Ok, I just found this encounter (it found me actually), but I can't even enter the first gate. Can't find the key to it.

Where does one find the key to the gate? I'll worry about the car when I get that far

Well thanks for your reply. I must be stupid or blind then. I've been clicking around on this map and checking every crevice without avail. I spawned on the south west side of the map, hence I'm on the wrong side of the map. I can't find any tunnels, items, holes in the fence or other objects I can interact with.

/edit: there is, however, a small black square in the bottom left without any textures in it.
