my point is this sesion is to long and it would be good if you will focus on new sesion.

I like how people teach me on everything bad, while I just asked what sense it makes to wipe without any big game change being ready for release that would hold players for a longer time.
There's no point in wipes at all. I don't know any other mmo that deprives players from their entire possesions every 365 days or more. Imagine a wipe in EvE Online - I'm sure that would keep the people playing. Wipe is a bug and it should never happen again.
No, beta is not an excuse for wipes. If you keep a game in beta for 4 years then call it Duke Nukem 2238 already and make it official that it's not going to leave development hell ever.

T-888, based on your logic, we should wipe the server every week.
I think people saying that they dont need HUGE changes and new features, they want new session with just few fixes here and there. Players want already to play stable server without bugs, they dont want new features which will bring much bugs again...

Based on my logic it should periodic until there isn't need for a wipe and every week is just an exaggeration. I'm not talking about updates which are impossible otherwise, but wipe is quite necessary to uphold some game play quality and again until it is not needed, but as I previously stated there isn't anything that holds players, there is no end-game goal and no, purely just some random stuff that gives us no more options for what to play or how to play is not going to make players stay. They will just come check, oh yeah few cool features, get bored of them and go away. Think town control, not in mindless pew-pew direction, but as an activity which provides some reason for players to play.

I guess you will throw more blunt statements and I'm just wasting my breath here as the game hasn't really ever improved, it just has been floating just barely above the water all the time and I don't expect you or anyone else here to suddenly understand your mistakes or ever again be motivated to do anything worthwhile with this project other than toy with it.

Uh no, you didn't say that, you are just throwing some careless and bold statements.

There's no point in wipes at all

I've seen wipes happen in games where their needed and there are games where their simply not needed, and 2238 is the game where wipe is a necessity due to how the game is designed.

I think people saying that they dont need HUGE changes and new features, they want new session with just few fixes here and there. Players want already to play stable server without bugs, they dont want new features which will bring much bugs again...

Exactly. Quality, stability, performance is key, not raw amount of content or how much shit you can count in the server someone calls features, because it will not count for anything if the game is lagging, is bugged and all the good solutions wasted. Good example was the new town control system they implemented a while ago, so much potential, but they just scrapped it, because nobody from them could present a working and stable version, it is so sad ...

i must agree with skycast.
make good fixes and few small/med features.

chage bp system, change repair system, fix trading system, add auction system, give us new perks, rise level cap up to 28, give us new weapons and armors (you can change range, damage) like bozars, pulse rifles, pulse pistols or new weapons like in tla mk2, remove mercs and replace them with followers, add possibility to get resources from encounters like electronic parts, junk, metal parts using proper tools, change tc maps and tc zone, open v13 for pvp,  and many others features you have in your head.

This session is too long and pvp players have nothing to do. I like this serv but if it won't hange we will stop playing it. Nr is empty, no one is doing tc...serv is dying

Maybe now is a good time to add content, since players have gear to blow on new quests and storylines.

i wonder when will devs start announcing this game anywhere. i found a same type of game (mod for single player game).. for fucking pokemon from gameboy with textures in 16x16 where all you can do is training pokemons.. and it has professional site, commercials and there is like 5000 players online if not more. it's free either. all you need is proper commercials to bring players to this game.

Professional commercials cost money.

Pokemon has tons of players because its a more popular franchise and its a better game, not because of adverts. Wiping won't fix the fact fonline isn't worth playing because the drastic changes needed will never come. You might get players back for a day until they see its the same crap as before. As for stability, its not really an issue. If the server still lags with 50 people online its not due to the cache.

i ...

dont see any reason for wipe cause its instrument for adding real changes. But if they arent prepare you want to make wipe to get 500 people for maybe 2 weeks into game? They dont play cause game look like now look so after wipe game will be same so maybe this 500 its impossible to get there.

One question why you use too many forum accounts jacky? Cause ragemaster is banned?

Holy jesus, this thread again? Move along, nothing to see there. You must be insane to think that after four years someone here will listen to players... those that did are long gone.
