New crushing/melting perk for weapons

Crushing/Melting perks both do the same, they basically destroy the enemies armor in no time. In case the target has no armor, it has a random 10% chance on crippling a random limb (if aimed shot, it gives +5% to critical tables). Each hit grants much higher %det gain on targets armor than a gun without the Crushing/Melting perk. This, can be used to absolutely destroy someones armor in case the gun isn't powerful enough to fully penetrate the armor.

Weapons that may have perk "Crushing"
Crowbar
Super Sledge
Mega Power fist

Weapons that may have perk "Melting"
Plasma Pistol
Alien Blaster (if ever going to be implented)
Improved flamer (may require damage lowering)

Crushing/Melting perks both do the same, they basically destroy the enemies armor in no time. Crowbar - a rare weapon.
Super sledge - I have seen like 2 people using it, and haven't seen them in any town.
Mega Power fist - Oh god, there are even Unarmed builds in this game?

Plasma Pistol - Doesn't deal any high damage against good armor, when shot, the guards will probably just kill them or the target is going to shoot him.
Alien Blaster - not implented
Improved Flamer - It's too expensive to run around with such weapons in some random towns, never seen anyone carrying it in a town.

Unless APA are implemanted (or if everyone had 600HP), it will be faster to direclty shot with normal weapons, and be able to loot an armor not so deteriorated, than destroy his armor first.
So, useless for me.

Unless APA are implemanted (or if everyone had 600HP), it will be faster to direclty shot with normal weapons, and be able to loot an armor not so deteriorated, than destroy his armor first.
So, useless for me.

PK vs some loner walking around with plasma pistol. Now PK thinks: if he survive my first strike He will fock my armor up a little. It's not worth it. 10-20 Deter per encounter is just not worth trouble. Also we gone have some use of fastshoot plasma build.

I like idea.

Mmmmh... I heavily doubt the PK will think like that. For me it would worth it. And most of them won't check gear before shooting anyway.

Plasma pistol is almost extinct, it requires quite way too expensive mats and it's damage still isn't satisfying, as most armors just deflect plasma, magneto laser pistol can be crafted with ease and has the Penetration perk. Next time someone will think before attacking a random guy with a plasma pistol, even if the attacker has a BA, nobody wants a broken BA, do we?

Next time someone will think before attacking a random guy with a plasma pistol, even if the attacker has a BA, nobody wants a broken BA, do we?

Plasma pistol with it's range is pretty useless right now even for fastshooter. It would be really useful to have some special kind of bonus. Counting like 5% deter per shoot it's like 25 to 30% deteration for one turn for turn based playing fastshooter.

Unarmed builds are somehow easier to lvl than melee weapon builds (at least for a loner, who can't afford buying 2 supersledges + armor every day).

Like Crazy said, it aint gonna work with current settings. It's much more encouraging to use weapons that simply kill enemies fast than to try break their armor.

Hm, I leveled my melee build with a knife. And it was as easy as leveling up an unarmed build. And one knife was enough for about 10 lvls. Wait, were you actually joking with the SuperSledge for leveling up?

knok down/knok out perk for shovel ? in rl shovel will know out if hit in head, i think.

Suggestion is ok, but there shouldn't be a perk that's further increasing a critical chance. In that case everyone with 35% of critical hit will have a 100% chance to get a crit when shooting in the eyes from these weapons.
