you bring a very important point, and i wonder why no one see it. Ever wondering what goin wrong? man, see at the map. it somekind of no history or development there. citys were there, are there, and will ever be.
Nothing really change, except always the same lame gangfights. For me , i was always fascinated by the sentence in the intro of fallout 2 "a new civilisation would struggle to arise", but hell, here where we have a chance go writing fallout history, where always standing on the same spot, over and over again the freezed point between fallout one and two (some sort of weird kings langoliers scenario
) .
What fun would it be to see the towns developing, fighting each other, dissapaering from landscape, somekind of a dynamic landscape of power,of intrigues and betrayed hopes (remember, nothing more is the sotry of fallout!).'NCR fight to gettin more influence, vautl city would finally destroy gecko and refugees are building up new town (or reciprocal) nowadays its about gang x fighting gang y (why towns cannot hire gangs for their protection and with that the gan on power and wealth? ALso so being a raider or enclave member would make more sense than just "gettintheprofession!"), the town is much more replaceable and plays no role for game dynamics, its somekind of a painting for big gangs with some sweets (money ,drugs from town control).
OK some would say, gna nothing to do with fallout online. But then play Fallout 1 or 2 without towns
, or rename FO, cause its just not fallout, just somekind of Duke nukem 2d
