Alerting the guards of a crime and one minor nitpick.
« on: June 30, 2010, 12:29:00 am »

So I had been talking to this trader in NCR when some guy named Doctor-something came up and tried to rob me.  I assume he had a high steal skill because none of the guards noticed.  I DON'T have a problem with this.  What I do have a problem with is that none of the players in the area could do anything about it.  We all saw him run up while one of us was talking to a vendor and swipe our whole inventory.  I walked over to a guard and tried to talk to him but there was only that same bit of dialog.  So I got to thinking, why can't we ask the guards to keep an eye on someone.  In the above mentioned situation for example.  I think that after maybe 3 people report someone to a guard, that player would need to either, lay low for a while and act calm, or have to have an even higher steal skill to pull things off successfully.

As for the nitpick, can the GMs or whoever please stop making power armor fly across the entrance of NCR?  It is pretty annoying.

The actual system of detecting being robed is kindda good, only dropdown is that you gotta be really reaaaaally aware of what is happening to your char maybe you can move the trade window a bit so you can see your char while trading idk.

btw flying PAs rock dont stop doing it i love when people go to exit grid for em and discover they cant take it  ;D

Abusable, just like this system. I don't like thiefs either, but if they have a high enough skill, why wouldn't let them rob us ? They fairly deserve it.
