Wasteland Stories
« on: June 06, 2010, 10:41:23 pm »

I thought about wether i should post this here or not and...well..LagMaster somehow did the start of it with his "Adventures". So i decided maybe its time to do so. But this isn't meant to be some kind of competition. In fact the stories i've done so far are written a longer time ago but i wanted to write some more parts before making it public. And i think its ok if some more people are creative in that way ;)..

This first Part here is holo disc compatible. This means you can copy/paste the text onto a holo disc and it will fit to the maximum number of letters (chars) you are able to write onto a holo disc. So...enough talking...here's the first part...have fun:

Wasteland Stories Part I

We had a big sandstorm last night. It was horrible. Luckely i was just searching for some rare ore in some abondened mine as it came over the area. But as the storm was over the tremendous disaster he caused showed up. My little village was completely destroyed. All the tents were gone and there was almost no sign of life in the area anymore. Everyone who didn't had the luck to call a save place his own was curved down to his bones in less then some seconds.

I've lost all my stuff and even more than that. Good friends of mine turned into a simple name on some random gravestone and my wife...damnit..i will never find a woman like her again in this fucking wasteland. The few survivors moved to the next bigger cities.

Some others and me finaly made it to the New California Republic. Here the storm didnt caused that much damage and the people just went on with their daily buisness. So i tried my luck there and searched for some job. For days i shoveled the shit out of the stables and with every piece of shit i also shoveled away my motivation to live on in that world. Luckely after some weeks the office of Tandy, the governor of NCR, had some job for me. Some gang betrayed the rail lines of the train which connects the NCR with some other big towns. I had to take care of them. Well, i never liked to kill people but at this time i didn't even care about anything anymore. I searched some mercenaries, who were looking for some job too and we "solved" this problem.

At least i earned some caps and could buy myself some better equipment. After that i moved on. I had enough of that city and wanted to leave my past behind me. I went to Reno...

To be continued...

If someone is interested in the next part(s) he can meet me ingame. Bring a holo disc and i'll write the story on it. You then can load that into your PipBoy and read it ;)...contact me per PM or in IRC...

Thx Lag...unfortunatly...not many are interested in getting the stories ;)..

OK ill post the second part here but any other goes via holo disc ingame...i could give people my own discs to load them into PipBoy too but that would be annoying...i would loose em quick...so i decided its better if people bring their own.

Wasteland Stories Part II

After i decided to move away from the NCR i needed a plan to travel to New Reno. I managed to join some caravan which moved to Vault City. They dropped me out near Broken Hills and i had to walk some days to reach the town. But...finaly i was there. What a dirty city! Well...i didn't heared too much good stories about it anyway but i also heared you could get some "easy" jobs here too. As i walked along the streets i saw gangsters looking at me, wondering if i may got some worthy stuff with me, saw Junkies begging for some dose of JET and prostitutes who watched out for the next "customer". I wasn't here for even some minutes and yet i knew i wouldn't stay longer than a day. Some guy told me that the Mordinos, some kind of mafia gang, may have some jobs for outsiders. So i took my chance and walked over to their casino.

A guy named Lil' Jesus offered me some kind of job. Had to deliver some kind of suitcase. After i accepted i was told to go to The Den and deliver it to some other guy. Damn! Den was about one month of traveling away at least if i would walk the way but i better didn't moaned about that and moved on.

But before i moved out i told to myself: "This trip will be long. Maybe i will die on the way. Lets have some fun before i miss the chance to do so again." And with a slightly smile on my face i went into the Cat's Paw. Some well known location where lonely guys like me can have some fun.

The next day i got up early, traded my last caps for some food and some ammunition for my SMG and my Hunting Rifle and went out to leave that dirty place...Now the wasteland had me again...

Somehow, I preffer Lag-Masters stories, they are kinda... more fun? I don't know what but your stories miss something, but it's still interestin to read them.

I still can be reached over e-mail if you somehow need anything from me. Don't see a reason why you would, but if you do, e-mail remains the safest bet, as I do not visit this forum reliably anymore.

Thx for replies ;)...well @Haraldx its some kind of fictional journal or at least its supposed to be one and this guy didn't had much fun (yet) in the last time. That's why the text's mood maybe is a bit melancholic. Its just my point of view of a "wasteland" like in FO and how somebody may describe it.
