to ruin your game with consequences for your actions and battles with basic gear!

By more wastelandish most of us who have played fallout, going out and finding cars, a stash of turbo plasma rifles, wouldn't be soo strange.  Since this universe is basically 50's meets the Jetsons.  But really the other issues the game faces are the largest hurtle for things like this brilliant car idea.

I've never found any FCC. Started to play in august, yet no luck.

very stranger, y started in november and im finding like 5, they become into beautiful cocroaches!!

Eternauta youre right, actually everything in fonline can be easily obtainable via Caps, thats a very bad problem, so make cars "craftable" could be very good, with FCC that is hard to obtain, and you cant just buy it,
seriously devs need to rehink the way of obtain thinks to something more than simply pay caps, thinks like super tool kit or even mercs will be good to get them via quest, not only paying those caps.
also eternauta are you from Argentina right?

1. "tier 3 gear very hard to get" basically means that big and well organised gangs would still have lots of it and casual players would haven't it or even if they came across such gear, they would rather stash it in their tents forever or sell it to those who are able to use it (big and well organised gangs). I explained it in that topic which you are talking about, so maybe read twice or something.
2. About "oh but you are not a TC player" part, I looked at my posts in that topic and it seems I didn't write anything about TC there. Please don't put in my mouth words that I didn't post, ok? I don't care whether you are "TC player" (whatever that means) or not, and moreover, after testing all possible settings of TC during last 1.5 years, I'm against the idea of TC at all. So, basically, you are just overreacting at some posts.
3. The problem with "Mad Max wannabes" is not that it wouldn't be interesting, just all such people seem to be out of reality of this game. Oh wait, I stated it in my previous post..
4. There are no consequences for actions in the game where you can always register a new alt character and play it again as you want.
5. I don't know how long are you playing this game or what is your experience in pvp or pve or whatever, but you should get used to the fact that people who want to win will use always the best gear available (if they can afford it, of course, but then again, that means well-organised gangs will always have the best gear and use it to defeat their enemies - see gauss pistols and previously bozars examples).

As you probably have bank accounts with large ammounts of caps, I'll gladly wait till wipe to see your moaning about car prices being too high (remember, you can always lose your car just because a bit of bad luck ;) ).

I'm liking the prospects of the suggestion.  And having read much of the fallout lore, I think it would fit right in.  As far as discussions about posts, and such, umn, this is a thread about cars...

Trokanis and Reinat: thank you for your comments, and yes I am from Argentina.

Kilgore: first of all, please accept my apologies, man. Just like you said, it was not you who talked about "non-TC players", but Lordus. So yeah, I am sorry about that.

What you said about tier 3 gear being hard to get is right, that is why I honestly think it would be nice if we could never obtain it. In my other post I said "either hard or impossible to get" just because I wanted to show a moderate attitude, and also I typed it a bit quickly and should have review it. However I might have to make clear that when I speak about "tier 3 gear" I only mean Weapons and Armor. In most of my FOnline fun combat experiences (both PvE and PvP), both sides were using tier 2 or lower.

You mentioned something about whining because of car prices. I remember making a suggestion about lowering car/merc prices. If you were talking about my suggestion, I guess you are a bit right. I don't think the same now, and in fact I might revise my old suggestions someday when i got more time and delete most of them, as experience has shown me I was wrong.

But anyway, this suggestion is not only related to amount of cars in game and caps. It's also about how to obtain cars: repairing a random car found somewhere sounds better for me than just buying it. Also, the high amount of caps is a problem, so this suggestion would reduce the consequences of so many caps in game.

Also:
As far as discussions about posts, and such, umn, this is a threat about cars...

As long as we don't troll, I think it is ok to talk about other topics in this thread. After all, the intention of this suggestion is to make car system more "wastelandish". So discussing about what is wastelandish and what not, and if it's ok to add such features, is alright.

PS: added another idea, so I edited the original post.

i think.
available cars - more fast beta testing, for people that make it.
hard way to get car - after beta. hard is good.

That way the "hard way to get cars" would not be tested but just imposed.
