no point really, the weakest weapon a newb can actually have a use for is the 10mm pistol, the mauser is just plain terrible, therefore, if we are gonna have a tutorial style item the stuff would be ok I guess. Here's  a list of what I feel the tutorial should contain.

1. The small guns boost dude, so newbs can get a starter gun and a tiny ammount of ammo on the getgo.
2. An NPC who gives you 3 metal parts, 10 gunpowders, 5 junks, and 5 wood. so you can craft a basic weapon.
3. A dungeon style area, holding ants and weaker critters, the area is kept under lock and key by 1 guard, can only be accesed by people under lvl.5
4. A free doctor
5. A guy who gives a basic armour, Leather Jacket

and a whole lot more which I have no plans on typing down at the moment, wanna play some GTA 4.

I think the free doctor would have to be hard to access or required under a certain level
"You're experienced enough that you can last on your own."

Armor is just fucked to back, you can't even really loot it, or at least I haven't been able too. Level 3 with leather attacked me yesterday and got him killed, opened his corpse and his armor wasn't there. So what armor is just off limits except to the buyer? That's even worse than it just dropping for people to snatch up.

you have to wait for the guys corpse to disappear, it'll be lying on the ground, he "melts" out of it

hahaha wow. That's just awful. Like above the inconvenience I would expect from this game. Is it totally impossible to strip someone, or did the radiation melt the back fat from people onto the suits, requiring them to super rot out of them?

also one suggestion, a very simple one: one safe city. no bombers, thievery getting a little bit harder, no town raping. As NCR was approximately before you no longer punish bombers. I (and also many other i think)  need a place to rest our bones and just talking, getting or giving tips, or trade. You will see this town will flourish, and it was also fascinating to meet other player and not just shoot them when they come in your encounter...

Yeah but everyone is going to say thats a bad idea for some stupid reason that doesn't really effect them or another.
I agree it's a good idea.
I also had an idea, for when the game starts getting a move on major updates more often, maybe at some point we could try a no overworld type setting, you know like an open world environment. I already know it would cause alot of problems but it's just a suggestion. The game feels small when its just walking around and randomly coming into the same area over and over.

you bring a very important point, and i wonder why no one see it. Ever wondering what goin wrong? man, see at the map. it somekind of no history or development there. citys were there, are there, and will ever be.

Nothing really change, except always the same lame gangfights. For me , i was always fascinated by the sentence in the intro of fallout 2 "a new civilisation would struggle to arise", but hell, here where we have a chance go writing fallout history, where always standing on the same spot, over and over again the freezed point between fallout one and two (some sort of weird kings langoliers scenario :D) .

What fun would it be to see  the towns developing, fighting each other, dissapaering from landscape, somekind of a dynamic landscape of power,of intrigues and betrayed hopes (remember, nothing more is the sotry of fallout!).'NCR fight to gettin more influence, vautl city would finally destroy gecko and refugees are building up new town (or reciprocal) nowadays its about gang x fighting gang y (why  towns cannot  hire gangs for their protection and with that the gan on power and wealth? ALso so being a raider or enclave  member would make more sense than just "gettintheprofession!"), the town is much more replaceable and plays no role for game dynamics, its somekind of a painting for big gangs with some sweets (money ,drugs from town control).

OK some would say, gna nothing to do with fallout online. But then play Fallout 1 or 2 without towns :P, or rename FO, cause its just not fallout, just somekind of Duke nukem 2d

It's not quite so bad. I'd say a more appropriate comparison would be a Fallout Tactics MMO. Gameplay-wise I'd say Tactics is a closer experience to 2238 than Fallout 2. You shoot everyone that isn't you and your buddies on sight, while NPC interaction and quests are few and far between.

It's a combat game for combat characters to do some serious combat business. I don't believe that's what the developers intended it to be, but that's the way it's developed. It'll change, though. Eventually. Hopefully.

Talking about making games is always easier than actually doing it.

Talking about making games is always easier than actually doing it.

I hear it's almost as easy as dismissing an entire thread.

There's a lot of legitimate discussion here, why not give it a try?

I think that the game is easy. U can have a lot of stuff with tips and tricks.
The things is that the game should include a guide at the beggining of the game like a vault or arroyo. Those place should explit how to craft, fight.....like ideas yet suggested.
