1.Is thief cool-down possible ?

If there is a cool-down for gathering, why not set a cool down for the stealing?

It should stop the thief abusing, just make thief choose target more wisely and not to try to steal everyone in town. 

And the Total Earing Efficiency would be more balanced.

2.Gathering Issues

Why the gathering cool down of mining and herbing and chopping woods have a same cool down?

Can we devide the cool-down timer into like 4 kinds(mining, chopping wood, herbring and gathering small junks like junk,elec parts,etc)?

If we could do above, is it possible to make profession for gathering system?

Like pro-miner ? which could use a timer for mining only and could "study" further?

and each "miner" level will raise the efficiency of each wave of hammer, and reduce the add of cooldown of each wave?

this could also apply on other kinds like herbing and chopping...   


3.The Beginer's protection and helping measures.

It's a little bit further,  but I think we should make a easy start and put the harshness and fun later on. If we gonna make it good and big. : )

Measures like create more easy jobs or just raise the shit shovel should be done if you ask me,

but we do have to put a level cap to the easy jobs, or some of them.

And also make the players which just created less than an amount of time unattackable by counting the ingame days

but you will lose this protection once and for all if you steal.


4. More Hote Rooms ! And locker rent !

There should be more rooms and hotels, the hotel system is not really functional because the cost is so low and the rooms are so less

Either raise the cost (but I don't like it), or add more rooms if possible.

Booking System and Reputation Count also could bring in to hotel rent make more people like to behave nice

And can we give a system for rent the locker, but for beginners below cretian level only?

I like the newbie protection but of course it will be rejected (the idea is the faster you explore and experience it the faster you learn and adjust)

I really like locker renting. Just I cant think of a way to be fairly implementable. Wed need to have lockers in buildings which would need to be only yours kept by the guard which means they would be very limited and there are a few places that lockers exist but could be used like VC, NCR police st, dunno everywhere where lockers are. Of course this needs a lot of brainstorming

Could we program like this:  physically we need only 1 locker, and with different combination of number( like 123) you input, you open different locker space?

     Topic: Why me???!!  About:  NPC Combat Targeting



      You know, it's really kinda of weird...

      When you encounter enemies and merchants from different factions, they fight each other.  : ) Well, we all like that, don't we?

      BUUUT! If you're spotted by an unfrendly(like Mercanary or PressGang),  they just begin chasing you like dogs chasing squirrels !!
      
      They just ignore everthing else!! They don't give up until their last breath!! Since they see you, you're the only thing they can see and feel!!

      Even an enemy of his,  is standing right besides him and shooting at him !!

      And if you met with NCR Army(Friendly) and Raider(Foe), and onre of the raiders saw you, it would become a reeeeal chasing race...

      The only possible explainaton:  they really hate players sooooo much....

      But back to the topic,  Can we give a solution like :

      When the NPC engages, they simply targeting to their nearest foe regarding the factoin? And changed target to whom are attacking them ?

      Or, can we make a threat formula ? For the NPC to choose target?

      Anyway just give something that could draw their attention away.... I hate to be the quirrel....

There always has been a 30 seconds CD for stealing, which is more than enough, most of the time when somoene spams "hugs" on you he just uses science or repair. Just to annoy you. Most thieves check everyone in town because most poeple dont carry items anyway in NCR. Also if you would increase the steal limit to lets say 2 minutes, it would kill the skill, since its incredible easy to get rid of a thief, push him once or move away and bam hes out.

Well, for exprienced player, thieves just is easy to deal with.  but for the newbies, they may lost everything if the thief foucus on them.

Because before they get their tent, they have to keep something on them, and unfortunatelly, they don't have much experience and skill to deal with the thief....

And by steal the newbie only, thief could get reeeeally efficient....The total earinning ecciciency is sooo much higher than normal, and also IT'S Bad for the New Guys.

Or shall we make like someone below Lv.X cann't be steal from?  lv.3 ? lv.4?

      About:  Junk Town Gate Guards Judgement     


       You know, Junk is a good place, the security is tight, and you are not allowed to holding a weapon inside.

       Today, when I got the junk.  I hold a Sledgehammer in hand since I just got back from a minesite...
 
       I walked to the gate gurad, he said nothing and let me in.

       BUT!!! When I walked out...he shouted, put that weapon away!! and shot me...

       So...IF a sledge is considered a weapon and not allowed be equipped on....Why don't the guards told and warn me earlier....

     About: Reputation Losing and Gaining

     It's not easy to be a good guy in wasteland, if you really keep your manners all the time...

     You know, if you never robe someone who not shoot you on sight, and not steal, and....

     Well, back to the topic then.

     I lost some huge reputation due to unknown reason today, see  http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=8956.0
 
     And my reputation with VC just dropped to -371 lol.....

     I try to raise it quickly, not wait it to drop 20 a real day.
   
     Someone told me that Trade would work, I tried trade with "Harry's" outside and "The Room A" Gun Shop inside

     With each of them I tried  caps for goods, goods for goods,  goods for caps,  and even gave them capsand goods for free...     

     But trade with none of these raise my rep with VC....

     And the VC Caravan just shot me on sight on the world map, so I can't trade with them...

     How I can get some rep other than waiting??

     Further about the Reaputation System, players lose karma inmany ways: steal in town, blocking the doorway, shoot some NPC...

     But there is really very few ways to get reputation back though, any trade, it  dosen't seem to be working to me...

     Can we add more ways for players to raise reputation? Like Shoot the bad guys of unfriendly Factions?

     For example, set  VC Faction against the Raiders (need to think more because of the Small Gun Pro3...) 

     and if you kill raiders around the VC, your reputation with VC raises, could we do like this?

    Or just simply give caps or goods to an cretian NPC to "Buy" Reputation?

    And also, could we set door blocking not decrease you rep down than -300, but still keep shoot after blocking certian time function?

    It  worth to be shot at, but not worth to be shot at every radom encounters by caravan I think...


    Sum it up, we need more way to gain reputation...

maybe youre a slaver or from enemy faction? Guards dont hit you until you are below -700 if I am not mistaken. Also why do you create such a big wall of text, its hurting my eyes
