Entering the hub is a crime? Bug/Glitch?

unprotected in the very first time entering a town is strange indeed. you should put up a report on the bugs section about it plus any other circumstances.

If you will be playing this game mostly alone then it would be advisable to try level up and place skillpoints to outdoorsman so can move relatively faster and avoid encounters safe or otherwise. Turn based combat setting is recommended but don't go venturing east towards necropolis otherwise you may encounter some really really really slow combat/escape.

I don't know why I did not make a screenshot this (I really should have, I seem to have the worst luck in this game's history), but here goes.
I just made a character with 10 agi and 10 luck for kicks. Obviously not a good build, but I wanted to see how that'd work out.

It didn't. It failed far worse than I could possibly imagine:

I lasted about 1,5 minutes...I tried getting to the NCR from my spawn (Didn't think there'd be several ones), encountered a group of small radscorpions after 2 seconds of travel and was killed because I couldn't make it to the edge. What makes me especially frustrated is that despite having 10 agility and 10 luck, I died by 1-hit-crit-KO because there was a radscorpion hiding near some trees near the edge I ran to.


I really want to love this game. I really do. But it doesn't want to love me.

Boon Lived:
Get a tent, put your stuff in it and don't carry too much with you at one time, and you'll get by.

Reginmund:
if there is anybody around then you could try to ask them to take you to NCR or stay put in the nearest town and I could come and pick you up.
Don't worry about losing the things you begin with, just try to get a tent and everything can take its time from there.
