Keep getting killed by NRC guard at workbench

I have had the guards shoot me to death and then warn me to put my weapon away i personaly thought it was funny

Reconite:
I would like to know why NCR is killing people for sight of drugs in the first place! In Fallout 2 I thought they accepted that drugs were part of freedom (also, if drugs are illegal why is there a giant slave pen right outside NCR?) and only Vault City guys were aggressive towards them. I don't recall being killed for having drugs in NCR in Fallout 2.

The guards did the some stupid shit to me as well. I had a gun in my main hand without noticing, I was running around with it for ages until a guard asked me to put it away. When I actually put it away, they shot me. I had been running around in front of them, crafting for like 10 minutes. :(

Is it possible for the game to play a sound for the player that is warned? Is the code of the game capable of this? Warning issued by guards in Fallouts were wasy to see and they were always towards you. This is no longer valid in 2238. So a sound alert when the guards notice you are doing something illegal in an area would be really helpful. A whistle or something.

If that were put it the game, it would have to be the alert from Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
